I've been having an upset stomach and occasional sharp cervical pain this morning. Trying not to worry as its probably just hormones and stretching.

My nausea is coming back at the moment but milder. Hopefully it stays away!

I'm having another private scan tomorrow at 10+6, had booking appointment 2 weeks ago and nhs scan is on 26th, will be 12+5. Couldn't go on hols next week without knowing what's going on down there!

London I have told my fitness instructor, she supported me through my last pregnancy. At this stage there probably aren't many modifications but I wanted to let her know as I have been nauseous etc and I wanted someone to know what was going out if I took a "funny turn" or something! As it's my second I have noticed already that certain ab exercises are tougher. If you don't want to tell the instructor yet just bear in mind the advice I was given last time, exercise when pg is for maintenance and not for improvement so you shouldn't be pushing yourself too hard.

Hello all, just catching up on a couple of days of updates on this thread. Feeling a bit better after my upset after the midwife appointment - it seems that even if my BMI wasn't an issue there are so many other risk factors later on that many plans go out of the window anyway!! As others have said though, feel they should calculate on pre-pregnancy weight!

Just got my 12 week scan booked in for 26th July, so 2 weeks today, very exciting but nerve wracking at the same time. Looking forward to being able to tell everyone at work after that. Will be interesting to see if any have guessed from the fact that my boobs enter a room 3 weeks before I do

MrsJ I am taking Phenergan for nausea and to help me sleep at night. I'm allowed 20 me 3x per day. I know it can be used for travel sickness. I would speak to a GP though, just do they have a record of any medication.

I remember having a brief discussion re vbac/rcs at my booking appt last pg. I agreed to consider a vbac so it was discussed at each subsequent appt, but I was always aware I could change my mind.

I'm not sure what to do this time around, and will probably need to discuss it with a consultant MW and/or OB. 2 friends recently had very difficult sections and my main worry is not being able to lift my 1yo.

Not much to report from my booking in appointment - midwife was lovely but not in the slightest bit interested in talking about VBAC/ELCS.

She just told me I have to come back for a "birthing choice clinic" around 20 weeks to discuss my options with the consultant/consultant midwife.

I'm 8+1 and I had some more bright red bleeding this morning so went back to the EPU. Saw the same Dr as last week (after my first bright red bleed) and had another scan. Despite the bleed, the pregnancy seems to be progressing well and pickle (the name we have given the little one!) has nearly doubled in size from last week...I think that might explain the nausea this week! Feeling relieved after the bleed but have been told to go again for another scan next week to check that everything is still ok. I am normally fairly chilled out but this pregnancy malarkey is bringing out all sorts of anxiety!

My due date is 20th Feb and it is my first...which probably explains why every little spot of blood and twinge feels so weird and unexpected!

Quick question - has anyone's midwife recommended they take folic acid for four months, not the usual three??

As an aside, did anyone watch the Royle Family Christmas spesh that's on BBC iPlayer? It's obviously available because the lovely Caroline Aherne died. Anyway, if you're a fan, and are close to your Pa, have a watch...it's the episode where Denise goes into labour and her dad comforts her on the bathroom floor to the sound of Pie Jesu. Sobbed. My. Heart. Out. In a good way!!

A head hunter contacted me before I got pregnant for a new role. I sent them my CV and they have been trying to set up a meeting for the last couple of weeks. I told them today that I'm pregnant and totally understood if they don't want to meet anymore. Shockingly they do! I work in M&A for an investment fund and it would be a similar role. Part of me thinks I'd be mad to change so much simultaneously (first baby, new job for the first time in 9 years, etc)

Sky Lucy I'm a huge Caroline aherne fan and watch all the royle family episodes over Christmas. Start early December and it's become a little tradition. Think it will be different this year sadly but I will still watch them as they're fantastic and shoe just how amazing she was x
