A thread for all of us who have very recently discovered we're upduffed, with a due date of the achingly-long-away February 2017. It's early days for us all so there's lots of good news, sad news, sage advice and never-too-silly questions.

Second thread already! First is here: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/2642653-Due-in-February-2017?

Hello, in new to this thread.. 😀😀 edd is the 9th of Feb making me 6+ 6 days. Is anyone starting to get nausea??

Readytosettle · 22/06/2016 20:41

Sorry to ruin your hypothesis Friendly but I'm veggie with a DS! There is a think about acid/alkali cm that can impact the sex which is influenced by diet, but I guess it depends what veggie food ur eating!

H007 · 22/06/2016 20:44

I can thoroughly recommend Omega 3 supplements for the veggies amongst us. Opti3 do a good one its got EPA and DHA in it. Pricey but good for brain development for the little ones. (p.s. I don't work for them 😆)

Evergreen17 · 22/06/2016 20:50

Sad I had a cry and shouted at OH Sad
I got upset as I was trying to teach him something I learnt today and he wasnt taking it seriously Sad
Then I cried and shouted and cried.
Now overeating and going to bed

I am honestly feeling very miserable. I have a very strong feeling that things won't work with this pregnancy and I can't wait for 8 days to have my scan Sad

I just want it all over with Sad

FriendlyGhost · 22/06/2016 21:05

Oh evergreen you poor thing. Hormones are a bitch at the moment and probably have a lot to do with how you're feeling. Feel free to rant away on here. We're all here to support you.
Welcome Honey. I think a fair few have nausea. Mine is starting to kick in. I find constant snacking helps a bit.
There's always one that has to be difficult ReadyGrin I actually read a thread on here a while back about someone who was (I think) sticking lemon up 'there' to try to create acidic conditions for a girl. I'm sure it wasn't actually a real post but she got flamed! I don't know if it got pulled but it amused me during a 3am feed.
Thanks for the tip H007

Hopeful83 · 22/06/2016 21:14

Londongirl I also feel massive this time round already at 5 weeks but wasn't sure if it is my imagination. Maybe I'm just deluding myself that my stomach was flatter than this before!

No symptoms here at all which is unsettling me a bit, but I'm sure once sickness kicks in I'll wish it away. Last time I had sore boobs and sickness by now

Evergreen17 · 22/06/2016 21:15

Thanks friendly Sad
I dont know if hormones or what. Now OH and I upset with each other and I am feeling so anxious about work tomorrow Sad

Dreamingoutloud7 · 22/06/2016 21:27

Oh evergreen I think it's to be expected that emotions are high at the minute, think we'll all have a cry over something that normally would be looked over.
I know hormones are definitely partly to blame, but the limbo situation before a scan is difficult, and not sure about everyone else, but for me that was unexpected.

Twins run in my (very large, Irish) family too- I'm the first of the cousins to NOT have twins. They also run in my husbands. I would love twins now, but would be happy that I didn't have them as my first as I think it would be a big shock to go from 0-2, but 2-4 wouldn't be as bad.

FlyingSpaghettiM0nster · 23/06/2016 06:05

Looks like I may get bad news at my scan later. A couple of days ago I did a CBD and got 3+, this morning I got 2-3. I know it's not definitive but it isn't a good sign. Considering the clots I passed yesterday as well. We'll see, I'll let you all know how I get on

HighHopes16 · 23/06/2016 06:19

Thinking of you Flying - really hope you get good news today. Flowers
ever no I've not told my manager yet, when I was in hospital a few weeks ago (for the bleeding/pain) I text him to ask if it was ok if I had a couple of hours off the following Tuesday to attend a follow up appointment and he was really nice about it. If everything goes ok at my scan tomorrow I'll probably tell them when I'm roughly 12 weeks.

ScottishSnowflake · 23/06/2016 06:26

Thinking of you today flying, take care of yourself.

Dreamingoutloud7 · 23/06/2016 06:48

Thinking of you flying, like you said it's not definitive, I will have everything crossed for you

Suffered chemical in February
First baby

Booked a scan for 7 weeks on 8th July and have my booking in on 14th July.
Is anyone else finding time has come to a stand still? Days are going so slow because I'm just on countdown to get to my scan

Feeling apprehensive after chemical and just want to know everything is ok.

Thinking of you flying Flowers

I'm trying to decide if I should call my midwife. I've been getting fairly mild stretching type pains but last night had quite a severe stabbing pain. It has all been in exactly the same place so don't think it's just wind or any other glamorous pregnancy side effect. Only registered yesterday though and think it seems silly to call again today. Hmm.

Scarydinosaurs · 23/06/2016 09:00

spin always call if you're worried, but cramps and no bleeding isn't something that would be concerning. How bad were the pains? I hope they go away today Flowers

SpinALittleFaster · 23/06/2016 09:08

It felt like someone kicked me really off to one side. I've had a recurrent shoulder pain since around about my first positive test so together that's niggling at me to get checked. Really should have mentioned that yesterday.

Witch91 · 23/06/2016 09:32

Hi Spin, I had similar pains last week and rang 111 as I was worried, OOH Dr said it was probably that I had strained a ligament around my uterus as they become more stretchy so easier to damage. It did go away about 24 hours later. Although one of the other symptoms they asked if I had was shoulder pain, so probably is a good idea to ring. I'm sure the Midwives won't mind, it's what they are there for! [Smile]
