A thread for all of us who have very recently discovered we're upduffed, with a due date of the achingly-long-away February 2017. It's early days for us all so there's lots of good news, sad news, sage advice and never-too-silly questions.

Second thread already! First is here: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/2642653-Due-in-February-2017?

Morning everyone & welcome size

Woke up early & did a digi, hoping to get 3+ But still stuck on 2-3! I'm 5+1 today. I did drink several pints of water last night though (so thirsty!) and pee was fairly light.

Should I worry? When did you get 3+?

CeeCeeEnnEss · 18/06/2016 05:52

So sorry Aubergine Sad

I haven't taken any more tests after the initial where I got 2-3 a couple of weeks ago, but I've heard they're not mega accurate anyway?

Dreamingoutloud7 · 18/06/2016 05:53

I wouldn't worry sparrow some people have been saying that they didn't get 3+ until they'd passed 7 weeks and they were fine.
It's funny I remember worrying and being like, I just want a strong positive then I'll relax, then it became, ok I'll relax when a digital one says pregnant, now I'm with you and need the weeks to move to 'relax' next I'll need my scan. I'm starting to wonder if anyone ever relaxes in the whole 9 months Confused my dh certainly thinks I've lost it!

Evergreen17 · 18/06/2016 06:31

Sparrow definitely do not worry. I am 5+1 and got a 2-3 as well. I think that is good news.
Every woman is different and hormones rise at a different rate.
I am going to test again in a week's time, when I am 6 and we shall see Smile

Lucy1308 · 18/06/2016 07:10

Sparrow I'm 5+5 and got 2-3 last night aswell. I was disappointed but I know that it's irrational- it works based on generic thresholds rather than what may be individually normal for you. I'm going to put the pissy sticks down and just go about my days as normal. Provided I don't get any bleeding or pain I'm sure everything is fine. I told my best friend today (she's 20 weeks) and she says she still worries about everything not being ok, so it's reassuring to hear that it isn't just me and it's also nice to have someone to talk to IRL about how it all feels.

So sorry to hear that Aubergine. I hope you have plenty of people IRL for support :)

Morning ladies - lovely to see lots of little scan pics & good news, thinking of those who haven't had such a good time recently. Flowers I'm after some wisdom & advice please- I went for a viability scan on Thursday- dr could see a sac but no heartbeat as yet- questioned dates & I think they were right but we pretty much know conception was something like 9-15 may. But when you date from my lmp it makes me around 9 weeks pregnant which doesn't tied with what the CB test said, nor what the scan said. They haven suggested I go back for another scan in 2 weeks but otherwise all looked ok. Yesterday morning I (my bday) I started to get some spotting- it was one pink drop & has been followed by small brown spots, still having it today with really mild ache/ cramp in both lower tummy & my back. I've scanned back through & see that a few of you have also suffered with spotting- when was this and did you have any achy feelings too?

Not sure what to make of my dates- any advice on that? Also I guess the sensible thing to do is rest- I won't be able to get an appointment in EPU until during the week anyway- my dd has her summer school fair today- first time I will have helped out with anything like that so don't want to drop others in it but should I just rest? Trying to be deniable without being ott. Thank you

GinandJazzHands · 18/06/2016 07:42

Morning lizard sounds like a stressful time for you! Think it's been a mix, some have had pain in here and some less so but there has been lots of good news despite the bleeding so try not to worry too much (easier said than done). Going with the 15 May date that would only put you at around six and a half weeks so it very well may be too early to see much. Can't advise on the rest thing from a medical perspective but would make sense not to over exert yourself; then again if it's not too strenuous the distraction might help? Did the docs give any advice? Thinking of you BrewChocolate

ScottishSnowflake · 18/06/2016 07:48

Hi Sparrow, I didn't get my 3+ until 5+6, but I tested on 5+5 and got a 2-3. It literally can change over night! Confused

twocatsandatoddler · 18/06/2016 08:15

Morning all, just catching up on the thread as I'm on holiday and been travelling up to Scotland the last few days. Turns out windy highland roads and pregnancy don't mix very well and I felt decidedly queasy yesterday!

Congrats on all the positive scan results ladies, lovely to log on and see so much good news Grin

Evergreen17 · 18/06/2016 08:16

Lizard not sure what to advise as I am no expert. But I am sore my bean was conceived on the 26th of May and I went for a scan two days ago and all they saw was a sac.
I am going again in two weeks and I have decided that there is nothing I can do and that worrying is making me so tired.
I had brown spotting for 4 days last week.

I hope you get a good result in two weeks and that the worrying days are over soon (will they ever?)

Evergreen17 · 18/06/2016 08:16

Sure not sore
Although my boobs are really sore

Evergreen17 · 18/06/2016 08:17

I meant to say that every pregnancy is different and some signs dont mean anything is wrong Flowers

ButtonTum · 18/06/2016 08:21

Lizard don't worry about what CB says. I didn't bother with CBs but did another IC yesterday to look for a stronger line (am today 6+1) so you might try that if you want reassurance? Will show darker if you're further along and you might see a change. These are mine from 4+5 and 6+0.

Due in February 2017...thread #2!
wispaxmas · 18/06/2016 08:25

Hi lizard, I had pink and red spotting over the course of 2 days, coupled with pain. I went to EPU and the pregnancy was fine, but they found an ovarian cyst that's likely causing the pain, and the spotting is a common early pregnancy thing. I would leave it until at least a week had passed between scans, though, if you want to go in to EPU.

sparrow, I didn't get 3+ until 7 weeks with my DD, who was obviously viable!
