Good luck Anna! Xx

KayTee87 · 25/07/2016 05:24

Anna I'm thinking of you today Flowers

Still nothing happening here, have my mw appointment on Wednesday so really hope head is engaged or she can't even try a sweep. Never thought I'd be hoping for an internal examination Blush
My husband said yesterday he thought my bump looked lower but only after I'd asked him so not sure I can rely on that.
Anything else happening with the rest of the 'ladies in waiting'?

40+2

GoingLoopyQuickly · 25/07/2016 05:44

I am getting increasingly uncomfortable discomforts bit I can even really call them pains yet. I just think it is my body getting ready.

I do have that dull period pain thing going on.

I wiĺl say I got a good kicking from the baby in the middle if the night at about the same time as really sharp pain in my groin/hip. That took my breath away.

Liz09 · 25/07/2016 05:50

Thinking of you, Anna.

Nope, nothing happening here, Kay. Midwife won't do a sweep until 41 weeks here and she'll only then do one if the "situation is favourable" haha. Looks like there's quite a few of us who'll be nearing the end of the month (possibly even early August!)

Anna thinking of you today xxx

pulpi · 25/07/2016 08:38

Thinking of you today, Anna.

GoingLoopy - I feel your pain completely. My baby was involved in some sort of dance or aerobics competition for two hours last night. By 2am I had no idea if I was have a contraction or was being punched in the bladder for the 284848th time.

Woke up this morning with more period pains and a ravenous hunger. Not sure if I'm having contractions or if the birthing ball is trying to kill me. I'm unreasonably worried that somehow I'm in active labour but just don't know it. I mean, I'd know it, right? Right?? Confused

40+4 and slightly panicked. Time for some Real Housewives of Wherever.

julfin · 25/07/2016 09:23

Anna, thinking of you today - hope it goes as well as can be expected xx

GoingLoopyQuickly · 25/07/2016 10:04

I have been secretly hoping that my pains have been labour and I have avoided proper contractions, but I def had a mini mini mini contraction this morning and it reminded me of what is to come and confirmed that I am not yet in any labour except maybe pre pre labour

KayTee87 · 25/07/2016 10:38

pulpi I'm so glad you've said about getting kicked and punched and thinking its contractions. I've had a couple of instances where I've had some pretty bad pains that have come to absolutely nothing and I'm sure I must just be getting battered. Feel silly thinking its labour starting but I've just no idea what to expect Blush
I have had pains in my cervix that make me double over and cry out so hoping that's it thinning out ready for labour.

dats · 25/07/2016 11:37

Anna sending so much love your way today xxx

pulpi eek!!

Lulabells · 25/07/2016 13:33

Sending you best wishes Anna

Still very much pregnant here. I also had a lot of movement last night and feel a little less pregnant today so think he has engaged a little more.

Jealous that some of you are getting pains (did I really say that?!). It's my due date tomorrow but I think I may have a little while yet. We are nearly there ladies!

KayTee87 · 25/07/2016 16:14

I don't want to get too excited but there is actually a definite drop in bump today compared to a picture i took last week, it also just feels like its on my lap when I'm sitting down and..... I felt like I was about to start my period there - actually went to the bathroom to check for blood even though logically I know I can't have a period just now. Had 2 cramps now should I start timing them or wait for more? My husband is going to a football match with his brother tonight and would be home at 10, I don't want to ask him to cancel because it means his brother wouldn't be able to go either and then everyone would know that I might be in labour (unless DH lied to bro)

becky140290 · 25/07/2016 16:59

Hiya :) I've been a bit of a lurker as baby was due in June. Baby was overdue though and arrived 4 July. Evelyn Rachael at 7lb 10 :) please can I be added to the Facebook group?

