Looks like I am the first one due 1st Feb but I tested very early as I felt weird and pregnant!

This is baby no 3 I have two DDs who are 2 and 3.

Hi all and welcome to new bfps. I can't quite decide if I'm having some mild nausea. I feel like I'm hungry but I don't want to eat.... Sounds quite strange. I know i should feel lucky with some ladies throwing up already Flowers but a bit of nausea might be reassuring!!

wispaxmas · 10/06/2016 10:52

No throwing up here, but I'm having to poach DD's snacks at in the night garden live! For those pregnant with their first, you won't know the delights of in the night garden Grin hah, something to look forward to!

GinIsIn · 10/06/2016 11:12

No throwing up here either, but I totally get what you mean, Lacey - I am both hungry and feeling weirdly full at the same time.

I had a total anxiety wobble this morning and had to buy another test just to reassure myself I was indeed still pregnant! Hmm Was very glad to see there were still two lines and they were darker than when I first POAS a few days ago!

Doctors next week. Are there any questions it's important for me to be asking? This is my first baby so am very new to all this!

FriendlyGhost · 10/06/2016 11:20

Hope you feel better soon Highhopes . It's rubbish not being able to take anything.
Wispa my dd loves in the night garden. She sings the theme tune! It's the only thing she watches at the moment but I have a feeling she'll be getting to know CBeebies a lot more as the nausea kicks in!

Lalalala2015 · 10/06/2016 11:25

6 weeks today I'm just happy I've passed the point of my last mc.

I'm also very bloated! Been having a few days of on and off nausea but nothing bad yet.

My OH wants to tell his mum so I've told mine and I'm feeling very emotional at the moment!

Kellz92 · 10/06/2016 11:46

Hey all :)

Thank god its the weekend what are you all up to this weekend? My dad is taking me shopping and for lunch. It has been planned for a while so really looking forward to time with dad and get spoiled. Im still a daddys girl lol. He has taken my sister out loads so wanted to take me out, im just looking forward to time with him more than anything. He spent the last year working in Turkey for 6 weeks on 2 weeks off so really missed him. Glad hes staying home now so he will be here for baby being born :)

Went to the GP today with DH - he sat like a rabbit in headlights and I asked a million questions and don't remember a single answer!! She gave me a due date of 6 Feb but because I OVd late I would put it at 14 Feb...which means I'm only 4+3 - frighteningly little! This is such a difficult time isn't it? So much could go wrong in so many weeks Sad.

Have a lovely dad and daughter day Kellz - I still have those with my Pa, love them! I've got the day off because we're heading down to Cornwall for a belated anniversary weekend. Really, really looking forward to it, but no champagne in the hot tub for me!

Kellz92 · 10/06/2016 12:28

SkyLucy It is a difficult time!!

Thank you i will enjoy it, i cant wait. Enjoy your anniversary weekend :) xx

HighHopes16 · 10/06/2016 13:09

Thanks FriendlyGhost - thankfully I have the whole weekend with no plans to recover :)

Lalalala - What did your mum say? I literally cannot wait to tell mine!!

FriendlyGhost · 10/06/2016 13:17

SkyLucy I'm also 4+3 and due on the 14th Feb! It seems like so long to wait until the risks drop.
Have a lovely day out with your dad Kellz and a lovely anniversary weekend SkyLucy. We have nothing planned at all so I'm hoping I get to have a lie in either tomorrow or Sunday. That is all I want!
How's little wispa doing now wispa?

Sienna9522 · 10/06/2016 15:19

Hay fever is really affecting me this year Sad so far, all the brands of anti histamines I've come across are not safe to take in pregnancy. Going to have to speak to my GP and see what options there are before I go insane, or drive everyone else insane with my sniffling and sneezing haha.

Lalalala2015 · 10/06/2016 15:21

I'm so tired I've done nothing but already had a nap today!

High she said "oh, well that's good, isn't it?" I think she's being careful because when I mc last time she said "well maybe you weren't really pregnant" Hmm

Lalalala2015 · 10/06/2016 15:22

Sienna I suffer with hayfever too. I haven't gotten anything yet but last time my gp prescribed me a nasal spray.

