Good luck, highhopes, I have everything crossed for you to see a heartbeat!!

I'm 6+6 today, nothing interesting happening in my neck of the woods - a close friend of mine is 10 days ahead of me and she has a private scan on Friday (same day as Phoebe!), so I'm looking forward to hearing how that goes, then my scan is next Wednesday and that will really feel like a big milestone if we see the heartbeat at 8 weeks. We plan to tell our immediate families after that.

McBaby, WOW! I do know someone whose first came so quickly he was born on their bathroom floor. She was planning home birth for her second as well just because of how quick her first was, but now has IUGR, so baby will be induced early or section Sad. My labour is on the other end of the spectrum at about 40 hours start to finish with a baby who got stuck no matter what positions we tried, so I'm not so worried about baby coming before we can get to hospital!

weloveearlysleeptime · 14/06/2016 09:10

Thanks all for the heads up about how to kick start the process. Running a fever of 39 since last night ugh. so worried it's a sign something's wrong :(

HighHopes16 · 14/06/2016 09:13

Thanks everyone, will let you know how it goes after lunch! eeek.

Masweetpea1 · 14/06/2016 10:01

Good luck today highhopes.
My sense of smell has gone through the roof, I've been obsessively cleaning as i think the house smells of our cats. After asking my friend who knows im pregnant she said she can't smell anything..... Doh! Blush Xx

Evergreen17 · 14/06/2016 10:23

Uber & WeLove Congrats ladies

HighSparrow Im wearing a crop top style bra as mines are getting tighter and cutting in

Phoebe My nipples are huge haha

Lykke My GP doesnt confirm pregnancy either, however our midwife likes to see you around 8 weeks

Shadz Dont get much choice regarding hospitals here, there is one midwife unit/birthing centre 15 miles away which id like to have her in, however if my BP doesnt behave like last time it will be Aberdeen Maternity Hospital 30-40 miles away

Gin Congratulations honey!!! I still feel like AF could arrive some days, read that its normal.

IfAtFirst I have been getting tiny bits of brown spotting too

HighHopes Hope scan goes well, let us know how you get on

Wispa Youre just ahead of me im 6+2

Well still getting a tiny bit of brown spotting, but im still getting a lot of creamy cm, the spotting isnt everytime i go to the loo either. I havent got any pain so not overly concerned.

Had an induction for DDs new nursery last night, shes moving to or first choice school after the summer. Shes growing up so fast!!

Hope youre all well. xx

Masweetpea1 · 14/06/2016 10:40

evergreen, don't worry about no symptoms! Last time, i had nothing until 5 weeks and even then it was just slight dizziness. I did however start being sick at 7 weeks right through until 22 weeks. My boobs never hurt all the way through my last pregnancy.

This pregnancy has been very different though, maybe it's because i know what I'm looking for this time Smile

BoomKapow · 14/06/2016 10:43

ever I'm 6+3 and any symptoms I have come and go. One day it feels like someone ran sandpaper over my nipples and punched me in the boob and the next day back to nothing! I'm sure it's normal. well that's what I'm telling myself

We're going to tell my parents on Saturday when I'll be 7 weeks cause I'm going to taste London with my mum on Sunday and she'll know straight away when I don't have a few drinks and avoid my favourite cheeses! I have a private scan booked for 10 weeks and we'll tell close friends and family after that cause we have a big event that weekend and everyone will know, I'm quite a big drinker normally! 😳

Kellz92 · 14/06/2016 10:44

evergreen i didnt have sore boobs at all with DD xx

BoomKapow · 14/06/2016 10:50

high good luck with your scan, hope everything goes well.

wispa well done on the list, this is my 1st dc

twocatsandatoddler · 14/06/2016 11:06

boom same here with the symptoms coming and going. Yesterday I felt totally normal, just a bit tired. Today I feel queasy and my boobs ache. I'm 7+2. It's quite nice actually as I'm getting enough symptoms to feel like something is happening down there, but most of the time I feel fine so not suffering too much.

Ubercorn · 14/06/2016 11:10

It's totally normal for symptoms to come and go and also totally normal to worry. I'm taking it one day at a time - I was pregnant yesterday, I am pregnant today, hopefully I will be pregnant tomorrow. I'll relax a bit once I start to feel movement.

Evergreen17 · 14/06/2016 11:14

Thanks Mas Sad I am such a worrier and I havent had any symptoms apart from my positives and my boobs hurt a but a few days ago but not anymore and I dont have any different CM apart from egg whites kind off
And this is torture Sad
I want it to be week 13 with a good scan Sad

Evergreen17 · 14/06/2016 11:16

Thanks Boom and Kellz I just dont know how to stop worrying all the time Sad
Thanks uber, that is a good tip

One day at a time

PhoebeGeebee · 14/06/2016 11:33

Got everything crossed for you highhopes good luck!!!

I'm having a freak out today. My only symptom was painful boobs and they are decidedly less painful today. I've poked and prodded and they're definitely not feeling as achy.

Is this bad? Do symptoms disappear? Should I be worried??

themightymoosh · 14/06/2016 11:43

Hi all!

I've just posted on the TTC thread that I recognise a few names from! Congratulations Grin

I'm 33, this is my first and I'm 4+2. It's been reassuring to read the last few replies as I don't feel especially pregnant, a tiny bit of nausea every now and then. And I want to strangle OH but that may just be him. Me.

Probably going to try and sort out a booking appointment after eight weeks.

wispaxmas · 14/06/2016 12:06

Welcome, mighty!

As for symptoms, totally normal for them to go! While it can sometimes be a sign of things going wrong you can also quite easily have loads of symptoms right up to a scan and find out that you'd had a missed miscarriage. Symptoms rarely mean anything. Last time I'd never have known I was pregnant if I hadn't been trying and testing and known my period was late. All we can do is try (try!) to put it all out of our minds until the scan. Unless you have bleeding and pain, in which case get checked in EPU!

Kellz92 · 14/06/2016 12:43

evergreen thats no problem i worry too

Phoebe It is normal for symptoms to come and go honey

Mighty Welcome and congrats hun!!

I had a wee bit more creamy/brown cm. is anyone else getting this? i have zero cramps and im not worried due to the colour, its very pale brown and creamy, it isnt everytime i go to the loo either. Im keeping an eye on it. Doesnt help the lighting in works loo is crap too! DH is worrying for me about that lol xx

Ubercorn · 14/06/2016 13:11

Kellz, I've had brown spotting in the early stages of every pregnancy. It could be down to any number of things, most of them nothing to worry about. With my eldest I even had bright red bleeding that got me admitted to hospital at one point and he's fine :)

Disclaimer: I'm not a doctor so if you're worried you should speak to a MW or GP.

HighHopes16 · 14/06/2016 13:11

Afternoon all,

Back from my scan which was very nerve-wracking! They told me to arrive with a full bladder and it was so full that I thought I was going to wee myself in the waiting room. When I got in there she said my bladder was too full so I had to empty some - tricky!

Anyway, they basically saw a very early pregnancy (the yolk sac?) and it looks normal for 5-6 weeks but no heartbeat yet. I have to go back next Friday for another scan to make sure its developing correctly and if it is we should definitely see a heartbeat by then. So that changes my estimated due date to around 9th Feb but I will find out more in 10 days!

HappyMummy1234 · 14/06/2016 13:19

I'm also just back from scan following spotting on Sunday (still ongoing). Sadly mine isn't a positive outcome and they have confirmed a miscarriage.

I wish you all the best and sincerely hope every one of you has a healthy baby in your arms in February. X