NicolaM84 · 25/07/2016 17:26

I'm still playing the waiting game Hmm
I've had 2 sweeps, at 40 & 41 weeks which caused some cramping that didn't amount to anything. I'm booked in for induction tomorrow at 12 days overdue. Wish me luck Wink

julfin · 25/07/2016 19:04

Becky - to get onto the fb group search for Julia Finch and befriend!

Ellizardo · 25/07/2016 22:04

Anna - sending thoughts and love
Liz - another ex pat Aussie here in uk...2 degrees, bah!

Congrats tams - like how you slipped the small matter of birth of your daughter in there! Would love to see pic 'n' name once you've had some kip

Final stretch ladies

tams13 · 26/07/2016 06:17

Thanks for the messages everyone. It's been a whirlwind! The you'd know if you were in active labour question - possibly not. I got to the birth centre fully dilated and pushing slightly but still convinced I'd be sent home!

Megan is lovely but we're having the inevitable feeding issues.

tams13 · 26/07/2016 06:18

anna I hope yesterday went as well as possible. Thinking of you.

pulpi · 26/07/2016 07:25

Good luck with the induction today, Nicola!

Still waiting over here. Inexplicably, the swelling in my feet has disappeared! Cramping continuing, but no contractions. Today is my unofficial due date (as opposed to the 21 July date I was given at my 12 week scan). Fingers crossed something gets triggered today.

40+5

AnnaT45 · 26/07/2016 08:04

Thank you all so much for your lovely messages. It was rough but a very lovely day in the end. We had mum buried in a natural burial ground it's like a meadow with wild flowers everywhere. Incredibly peaceful and beautiful. That was the hard part! The church and wake were lovely. I even had a glass of fizz to celebrate! My friend is a paediatric nurse and told me baby is fully cooked so one wouldn't hurt!

I saw the midwife in the morning and I'm 2/5 engaged so guess it could happen anytime now. Was just pleased I kept it in yesterday! Meet my consultant tomorrow morning to get my section info but should take place Monday if I don't go into labour before.

Sounds like things are happening for a few of you! Going over 40 weeks is crap. I really sympathise. It's uncomfortable and tiring and boring!!! I got through it by having a cream slice from waitrose everyday!!

DD woke up last night with a temp and wants cuddles in front of tv today which suits me fine! Got lots of admin to do so will do with her on my lap.

eliz how funny! Where are you from?

Hope everyone is well xx

beckslovestimmy · 26/07/2016 10:16

Hi Anna, glad you got through the day. The meadow sounds beautiful. Have a nice day doing as little as possible on the sofa.

Here's hoping those cramps turn into contractions Pulpi.

*
Tams* well done!!! Look forward to hearing all the details and seeing a pic when your ready. Hope the feeding settles down soon.

Good luck for induction today Nicola.

Congrats Becky, there's also a post natal group on here with lots of lovely July and a few June ladies.

pulpi · 26/07/2016 10:27

According to my magic 8 ball, I'm never going to have this baby. Hmm

AnnaT45 · 26/07/2016 11:56

Oh pulpi!! It will come don't worry. I know this part is so hard. When do you see MW next?

Yesterday as I was leaving the wake I got a bloody pile!! Jeez... Was my day not bad enough?! Anyone else suffering? It bloody hurts! I think it's because I stood up a lot yesterday as I find sitting too long uncomfy and all the pressure got to my poor bum!

AnnaT45 · 26/07/2016 11:57

Thanks becks how are you getting on?

GoingLoopyQuickly · 26/07/2016 12:45

Piles have graces my pg and my mw and doc said it is unlikely to go before babe is here. I got stuff on script from the doc and not uncomfortable now. Just there.

I am still feeling surprisingly positive about still being pregnant. My edd is Thursday/friday this week so not quote over 40. I am sure I am in some kind of pre labour but in terms of time, that means nothing.

I realised my biggest comcern was that the later this baby comes, the less time I will have with her before I go back to work in April (KIT days starting in Feb). But of I need to I can find a way of postponing my return by one month. So lets see.