Kellz92 · 10/06/2016 15:33

Friendly Enjoy your weekend, sounds fab! i want a long lie next weekend as its my birthday haha

High She will maybe be more excited once its safe! Like you said. But of course you were pregnant xx

wispaxmas · 10/06/2016 15:51

sienna and lala, there was a thread recently in the pregnancy section abut hay fever and I was commenting on there to say that ANY first generation antihistamine IS most definitely safe during pregnancy. EPU told me to keep taking piriton when I was there on Wednesday, too. They brought it up as I put 'hay fever only' on the sheet where it asked if I had any allergies. If you want some research to back it up, just search 'motherisk antihistamines' and you'll get the motherisk page on it. It's from the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada, which is a world class hospital and the Motherisk section is all about safety during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Great resource. Also, the NHS website says which antihistamines are safe. The first gen ones have been around for so long that they have been found to be safe - you can't have actual studies on pregnant women to trial them, but they've been used extensively throughout the years.

wispaxmas · 10/06/2016 15:52

Also, meant to add: most GPs and midwives will tell you nothing is safe. It's simply not true. I ended up in A&E last time with an asthma attack because hay fever is my main trigger and the consultant I saw basically called my midwife an idiot for telling me to not take piriton!

wispaxmas · 10/06/2016 15:54

As for my weekend, it's DD's 2nd birthday today and I'm already dead knackered. Cupcakes are currently in the oven. Party is Tomorrow, but luckily it' shuts a handful of friends and their toddlers and my ILs coming. Plus, it's a morning thing, so I am just providing croissants and fruit and coffee and tea as far as food and drink go. I plan to sleep all of Sunday away.

Oh, and tomorrow we get to pick Wispa up from the vets - her surgery apparently went very well today!

Readytosettle · 10/06/2016 15:57

Just got my hospital scan date through- 20th July (I'll be 12+2). Annoyingly it also said in the letter that they do private scans for £60 so I should've prob booked my early scan there instead of the £95 one that I've already put a deposit on! Still exciting to have a date in the diary :-).

I'm doing a reading at a friends wedding this weekend. 2 main fears: 1. Feeling like I want to peuk & 2. DS running up/shouting whilst I'm trying to read...hope it's all over v.quickly!

SpinALittleFaster · 10/06/2016 16:08

Those of you who've had previous sections, are you getting pain around your scar? I've had stretching type pains but every so often it's really uncomfortable just on the scar.

auberginefrog · 10/06/2016 16:17

Hello all can I also tentatively join? Had a BFP today but have had some light bleeding a week ago but had this last time for the first 3 months so hoping it's not a MC...

Sienna9522 · 10/06/2016 16:26

Wispa, thanks. That is extremely good to know. I was beginning to dread the thought of getting through summer. Sometimes it gets that bad, I can't go out of the house. I get heat rash sometimes as well and anti histamines are a huge help

CinderellaFant · 10/06/2016 16:40

Just back from the GP, what was meant to be my booking appointment. Because I had a miscarriage a month ago, and no period between it and this pregnancy I've had to get blood taken today, then come back next Friday to get more bloods taken then wait for the results to make sure the hcg levels are rising. Then I can make an appointment to get booked in. Confused

CinderellaFant · 10/06/2016 16:55

Oh- any my blood pressure is high already Sad

FriendlyGhost · 10/06/2016 17:09

Hello aubergine Smile It could have been implantation bleeding if it was a week ago.
Spin I had a previous c-section but I haven't had any pain so far. It's still very early days for me though. How long ago did you have yours?

wispaxmas · 10/06/2016 17:43

ready, that's my scan date, too! Next time I update the list I think I'll add scan dates if people have them, so if you have them, post the date! I paid about £95 last time for a private scan, because I stupidly booked at a place on Harley Street in London instead of looking outside London. This time I found a place barely outside the m25 that's £60!

Welcome, aubergine! What's your EDD? Is this your first DC?
