Looks like I am the first one due 1st Feb but I tested very early as I felt weird and pregnant!

This is baby no 3 I have two DDs who are 2 and 3.

I'm completely paranoid about mc at the moment. I didn't have one when I was trying for DS so feel like I can't possibly just get pregnant again & not have any complications. So hard to relax, just constantly googling :-(

SBSparkles · 31/05/2016 07:33

Google is the enemy!! I am the same! Every time I go to the loo I worry I'll see something! I'll be happier when I have the first scan and hopefully see the heartbeat. I'm also worried I don't feel sick yet but it may be a wee bit early! It seems as mothers we are just programmed to worry! Haha! Xx

Readytosettle · 31/05/2016 08:21

I do feel sick (that was my first symptom!) but it comes & goes in waves so whenever I'm not feeling sick I start doubting myself. I'm getting the pulling/stretching feelings in my womb & I've been falling asleep on the sofa early every eve (without any booze) so it all seems to be happening as it did last time. Just need to try and forget about it for a few weeks until I can get a scan done.

twocatsandatoddler · 31/05/2016 08:22

ready, statistically not having had a mc before has no bearing on the chances you'll have one this time. If anything, I would imagine having had a healthy pregnancy before would make it less likely as the statistics are averaged over the entire population, which would include some people with a history of issues. If you look at it from the other perspective, the chances of everything being ok are at least twice as high than the chances of mc, and probably much higher, depending on the statistics you use.

sparkles I think about 20%-30% of women don't get any nausea or sickness at all (my DM boasts about how she never had any nausea with any of her three pregnancies) so you might just be one of the lucky ones! I've been getting the occasional wave of nausea this weekend, last time I found it kicked in properly around 6-7 weeks and peaked at about 10 weeks, but thankfully I didn't suffer too badly and was not actually sick so I'm hoping it'll be similar or better this time.

McBaby · 31/05/2016 08:46

Feeling the same as some of you that something will go wrong I have had two pregnancies resulting in two DDs so how can I be lucky enough for a third, it's really freaking me out at the moment.

I didn't have a hint of nausea last time! Totally fine and normal. Already getting waves of queasiness now and I'm just 5 weeks tomorrow!

Kellz92 · 31/05/2016 09:16

Ready, I'm with you, I keep panicking. But I'm sure we will be fine. Google is the worst!
SB - I'll relax after my scan too!
McBaby - you'll be fine hun
Wispa - I already have sickness just like last time :( xx

Did a digi this am :) think I'm starting to believe it now

I'm queen of freak out right now, indicated by the thread I've just started on Pregnancy to get some reassurance on early bleeding/spotting.

It's still happening, but literally once a day, one wipe, a few bright red spots then nothing at all. I've contacted OOH's and EPU, both say just to wait and see how it goes. This is fucking torture.

How the HELL do people get through the first three months???

Kellz92 · 31/05/2016 11:56

Phoebe, easier said than done but try chill out :) Stressing will make it worse. I know someone who had that and the baby was fine :)

The first 3 months are hellish lol i remember that from last time!! xx

CinderellaFant · 31/05/2016 12:20

Last week it said 1-2 this week it says 2-3 so I'm taking that as a good sign!

Thanks for all the support. Nice to know everyone's feeling the same I guess. Just rang the dr to get a booking in appointment & apparently I have to see the GP first...so my first 'I'm preggers' appointment is on Friday morning! That should make it feel a bit more real.

Kellz92 · 31/05/2016 13:34

Cinderella Im away to do one this week then one next week to see if im progressing, it will put my mind at ease. How far gone are you now?

Ready i hope that helps you hun, my GP surgery said that the GP doesnt need to see me first so i have another month to wait :(

xx

Blueskies80 · 31/05/2016 14:46

Phoebe the first trimester can be stressful but just think one day at a time.
I had big bleeds -sudden gushes and heavier than a period with my first and she was fine... It's super hard but try to relax if you can and get in touch with your epu xx

BoomKapow · 31/05/2016 15:18

Hi, can I join you please?? I'm 32 and got a BFP on Friday. EDD is 4th Feb. We had been ttc for 18 months and I had just started the ball rolling with tests so I'd just got my day 21 bloods back last Monday!

I'm trying so hard not to get too excited cause I've read loads of sad storeys but.... I'm sat at work day dreaming and making a secret Pinterest board. So I'm failing massively in trying to rein in my excitement!

wispaxmas · 31/05/2016 15:59

I am only getting through it my booking an early private scan!!

Readytosettle · 31/05/2016 16:08

I'll be doing that as soon as I hit 6 weeks Wispa.....need to put down a deposit for mine so figured I should wait a little longer!

wispaxmas · 31/05/2016 16:20

I've just booked mine for 22 June, my third wedding anniversary!

sleepylil · 31/05/2016 16:22

Congratulations boomkapow! :)

CinderellaFant · 31/05/2016 17:09

Kelz I'll be 5 weeks tomorrow!

Last week I was so tired, no energy at all however this week I seem to be ok. My boobs are still really painful though!

BoomKapow · 31/05/2016 17:17

Thanks sleepylil! Sounds like you had a pretty emotional journey to your first pregnancy. Are you feeling well so far with this one? I'm pretty knackered and a little queasy but nothing major at the mo but it's still so early. Mostly I'm just useless at my job cause I can't focus!

twocatsandatoddler · 31/05/2016 18:05

Congrats and welcome boomkapow!

wispa it's my 3rd anniversary on the 29th!
It does mean that so far two out of our three anniversaries I haven't been able to have a drink to celebrate though!

I've been toying with booking an early scan but think I've decided against it, just can't justify the cost at the moment given that even if I have a healthy scan at 8ish weeks there's no guarantee I won't still miscarry between then and the dating scan. Think I'm just going to hold out for the NHS one.

I'm finding I'm so busy at the moment that I keep forgetting I'm even pregnant which is a great distraction from worrying! DH had to remind me I was pregnant at the weekend when I was about to tuck into paté and unpasteurised Brie without thinking!

SBSparkles · 31/05/2016 18:16

Cinderella that's exactly how I feel! Last week super tired but not as bad this week. My boobs hurt so much in the night, getting up and out of bed (for one of my many nightly toilet trips) is the worst! Might have to start sleeping in a bra! Just had a hint of nausea - so funny that I'm looking forward to it! Being an IVFer we get scanned early as part of the treatment. I think it's so the clinic can hand us over to the 'normal' hospital x

dippypanda · 31/05/2016 18:24

Hi, can I join too Flowers

I'm due potentially between 30 Jan - 1 Feb with #2 but I'm probably better in this group as I was over two weeks late with my first! I'm currently 5w3d at the moment, symptoms come and go but mostly shattered all the time. Congrats to everyone recently getting their BFPs Smilex

wispaxmas · 31/05/2016 18:48

Twocats, I know what that's like! Our first anniversary we had a 12 day old colic-monster and ended up celebrating an 'unniversary' 6 months later!!!

Readytosettle · 31/05/2016 19:38

How's the heart rate going Wispa? Mine seems to be on the climb again....
