twocats, pregnancy last time was largely fine, despite the heart burn and late stage PGP and horrifically swollen feet and ankles. Labour was fine, too, generally, but it was 40 hours long and I ended up with a 3rd degree tear and 3l blood loss, so while not quite an EMCS it was an emergency situation is rather avoid next time as well (especially given my recovery was twice as long as my sisters with a planned section
).. I'll be asking for a planned section this time. Probably. At my 6 wk hospital check last time they suggested it might be an option, anyway.
This was planned, but I didn't expect it to happen first time trying! DH wanted to try from Christmas, but I fobbed him off until February when I agreed to NTNP, but then I flipped out and totally changed my mind and avoided the FW and told him I needed to wait a couple more months. I still thought I could wrangle a bit more time, though, whoops
DD will be two next month and I'm mainly a SAHM as my job wouldn't cover nursery, dog walker, and travel expenses, but I do work some weekends and school holidays. It gives me time to focus on other things so my mind stays fresh, but then I'm home with DD most of the time. It's actually quite nice!
