A thread for all of us who have very recently discovered we're upduffed, with a due date of the achingly-long-away February 2017. It's early days for us all so there's lots of good news, sad news, sage advice and never-too-silly questions.

Second thread already! First is here: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/2642653-Due-in-February-2017?

flying, I can't wait for next week's GoT episode, all I know is it's called 'Battle of the Bastards" and I REEEEAAALLY want someone to stick it to Ramsay AngryGrin

gum, (()) that sounds tiring and frustrating and awful. Inadequate weird Internet hugs.

GinandJazzHands · 15/06/2016 22:30

gum that sounds horrendous you poor thing.

Welcome to all newbies! Fenella your post made me laugh.

Dutchy88 · 16/06/2016 05:06

Good luck today kellz

So I've had no more bleeding since a tiny bit Monday morning. I've got no symptoms but I had none until well into pregnancy with ds. CB digi still says 2-3 so whilst it's not gone up like I would have hoped, it hasn't gone down, and it took a while to go up with ds (at 12 week scan ended up being put back a week so I must ovulate late).

Ginger06 · 16/06/2016 06:04

Morning ladies it's nice to find you. How are we feeling? I'm 7 weeks and one day today nausea is getting worse been up since 2:30 hope it won't last longer
Wish you a nice day

ButtonTum · 16/06/2016 07:54

Hi all, newby to these pregnancy parts after recognising some familiar names from ttc threads.
I am 5+6, due on 10 Feb with baby #1. I'm interested to hear so many of you have paid for private scans. Can I ask how you've done this (sorry if v obvious) and how much it costs? I've had a gp appointment but haven't heard from the hospital yet about my first midwife appointment / scan

Evergreen17 · 16/06/2016 08:02

Hi Button! Welcome and congrats
I am 5+0
I havent booked a private scan, I will wait to see when they give me an appointment for the NHS scan. Nerves

FriendlyGhost · 16/06/2016 08:50

Hello Button! I just googled private reassurance scan. Mine is £45. I haven't even booked with the mw yet but if it's anything like last time the Nhs scan will be around 12 1/2 weeks and I'm too impatient to wait that long. I drove myself mad last time and cried all the way through my scan as I had convinced myself something was wrong so I want to avoid that this time or at least get that stress over earlier.

Gum you poor thing. I hope you managed some sleep and are feeling a bit better today. Nausea is horrible and relentless.
Good luck today Kellz. Will be thinking of you.
Dutchy it sounds really promising that you still have high hormone levels and have stopped bleeding. I think it can take a while for the monitor to show 3+. Fingers crossed!

LondonGirl83 · 16/06/2016 09:01

Hi Button. Lots of clinics provide them. I would say the typical charge is about 100 GBP in London (where I'm based). I think people tend to book them as if you see a heart beat at 7-8 weeks the miscarriage risk goes way down. It basically makes the 4-5 weeks before your official 12 week scan on the NHS slightly less stressful if you are a natural worrier by nature. Of course, you'll still worry (just about other things!).

I personally have had a miscarriage before so I am trying not to let myself get too attached until the scan (to protect my heart). Have to say, I'm failing at that though :)

I feel very positive about this pregnancy. Just a real sense that it is going to go really smoothly. Fingers crossed!

gumbootsandjandals · 16/06/2016 09:14

Nausea has ramped up a notch today. Initially I requested a call back from the GP surgery to discuss options, however the duty nurse has just rung and suggested I see a doctor. The callback was so I didn't have to traipse down to the surgery with the 1 yo Angry. Anyway, will see what the Dr says but given I'm struggling to both eat and drink I think I might need meds again. The fresh air will do me good Hmm

Evergreen17 · 16/06/2016 09:16

Ok ladies I am in my way to my tansvaginal scan and I dont remember the last time I was this nervous
Probably the last time I had an interview
Appointment at 9:50
So nervous

SpinALittleFaster · 16/06/2016 09:16

ma I had an abdominal scan at under 6 weeks last time and they saw everything including the heartbeat. 8 weeks is definitely far enough along for them to see :)

Evergreen17 · 16/06/2016 09:16

On my way

FriendlyGhost · 16/06/2016 09:21

Hope it goes well and they can see something Evergreen

SpinALittleFaster · 16/06/2016 09:26

Good luck evergreen

Masweetpea1 · 16/06/2016 10:04

Good luck evergreen x

ScottishSnowflake · 16/06/2016 10:07

Hi Bubbles! Welcome to the thread Smile

Good luck EvergreenSmile

HighHopes16 · 16/06/2016 10:39

How did it go Evergreen ?
Is anyone else paranoid that everyone somehow knows they're pregnant?
I feel like all these half days off work & hospital appointments are really obvious and my mum keeps bringing up the conversation of when are we starting family!

MarjorySunshineDust · 16/06/2016 10:42

Good luck evergreen and *kellz

Hope you don't mind me having a moan. Feeling so sick and tearful today. Im cutting out my sertraline on gp advice so getting withdrawal symptoms from that as well which doesn't help. Wish I had someone I could call on for support, thought I would have my mum but she doesn't seem bothered.

Scarydinosaurs · 16/06/2016 10:48

Good luck evergreen

ButtonTum · 16/06/2016 10:52

Good luck evergreen
Thanks everyone, I'll look into it. I am desperate to tell my parents but don't want to jinx anything until we have seen a heartbeat!

GinandJazzHands · 16/06/2016 10:53

Thinking of you evergreen let us know how you get on!
marjory you poor thing, you moan away lovely that's what we are here for. Can't be easy cutting those out at an already anxious time. Thinking of you and hoping all will settle down quickly once your body adjusts.

GinandJazzHands · 16/06/2016 10:56

Hi button I've recently googled it and decided to book one for Sunday 10th July when hopefully I will be about 7.5 weeks. Haven't even had my first appointment with GP yet (that's on tues), so don't want to jinx anything but know I'll want to know by then of things aren't progressing. Does anyone know if you have any say over the timing of your Nhs scan? We are away visiting family for the 11th week.

GinandJazzHands · 16/06/2016 11:01

Button I know what you mean. Telling my mum tomorrow as we are visiting her and live far away, plus she'll likely ply me with wine and will be suspicious if I stick to just the one or refuse. I'm a bit worried she will worry more as its really early, but on balance id tell her anyway if something went wrong. It's a tricky one either way!

ChozzleopsTheThird · 16/06/2016 11:20

Good morning All,

3+5 today and feeling sick as a dog, massive headache which I'm putting down to caffeine withdrawal :( booked my GP's appointment and they had a cancellation so going this afternoon. Feeling nervous about sneezing Hmm worried about dislodging things which I feel even sillier about now I'm typing it!

Wispa , Flying I can't wait for next weeks! I am concerned Sansa is going to be secretly working with Ramsey, that would be typical GoT twist!

Good look today Evergreen let us know how it goes!

These reassurance scans sound interesting, definite worrier here Blush

GinandJazzHands · 16/06/2016 11:26

dutchy that's good news the bleeding has stopped. Thinking of you. kellz thinking if you too lovely, let us know how you get on.
