A home for all of us enjoying the surreality of the first trimester. We're sick as dogs, exhausted to the core, our boobs hurt, we've developed superhuman senses of smell and we're shirking all alcoholic bevvies with a variety of lame excuses...

...we're preggers and over the moon! Join us if you're due in February 2017 and fancy wisdom for the weirdness, support for any sadness, and a safe place where you can get excited about what the future holds, before you go public!

Evergreen I recognise all you describe, I would say I have a low mood at the moment, I had it with my other pregnancies in first trimester.
One step by step and we will get through this phase.

Gin, good luck for your scan xx

gumbootsandjandals · 10/07/2016 15:56

Hope the scan goes well gin

I thought my nausea was easing off but I feel very grotty today. Have spent most of it lying down so far. Yesterday I was hungry and ate a lot. Today am struggling to eat. Feel I'm going to vomit soon. I am planning to go back to work tomorrow so this better just be a blip.

I have been bf my 13 mo til now. His latch has been getting lazy for a while, esp for the evening feed. Yesterday he just mucked around at bedtime so I have decided to stop that feed. Will carry on with the morning feed for the moment.

Evergreen17 · 10/07/2016 16:10

Blueskies I hope you are right and there is light at the end of the tunnel Sad

GinandJazzHands · 10/07/2016 16:35

Thanks guys. All went great; saw the heartbeat, they dated me at 7+6 so really close to my estimate. So relieved! DH cried; easy to forget how stressful the early bit is for them too!

GinandJazzHands · 10/07/2016 16:46

Sorry to hear about the ms gum, mine has been a bit on and off the last few days but threw up last night. Normally I feel rough all day but only vomit in the morning so guess it's pretty unpredictable. Hope yours eases off soon.

GinandJazzHands · 10/07/2016 16:51

Hang on in there blue and ever, hope you are feeling better soon and that you also have people in RL you can talk to when you are feeling low. Xx

Laura2803 · 10/07/2016 17:46

Hey ladies it's my first time in here I thought I'd say hello! I'm pleased I'm not alone too. I'm Laura 28 this will be baby no 3. Xx

Dutchy88 · 10/07/2016 18:30

Got my scan in the morning, fourth one so far this pregnancy, I am feeling so nervous it's unreal. We've had so many ups and downs since we found out and I just don't know which way it's going to go tomorrow.

Laura2803 · 10/07/2016 19:05

Hope everything's okay for you Hun! I haven't seen midwife yet xx

MarjorySunshineDust · 10/07/2016 19:19

Welcome Laura and congratulations, how far along are you?

Dutchy I hope the scan goes well for you tomorrow.

blue and ever Flowers Sorry you are feeling low.

Must admit I've been feeling pretty low this weekend, really fed up with this trimester. I feel so bad for dd because I just have no energy and we've been missing some of her playgroups, and just not doing as much fun stuff as usual. I lost it yesterday and ended up sobbing to dh that I hate being pregnant and we must be mental to do this again Blush

GinandJazzHands · 10/07/2016 19:26

Thinking of you for the morning dutchy xx

GinandJazzHands · 10/07/2016 19:27

Welcome and congrats laura!

Laura2803 · 10/07/2016 19:34

Thank you!! I'm not even sure mw said my Edd is 28/02/17 in our phone convo. Number 3 would think I'd know but I'm useless lol!! Thanks you and congratulations to you all too. I'm super tired this time not felt like this before Xxx

Blueskies80 · 10/07/2016 20:08

Welcome Laura and congrats! I am expecting no 3 too!

Dutchy thinking of you tomorrow and really hope it goes well.

Thanks for the sympathy. I am usually mega active so think it's the exhaustion that's getting me down and the fact I don't feel right, I don't feel like me. Hopefully the second trimester is the bringer of better things. I vividly recalling telling dh with dc2 I hate the first and third trimesters! Another one thinking we must be mad!!

GinIsIn · 10/07/2016 20:17

Evening all! So nauseous today that I spent the morning sat on the bathroom floor crying and phoning my mum. I'm 33, for crying out loud!!

Laura2803 · 10/07/2016 20:35

Blue sky's what children do you have we have 2 girls. I was sick from the off with them. I have no symptoms what's so ever this time it's slightly worrying. I know I'm wondering if I'm a little crazy too going for a 3rd. Lol. Xx

Readyfortwo · 10/07/2016 20:40

Does anyone know if ur pelvic floor gets weaker during pregnancy? Mine was shot to pieces after DS1 but I thought all was pretty much back to normal.....just sneezed & I wet myself!!! That can't be normal??

MarjorySunshineDust · 10/07/2016 20:57

I think it does feel like that during first trimester ready before your uterus moves up. I've definitely had one or two urgent trips to the loo recently!

Ginger06 · 10/07/2016 21:06

10+4 today so far this week was the worse. Can't wait for my first scan just 10 days to go Confused

SkyLucy · 10/07/2016 22:00

Ah fenella I sympathise. DH is away, and yesterday there was something so upsettingly stinky in the fridge that I phoned my mum to come and sort it out. Then had a little cry while she cleaned it! I'm 32. God only knows how I'm going to look after a kid?!

Glad it's not just me falling apart! Had to call in sick this morning because I feel so God awful, and sobbed to my DH that I just want to feel like me again! But now worried I've jinxed it. I've literally never been this irrational in my entire life. Oh the joys!

Evergreen17 · 11/07/2016 07:37

Morning everyone

So sorry for those of you that are feeling like crap Sad

I am, on the other hand, worried that my symptoms are receding Hmm
8+5 and my boobs are not so sore (although thanks god because the broken glass soreness was hard)
I sometimes do feel uterus stretching a bit and I have headaches. But headaches might be because I am at home instead of out exercising and getting fresh air.

Anyone experienced this? Symptoms going away?

I dont want to get into the worrying game as 3 weeks and some for my next scan Sad

BoomKapow · 11/07/2016 07:48

ever I had very few symptoms, only sore boobs and exhaustion. Last week even the tiredness got a bit better. On Friday I had an early scan at 9+6 and we could see a healthy baby waving at us and doing flips! So don't worry too much. I think around this time a lot of people start to feel better. Also the stats are possitive at 8+5, by the data I have they are 97.8% everything will be great. Those are really good odds. Keep positive.

Evergreen17 · 11/07/2016 08:17

Thanks Boom I definitely dont feel as tired
I saw a heartbeat at 7 weeks and so far nothing to indicate anything has gone wrong.
It is that the wait for 12 weeks scan...
And lack of symptoms .. ConfusedConfused

Readyfortwo · 11/07/2016 08:22

My symptoms disappeared around wk9/10 ever. I'm getting a little nausea on and off now (wk11) but nothing like what it was. Boobs def aren't as sore.
