So we can keep in touch and pass on words of wisdom!

Perhaps someone clever could link to the stats?

Link to the last antenatal thread... July 2016 (10)

Hope all the babies are doing well, hope to join you soon! (More pics please Grin in the hope that they might bring on a hormone surge to encourage labour! )

I'm with julfin and foobio. Please let the baby-less ones learn from the masters before we eventually make it here.

Speak - what a gorgeous baby!!!

So far the only advice i have is moses baskets are a con and always put a change mat on the bed before a nappy change(!!!!!!)

Just sat breastfeeding in sainsburys baby room... how my life has changed! Not confident enough to bf publically yet

Becks can i ask why ben has a dummy and if he breastfeeds then does it affect feeding?

Thinking of introducing one at night as she just wont settle in the moses basket (i know she isnt hungry as she doesnt want to feed.. just lie on me/on the bed and im too scared to co-sleep)

Hi Primary. I'm not breast feeding Ben unfortunately so I give him a dummy so he can still have the comfort of suckling. He doesn't use it that much to be honest and settles at night without it. DD had one too. We took it away at 18 months with no issues to speech or teeth.

Ben is sleeping really well in his Moses basket but DD would never settle in it. We co-slept for 5-6 weeks then moved her straight into her cot where she settled fine. I think some babies just don't like Moses baskets.

Thanks beaut.. midwives dont seem to give honest advice in this area. It all seems to be dummies = work of the devil, with no honesr consideration of the benefits! Angry

Well today was DH's first day back at work. He's on the late shift so left at 2pm and will be back at 01:30. I think I've done ok. Managed to cook tea for DD and myself, give Ben a bath and put DD to bed with no tears from anyone!! I've even managed a mini pedicure and to run the Hoover around downstairs. Ben is now having a cuddle sleeping on my chest whilst I watch masterchef. Today has been a good day Smile

Marking mine and George's place Smile

Thanks for making the thread primary I was literally coming on this evening to see if there was one! Been missing the chat and didn't want to post BF related issues to everyone still awaiting their bundles to arrive

becks you are super mummy!! What a days achievement!

Loving the baby pics!! Nearly all my pics of G have my boob in them Blush

Re dummies - one of mine had one, one didn't. The BF one was the one who did! No problems. Also used nipple shields for the record. Rebel. I think the main issue is they stop the baby giving signals to produce more milk. However they've saved my sanity over the years! I've always used Mam ones. And no speech issues etc.

How's everyone's weights going? Babies obviously Wink we have lost s few ounces and I know it's normal but I'm now trying to force the boob at every given opportunity!

DH is working tomorrow ( an odd day for extra money) and I have to get all three children to a party at 10am Confused and then rush to my midwife app at the hospital for day 5 heal prick test at 12. Wish. Me. Luck.

Good luck for tomorrow cookies! I'm trying to be organised and sometimes that's easier with DH out of the way!

Ben has done really well weight wise born 7lb 10oz only lost 50g in total (think that's 1.5oz) At 2 week check with health visitor he was 8 lb 2oz! I think he's going to be a big boy!

cookies ive got my weigh in and heel prick tomorrow too.. annie is feeding a lot but always falls asleep on the boob so i dont know as if shes actually feeding that well :/ its been a problem the last couple of days because of the hard rocks that have replaced my boobs - "leaking" milk?! More like "power showering"milk!!

becks good god i can barely get myself in the shower with dh doing the housework and supervising the baby. You really are superwoman! Im gonna be so sad when dh goes back to work :(

Marking my place. But for the record, your baby has been held very close to you for a long time. Then suddenly they are in the big wide world and can't even hear your heart beat.

There is lots of advice on how to co sleep safely. But also try using white noise apps in the moses basket etc.
