Quick update.

Huge Congratulations Indians how lovely that we had ours on the same day.

I will update with full birth story later if anyone wants to hear it. Things didn't quite go as I thought and my labour didn't progress well to start. Very painful yet very slow contractions. Went in at 00.15am and had baby at 9.55am. I'm exhausted as I haven't slept. Unfortunately placenta complications so lost a lot of blood after birth. I've been transferred to a birthing centre for some rest and to establish breastfeeding.

He weighed 7lbs 6oz. DH is thrilled but also so tired bless him. I'm going to try sleep now.

Indians, congrats as well - will bear in mind when I have my sweep next week that it could all happen very quickly! Enjoy the feeding and bonding and hope they let you home soon.

Bluebell20 I feel your pain, I feel like I just don’t have what it takes to go into labour naturally. Its frustrating.

Well 41 weeks tomorrow and my last sweep and induction date set. So have it all booked in for 14th of July.. six days for this baby to make its way out naturally. To be honest the last thing I want is an induction but atleast I am waiting for as long as I possibly can. I guess I just need to think about what sort of induction I want this time. Long and slow or quick and painful… Last time I had a full day of gel the first day, only had them break my waters the next morning and had the drip as late as possible which was 6pm. Because I haven’t slept the whole night at the hospital I was so exhausted by that point and ended up with a forceps delivery and a lot of blood loss. This time I am not sure if I should just progress things faster and get the drip earlier, hopefully everything in the same day.. not sure thats possible but tomorrow I have another sweep and will find out.

Bluebell fingers crossed you can avoid induction, there's still time. I totally understand how you feel but I've been induced all 3 times with mine and I still look back on my births with such fondness, even though they weren't how I would have planned them given the choice they were all such positive experiences....and you'll finally meet your gorgeous baby...good luck

I'm sorry I'm really behind with everything but struggling to find time to post. I'm reading everyday though and hope for those with new bubs that you're ok and those still waiting that you are too!
