Looks like I am the first one due 1st Feb but I tested very early as I felt weird and pregnant!

This is baby no 3 I have two DDs who are 2 and 3.

I have a naive question...apologies in advance ! I'm struggling to work out my due date because I'm not sure when to calculate from...I had a monster period last month (sorry if TMI!) - had what I would call spotting for four days before all hell let loose...so should I count from first spotting day, or first 'full flow' day?

If it's the former, that would put me at 5+4 (rather than 5) - all a bit worrying because the lines on my tests are SO faint, and CB digi is only showing 1-2 weeks. I do think I ovulated super late though......argh.

Any words of wisdom gratefully received! Smile

ScottishSnowflake · 08/06/2016 14:37

Hi Sky, my lines are very faint too regardless of when I test. I'm 4+5 so hoping faint lines aren't a bad thing. My CB also says 1-2. I should stop worrying but I can't.

Masweetpea1 · 08/06/2016 14:52

skylucy, my friend had similar with her last baby and determining the date, her gp said to calculate her period from the first day of any blood, so for you I'd say it was the first day of the spotting. x

clementineclouds · 08/06/2016 14:54

wispa great news about your scan.

kellz sorry you are feeling so crappy, hope the doc can help.

fenella welcome and congratulations...and your not the only one, I either keep writing down or saying stuff about the pregnancy and baby...but it just doesn't feel real yet...kinda like an out of body experience.

anyone else noticed their appetite has increased? I'm finding I'm hungry all the time...need to stop stuffing my face, otherwise I'll end up being the size of a house. Hmm

wispaxmas · 08/06/2016 15:19

Sky, I think I would go from first day of full flow. Especially as you think you ovulated late. I would go with whichever date is closer to 2 weeks before ovulation.

wispaxmas · 08/06/2016 15:20

highhopes, my scan today wasn't a reassurance scan really, but I do have one booked for the 22nd. I was considering cancelling it now, but my H is keen for me to keep it as he seems far more worried about this pregnancy now than I am!

wispaxmas · 08/06/2016 15:20

Err, I meant to say it's private and I'm paying £60 for it!

clementineclouds · 08/06/2016 15:20

sky I'd use your first cd as your first day of full flow (thats how I'd always been told to calculate cd1).

clementineclouds · 08/06/2016 15:22

I've got a reassurance scan booked in for when I'll be 6+3...I'm starting to worry that it will be too early to see a heartbeat (as I've read at this early stage, its not guaranteed they will pick up a heartbeat)...and I'm wondering whether to delay it by a few weeks, rather than worry unnecessarily if they don't pick one up.

any thoughts?

PhoebeGeebee · 08/06/2016 15:31

clementine I can only say what I did, which was book it for when I would be 8 weeks as I can't be sure when I OV'd (could be five days difference) so wanted to make sure I could definitely, definitely see something. I'd say 5 weeks is early but 6+3 you should be fine. They can also do an internal scan if they don't pick anything up on the handheld.

SBSparkles · 08/06/2016 15:43

Hi everyone! Sorry for the long silence - been on a little Jolliday to Derbyshire (where I'm from) how is everyone? I'm bloody knackered! Have to have a lie down after I do something! Thanks wispa for the list - I actually got my dates wrong to start with (ivf dares are different) so think I'm due early Feb - hopefully if all is well at scan next week they'll tell me! Xx

SBSparkles · 08/06/2016 15:48

Phoebe I'm not feeling sick either and wishing for it too! I also get slight icky feelings from time to time but not sure if it's in my head! I'm 5 weeks 4 days now so maybe too soon. Wispa how wonderful for you to have seen the heartbeat! That must be so reassuring for you! X

SBSparkles · 08/06/2016 15:49

Clementine my scan is 6+5 and that's what my clinic recommend so hopefully you'll be ok and see something x

Kellz92 · 08/06/2016 15:50

Thanks ladies after waiting all day i finally got to speak to the GP, he was concerned and has put a prescription to the reception for me to collect tonight. He said if they help phone him and they will prescribe more, if the dont phone and he will give me a different type.
Glad hes nicer than the receptionists there.

Wispa Glad the scan went well honey

Phoebe My GP said that not getting sickness is very common, just as common as sickness, try not worry,

HighHopes Im paying for my reassurance, costing me £39 and its on 2nd July when im 8w6d

SkyLucy Class it from your first full flow day. My lines still arent the same as control on an IC and im 5w3d, and i just got my 2-3 on CB today.

Clementine I had to book in for after 8 weeks as the clinic doesnt do earlier or i would have booked in for 6 weeks lol

SBSparkles Hope you had a nice time away :) I have rotted sickness, im trying not to complain as its worth it since been trying for 12 months but im struggling!!

xx

Hazandduck · 08/06/2016 16:25

Clementine I hope you feel better soon, your name is on our baby list 💗 It's so pretty :)

GinIsIn · 08/06/2016 16:40

Clementine - me! I am STARVING! I don't normally have a big appetite and never normally eat breakfast but I am hungry all the time at the mo!

Sky - absolutely don't worry. My test lines were quite faint and CB saying 1-2 as well. The only reason I know I'm 5 weeks is because I was using an app to track, and it works it all out for you! Smile

SBSparkles · 08/06/2016 16:57

Do any of you have symptoms that come and go? I know I've asked before about boobs...sometimes I forget I'm pregnant and wonder if it's disappeared! But my boobs do look totally different (sorry tmi!!!) but no full feeling anymore or cramps. Just tired! X

SBSparkles · 08/06/2016 16:58

I was also starving last week and couldn't stop eating beef!!! Haha! Think this heat is killing my appetite this week!

clementineclouds · 08/06/2016 17:13

sparkles yes, they seem to come and go...sometimes odd feeling in lower stomach, but that comes and goes (more of a sensation that a pain)...and boobs are sore, have been for a while...but sometimes they are not.

I am forever poking and prodding myself...I must look very odd...people will start to talk Smile

Masweetpea1 · 08/06/2016 17:13

Yes my symptoms are coming and going, so much so i bought another test yesterday and took it..... Just to be sure!! Today though my nausea is back in full swing x

ScottishSnowflake · 08/06/2016 17:25

How do you book a reassurance scan please? It sounds like something I'd like.

SBSparkles · 08/06/2016 17:39

Haha! Clementine that made me laugh. This is how it goes with me: 'oh I don't think my boobs a hurt as much anymore' so I give them a big squeeze or poke then 'owwww! Ok they do!' Grin

SkyLucy · 08/06/2016 17:43

Thanks so much for the info - I think I'll count it from the first full flow day - otherwise there'd be over 3 weeks between CD1 and ovulation day.

Reassuring to hear you've had a similar experience with faint lines Fenella. I know that everyone's bodies are different and HCG levels rise at various rates (and that Clearblue has quite wide ranges for each level)...I'm just a bit terrified that my little embryo is fading away!! Sad

Sparkles - yes, I have intermittent nausea which is an absolute joy! Early days too - god knows how bad it's going to get. I read it's worse for people who suffer with travel sickness...I can't even manage a garden swing!! Clementine - I instinctively grabbed my boob on the train this morning when it twinged. Must've looked bizarre! (Or kinky..?!)

wispaxmas · 08/06/2016 17:44

My boobs do't hurt at all.. But they didn't last time, either..

Readytosettle · 08/06/2016 18:23

I've booked a private scan for 8+6 as I wanted to wait til the miscarriage probabilities had dropped right down. Symptoms definitely come & go- mainly linked to how tired/hungry I am. Had some terrible abdominal pains last week (like bad period pain) but that passed fairly quickly.
