A thread for all of us who have very recently discovered we're upduffed, with a due date of the achingly-long-away February 2017. It's early days for us all so there's lots of good news, sad news, sage advice and never-too-silly questions.

Second thread already! First is here: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/2642653-Due-in-February-2017?

evergreen dreaming I'm about 6 weeks ish. Still bleeding today. God knows what will happen tomorrow. I'm 50:50Confused

HighHopes16 · 22/06/2016 09:18

Scary Yes its basically a sensitive area on your cervix, caused by a change in oestrogen levels so very common in teenage girls, pregnancy or women on the contraceptive pill.

SkyLucy · 22/06/2016 09:19

Thanks SO much everyone!

high good to know it has a proper name!

Good luck sky I really hope it goes well. Always best to go with a full bladder you can easily get rid of, than an empty one and try to fill it!

flying are you able to sit and rest today?

ever we're onto something, I'm sure!

Hi all, just had a read through and am checking in. Welcome to all the new BFPs and sorry that a few have left the thread Sad

5+3 today. Feeling nauseous; if I cough I gip. Certain smells are making me feel awful. Also bone tired. I had heartburn last night too but it was nothing to do with the extra portion of apple crumble while watching Game of Thones...

Inspired by some of the comments today I rang the GP surgery and made a booking appointment with the midwife. The next available appointment is late July (9+3) so I was wise to do so. Little voice is saying... and you can always cancel it. But I'm ignoring that one.

Lucy1308 · 22/06/2016 10:08

moosh how annoying is it that they all seem booked up for weeks on end? When I rang my GP to ask what their protocol was they just said ring back at 8-10 weeks. Good job I didn't otherwise I'd probably not get seen until 12 weeks since they are booked up three weeks in advance!! They obviously couldn't have told me this when I first rang up... Absolutely not! Hmm

H007 · 22/06/2016 10:08

Hello waves

I think I might belong in here. I'm not sure of my EDD but I think I'm straddling Feb and March. Had a BFP on Sunday for Father's Day, but I've known for the previous week. This is my 2nd and I was so poorly with DD who is now 4 and a half that I am slightly nervous about the forthcoming trimester. Anyway early days... And I've got lots of weddings/parties I need to try and secretly avoid drinking for.

Dreamingoutloud7 · 22/06/2016 10:27

H007 congratulations! Hopefully this one will be easier than your first, fx

I keep getting concerned that everyone is waiting ages for a midwife appt, my surgery seems so relaxed about it all! Hmm

Scarydinosaurs · 22/06/2016 10:29

H007 I hope you have an easier time this time around!

FlyingSpaghettiM0nster · 22/06/2016 10:44

scarydino I am at work but I am mainly sat at a desk. I hope that will be enough rest!

Still hoping that the bleeding has another cause which won't harm baby. We'll see.

sleepyMe12 · 22/06/2016 10:45

Morning everyone!

I've got my scan date through 8/8 but no booking appointment as yet.

I think my son has chicken pox 😖 So waiting to hear back fron the doctors.

Anyone else not have any or many symptoms apart from being bone tired I have none!

Scarydinosaurs · 22/06/2016 10:47

Feet up as much as you can and rest, flying

PhoebeGeebee · 22/06/2016 11:05

Just had booking in appt with community midwife who came to my house so easier than having to go to hospital. Got scan date of 13th July when I'll be exactly 12 weeks. Three weeks to wait - hurry!!!!

Everything crossed for you Lucy and Flying (why isn't there a crossed fingers emoji??!!)

Readytosettle · 22/06/2016 11:20

Wispa is it ur scan today? What time?

Lucy1308 · 22/06/2016 11:23

Kellz I know how you feel on the exhaustion. 6+2 today and I literally cannot keep my eyes open!!

Jojoclaire · 22/06/2016 11:25

Eek! I won a work award last night and now my boss wants to set up team celebration drinks this lunchtime! Usually the type of affair where glasses of bubbly are repeatedly topped up, lovely any other time, but not right now...

Looks like I'll have to tell her after all. I've fobbed her off with lunch plans but that can only buy me a day or so...

Oh well, I'm sure there are worse things to think about. I'm thinking of everyone having scans this week, and good work on all the appointment bookings

Kellz92 · 22/06/2016 11:29

Lucy i really need to nap, im struggling so bad :(

Jojo congratulations on the award

xx

SkyLucy · 22/06/2016 12:01

On the way to work following my scan...all went well, phew! Saw the heartbeat even though I'm apparently only 5+5 (which gives me a revised due date of 17 Feb...my birthday!)

They were really lovely and thorough (hello transvaginal scan!) They could see a bleed where the placenta is forming but apparently that's fairly common so they weren't worried...I only have to go back if the bleeding continues for two weeks, or of course if it worsens.

Thanks for all your support - fx for good news for everyone else who's worried at the moment.

HighHopes16 · 22/06/2016 12:06

Great News Lucy Amazing that you saw the heartbeat so early!

I've had a grilling from one of my colleagues today asking about all the hospital appointments I'm having.
She actually said 'What's wrong with you then?' & I said I didn't want to talk about it. Really wanted to say You'll find out soon! but don't want to be too obvious or get my hopes up !

Scarydinosaurs · 22/06/2016 12:12

high that's so rude!! Is this colleague also a friend or just REALLY nosey??

sky fab news- congratulations!

pheobe that's so soon!! Really exciting!

FlyingSpaghettiM0nster · 22/06/2016 12:13

HighHopes16 · 22/06/2016 12:14

No Scary she's just really nosey ! lol It will be nice when I can hopefully reveal all after my 12 week scan...long time to wait before that though!

Kellz92 · 22/06/2016 12:14

sky glad all went well, yeah i had a transvaginal one too, hubby was saying oh look its E.Ts finger haha

High kick her in the shin and walk away hahahah, nosey mare! none of her business, she is only a colleague not your boss
