Due in February 2017...thread #2!

A thread for all of us who have very recently discovered we're upduffed, with a due date of the achingly-long-away February 2017. It's early days for us all so there's lots of good news, sad news, sage advice and never-too-silly questions.

Second thread already! First is here: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/2642653-Due-in-February-2017?

So many good news scans!! Congratulations ladies :)

jojo I have told my parents but we haven't told OHs parents yet. Partly because I just know I would only want my mum if something went wrong, but mostly because his parents are living with his other brother (who he doesn't get on with so much at the moment) and I wouldn't want him, wife and kids to know yet. Also a lot of the reason is that SIL has just nicely announced (well, it's been 8 weeks ish as she's just found out her's is a boy!) that they are expecting and they struggled with miscarriage and infertility for a long time to get there so I don't want to take away from that especially as it's early. OH likes it being our secret anyway!!

HighHopes16 · 17/06/2016 16:27

Wow your scan is amazing Pheobe ! Looking forward to mine next Fri now.

Scarydinosaurs · 17/06/2016 16:30

pheobe that is an awesome scan photo!!

Congratulations!!

Jojoclaire · 17/06/2016 16:36

Congratulations pheobe. Lovely scan pic. I tried not to cry too, but I think I was in shock! When she said she could see the heartbeat I said "and it's definitely not mine!" D'oh!!

FriendlyGhost · 17/06/2016 16:36

Lovely scan photos! It makes this all seem so real!

Blueskies80 · 17/06/2016 16:38

Amazing scan news!! My 12 week scan is 14th July so a while to wait still!

SkyLucy · 17/06/2016 17:20

Loving all this scan news, and the pics! Bit jel though - I haven't even been given a booking appointment, let alone organised a scan! The latter would be August, bloomin' aaaaaaaaages away!

Congrat ladies on the happy early scans. I'm going to book mine in for July 3rd when I'm 7 weeks. I could never wait for the 12 week scan.

MarjorySunshineDust · 17/06/2016 17:24

Great news on the scans ladies! So reassuring.

McBaby · 17/06/2016 17:31

Feeling very jelous about the early scans no time to fit one in this pregnancy with two back to back holiday and was very reassured by them the with the two girls.

Congratulations to you all!

My 12 week scan is on 15th July so only 4 weeks to go!

Evergreen17 · 17/06/2016 18:04

Evergreen17 · 17/06/2016 18:06

Jojo, carly and phoebe sorry ported too soon!!

Happy to hear you guys saw your beans SmileSmileSmileSmileSmile

Maybe this is a mega lucky thread

Evergreen17 · 17/06/2016 18:13

Jojo I imagine we will tell my OH's family a lot sooner than mine because my mum lives in Spain Smile
I dont think this is a problem at all. Plus I have decided it is my life and if people get upset about silly things like this it is not my problem.

MotiMadge · 17/06/2016 18:23

Hi everyone!!

Congratulations on your pregnancies!

Hope it's ok to join- just found out I was pregnant on Wednesday. This will be baby number 2. My little girl is 23 months and I found mumsnet so helpful the first time round.

I thought I would be more relaxed this time, but already I'm panicking about my symptoms! The only thing better this time around is that there's less time to overthink everything!

I haven't made appointment with the GP yet but I know everything will feel more real when I do!

Good luck to everyone!

Oh yeah- in estimated due date is 23rd Feb!

Jojoclaire · 17/06/2016 18:25

evergreen they told me I was 7+1 today which was pretty close to what I thought. So I think over 2 weeks ahead of you based on wispa's awesome list?

So much changing every day, I'm sure if you give it a week or two there will be more to see Smile

GinandJazzHands · 17/06/2016 18:25

Playing catch up after work - welcome and congrats to all of the newbies and great scan news all! Off to visit my family this weekend, only 4+3 but will tell my mum later tonight. DH is happy for me to do this as he knows I will want her advice on stuff and we are close so I will find it hard. His family are lively but mil is really looking forward to grandchildren and is a worrier so we will tell them when we next see them at 11 weeks all being well.

Evergreen17 · 17/06/2016 18:37

Hello Moti! Congrats and welcome Smile
Yes Jojo that is correct. So I might see something in two weeks when I have my next scan SmileSmile I will be 7 then Smile

Dreamingoutloud7 · 17/06/2016 19:00

Congrats on all the amazing scans! They look so good, bet they make it feel really real.
Think I might have to book myself one in a few weeks time, I don't turn 12 weeks until August and there's no way I'll be able to wait that long, did you all just google local places or get recommendations?
My surgery says no need to notify them until I'm 6 weeks, but I'll be on holiday then so I'll wait until I come back, will be nearly 8 weeks then.

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 17/06/2016 19:12

So lovely to see all the early scans, I have mine next Thursday when I'll be 6+5

My nausea has really ramped up a notch now Sad had an awful day yesterday where I felt horrible. I was sat just thinking I'm either going to be sick or cry. I had to have a sleep in the afternoon.

Today hasn't been so bad, felt rough first thing and was nervous about how I was going to hold out in a 5 hour meeting today. I managed, and even managed a little bit of the lunch that was put on.

By late afternoon I started feeling a bit normal again, but now I'm home I battling the urge to go and be sick.

I'm only 5+6 it's going to get worse!

auberginefrog · 17/06/2016 19:45

Hello all found the new thread / lots of changes! Congratulations to all those with scans that showed their wee ones. Sadly I think I will be having to leave you all to it - lots of bleeding today after s week of spotting so I am out of this club. Good luck all xx
