Looks like I am the first one due 1st Feb but I tested very early as I felt weird and pregnant!

This is baby no 3 I have two DDs who are 2 and 3.

jojo I've been quite bungled up for the last few days too with an annoying cough, not sure if it's related or just a cold.

friendlyghost I'm getting nausea on and off but it's fine once I eat something. It's usually worse midmorning before I have lunch, then I'm fine. Before I tested I actually had a few times when I felt really sick before meals which made me wonder!

SpinALittleFaster · 06/06/2016 20:49

I hope all is ok for those of you with spotting. I had a scan at 6 weeks last time as that's the earliest my EPU would see anyone. They actually managed an abdominal scan and saw a heartbeat at that stage.

I had an ELCS with DD and have no idea whether I'd prefer another or VBAC. I don't like the idea of not being able to do much for DD for weeks. Last time it was 5 weeks before I felt comfortable driving. The section was awful too and I was barely conscious for most of it because my blood pressure plummeted. I don't know if I want to repeat that experience.

gumbootsandjandals · 06/06/2016 21:50

I had an emergency section with my DD. When pg with DS I was told they presumed vbac unless I was certain I wanted a rcs. I was up for a vbac unless I went overdue (didn't want to be induced again and risk another emcs). Anyway, I went into labour on my due date and DS was born via forceps the next day. I did sustain a tiny tear to a blood vessel from the forceps though, and lost 2L of blood, so I'm not sure what route I'll go this time. Probably vbac again as 2nd vbacs have a 90% success rate. Well see. I wonder if I'll have to see a consultant due to my experience last time.

Lucy1308 · 06/06/2016 22:36

Sorry to digress from the C Section talk, however... I have s ridiculous quantity of creamy CM. Normal right?

wispaxmas · 06/06/2016 22:59

Not sure, Lucy, I think there's a wide variation of what's normal right now. I try to pay as little attention to CM as possible, unless it's unmistakable EWCM mid cycle and even then I'm all like, 'eww.' I'm sure it's fine, though!

HighSparrow · 06/06/2016 23:06

Can I tentatively join? Squinter seen on IC's..don't want to get too excited..EDD would be mid-Feb!

Dutchy88 · 07/06/2016 06:36

So brown spotting has turned to red, I'm not holding out much help.

ThreeLittleDucks99 · 07/06/2016 07:40

Morning, can I join too? Positive this morning and based on dates I would be approx mid feb too. Very daunting as my DD is only 6 months! Am in the same boat as a few of you in that had an emergency section last time and want to push for an elective this time so am interested to see the responses you get. Haven't read the whole thread by any means so will try to catch up!

Readytosettle · 07/06/2016 07:45

Aw Dutchy, how many weeks are you? Can you get the EPU to check you out? I believe even red blood can be OK.

Jojoclaire · 07/06/2016 08:32

dutchy stay strong, I'm sorry you're not feeling confident. The EPU will be able to help you out, if you can get there, one way or the other Flowers

ThreeLittleDucks99 · 07/06/2016 08:37

Oh dutchy so sorry just saw your message- didn't mean to be do insensitive. That's always scary - if it's too early for scan could they do a blood tests spaced out? They did that when I had early bleeding.

CinderellaFant · 07/06/2016 08:51

Dutchy I hope all is ok. Cake

wispaxmas · 07/06/2016 09:21

Dutchy, my spotting is pink/red and was never brown, but my GP didn't seem overly concerned when I spoke to her yesterday. Still going to be seen, though, and will ask about being referred to the EPU as I'm still spotting this morning.

twocatsandatoddler · 07/06/2016 09:22

Sorry to hear that Dutchy. It might well be ok - I know people who had quite a lot of bleeding and all was fine, so it doesn't always mean the worst, but it must be worrying. Can the doctor / EPU do anything to reassure you? Sterkte Flowers

FriendlyGhost · 07/06/2016 09:31

Fingers crossed for you Dutchy. I hope it turns out ok. Some bleeding can be normal in pregnancy and I know several people who have had bleeding and gone on to have healthy babies. Flowers

HighHopes16 · 07/06/2016 09:38

Sending hugs to you Dutchy Flowers

Dutchy88 · 07/06/2016 10:09

Gp said there's not much they can do as I'm only 4 1/2 weeks so if it's still going on in a couple of weeks they'll send me for a scan. Bleeding has turned into very much like my period now. But you never know.

PhoebeGeebee · 07/06/2016 10:15

It's such a stressful time isn't it? Fingers crossed for you Dutchy, from what I have read online (and trust me, it's extensive) a lot of people bleed in their first trimester and go on to have a perfectly healthy pregnancy.

Another whinge here (yesterdays was the fact that I just can't concentrate on anything!) Todays is that my DH just does not get where my head is right now. I'm the kind of person who has to prepare themselves for the worst so I'm being very pragmatic about our 8 week scan next week. I have almost no symptoms (apart from achy boobs and shocking flatulence) and have to acknowledge that a lot of pregnancies end in these first few weeks. He's making me feel like my lack of positive thinking is somehow going to harm the baby. He doesn't understand this is self-preservation. If I don't prepare myself, it's going to hurt all the more if something does go wrong.

Am I being crazy?

clementineclouds · 07/06/2016 10:49

phoebe I do the same as you, mentally prepare for the worst, but at the same time try to stay positive...easier said than done, I know. do what you need to do, to stay mentally strong.

duchy sorry to hear things aren't looking good for you...keeping everything crossed.

threelittleducks & highsparrow think we are all newbies. Smile

so I'm 6 weeks today, get sickness on and off every day, boobs have been sore for weeks now, and today I finally gave in and am wearing a none wired bra, and its bliss...so comfortable.

have an early reassurance scan booked in for later this week...excited and scared in equal measure I think.

how's everyone else today?

RubyMurray38 · 07/06/2016 11:07

Found out on Friday that we're expecting our first. for some reason I'm not feeling like i can let myself believe it yet?? Husband is over the moon though!! Looks like I'm due around 12th Feb!!

wispaxmas · 07/06/2016 11:09

I've been referred to EPU for a scan- my GP fudged my LMP date by a day to make me 6 weeks so she could refer, otherwise I'd have had to go back tomorrow.

Just waiting for them to call me with a scan appt. I'm feeling remarkably positive at the moment, I think everything is ok and I'm a bit excited at the prospect of potentially seeing a heartbeat this early. I'm having to try to talk myself down a bit just in case it's bad news, though!

Kellz92 · 07/06/2016 11:14

Morning Ladies, how are you all feeling today? Finally getting decent lines on my ICs was really worried for a while, despite having lots of positive digis, however, i have finally started to believe im not having another chemical as the lines are getting darker!

Faint pic was wednesday and darker pic was yesterday :)

fingers crossed for you dutchy

i would have freaked out at the red blood as I originally though any blood in pregnancy was bad but in all I've read recently, that isn't necessarily the case!

I'm with you all on trying to be positive but it not being easy. I had a mc last year so this is my 2nd pregnancy - v v happy and excited but also cautious at the same time. Hard when no real symptoms yet (other than gas and bloating like a few of you have mentioned.

positive vibes for us all.
