mindful not too sure about the iron interaction but don't most raspberry leaf tea have a fairly high iron content?

Saw the consultant again today, definitely being induced by 38 weeks, so on or before 14th june as long as everything goes well, and I might not have to stay in for 5 days afterwards ( fingers crossed )

Whilst I was there some lady was asking for a c-section at 36 weeks as she had a holiday booked for 2 weeks after her due date, so if any of you lot were asking to have a c section at the end of may in a certain seaside city purely for social reasons, shame on you (the walls are really thin in the consultation rooms) Confused

laughingGnomette · 03/05/2016 16:27

insideout that is shocking!!! ShockShock and at 36 weeks (pre term)?!!

insideout · 03/05/2016 16:55

I know, I just keep thinking how tiny my dd was (almost 5lb) at 36 weeks and how worried we were. Sad

AmIseeingRight · 03/05/2016 17:31

oh wow, crazy people in this world Shock - I'm 36 week now and cant imagine wanting my baby yet. Im hoping to get at least another 2 weeks.

booked83 · 03/05/2016 17:31

*insideout really? She was asking because of a holiday?! Oh dear!

Well I've made it home they didn't keep me this time... Lol my new c section date is the 31st of May though.... Due to my blood pressure problems and the amount of tablets I'm on... They don't want to give me any more but said I have to have iron tablets 3 times a day now! Confused so 28 days and the count down starts

nehagarg · 03/05/2016 17:31

Great stuff laughing. Life is much easier with a plan. Smile

insideout thats shocking!! And to think I am worried about my one's health at being induced at 37 weeks. I really hope that woman was an ignoramus, not selfish. Though that really is no excuse.

Hi ladies! Sorry been quiet moved house at the weekend. Wheres the fb group please I would like to join?

MollieRos · 03/05/2016 17:41

Wow insideout that's crazy! I'd've loved to see the consultant's face when she asked for that!

Glad the measurements were good strawberry, and I hope the wait isn't too hard. Fingers crossed you get good news at your next scan.

laughing that sounds ideal! I'm really glad their plan matches up with yours. One less thing for you to have to worry about.

Dolly I'm definitely not as good at coping with things at the moment. Nearly had a meltdown yesterday as I couldn't find the polyfiller, and today I'm feeling a bit tearful because the paint we'd picked out looks really different now it's actually on half the walls in the house. Lucky for me I have a lovely DH who's always super calm, so he helps me keep on an even keel. I'm now just trying to stop myself obsessively going back to stare morosely at the walls and dwell on how much it doesn't look like like how I imagined!

dollydaydream84 · 03/05/2016 17:41

Good luck to her having a c-section at 36 weeks then going on holiday! I was fit for nothing for weeks. I'm sure not everyone recovers so slowly but how could you possibly know?!

laughing and inside - looks like you both have plans. Good news!

booked - wow 28 days! how many weeks will you be then?

Glad I'm not the only weeper/person unable to cope with lifes minor issues at the moment! :D

How are some of you 36 weeks? That sounds so pregnant and close to term, madness! I'm only just 32 weeks which is basically the start of the third trimester (trying to convince myself!!)

nehagarg · 03/05/2016 17:45

Easy dolly. I am actually cheating. My original due date was 2nd June but when 12 week scan put me at 30th May, I hung around instead of taking myself to the may thread. Grin 36+1 today.

booked83 · 03/05/2016 17:54

*dolly that will take me to 38 weeks two weeks early though not worried about weight as growth scan yesterday said he was already 5lb 09oz

bikingintherain · 03/05/2016 18:23

So I managed to get to have all the scans etc today, I wasn't sure whether I'm just in a good health care system, or if they were really worried. I'm thinking it was somewhere between.

Anyway the baby turned head down over night which apparently means that the measurements today are more accurate, and they put the baby at a little bit bigger. And they tested to check the umbilical chord is working properly which it is.

So in conclusion we're expecting a smaller than normal baby ( especially compared to previous two huge nearly ten pound babies) but everything is looking ok. And I'm back to the midwife led care, which means I can have gas and air for the delivery. Hurrah!

rew0077 · 03/05/2016 18:47

Hello - new (and hopefully) last thread! How exciting.
I'm definitely not coping with anything even slightly stressful. Normally good at balancing lots of things at work and home - now I get overwhelmed really easily. Very annoying as I've got 3.5 weeks of full-time work left!!
Reflux has also increased massively this week - very annoying!

GrubbyWindows · 03/05/2016 18:48

Yay biking fab news!!!!

booked83 · 03/05/2016 18:50

*biking that's fab news!

MollieRos · 03/05/2016 19:54

Brilliant news biking Smile

dolly like nehagarg I'm also cheating- I was given a due date for 3rd June originally but then it got moved forward to 31st of May. I dithered between this board and the May board but in the end there seemed to be more people on this one that were due around the same time as me so I stayed on here.

(and my mind is fully blown that I'm 36 weeks pregnant... how on earth did that happen?!!) Shock

strawberrypenguin · 03/05/2016 20:01

Yay biking that's great news!

Torfhinn · 03/05/2016 20:45

Great news biking Smile

MadrigalElectromotive · 03/05/2016 21:18

Terrific news biking!

AmIseeingRight · 03/05/2016 21:26

biking glad that the news today was good and must have put your mind at rest dolly i was also due on 2nd June before being moved to 31st May @ 12 wks scan so never bothered to change as 1st babies are normally late anyways i've heard.

AmIseeingRight · 03/05/2016 21:26

MadrigalElectromotive · 03/05/2016 21:37

I was also due at the beginning of June and then was moved to the 30th May when I had my 12 week scan, but I liked this board so stuck with you guys instead! Smile

dollydaydream84 · 03/05/2016 21:53

Right that's it, you are all officially cheats Grin I almost joined the July thread despite being due last week in June but didn't like being so far ahead near the beginning.

Ok I'll relax now then. I was so convinced DD1 was going to be late I never considered early inductions or anything like that. She arrived 41+6! This time they've talked about 37 week sweeps and 39 week ELCS which sounds very soon! Definitely edging towards the ELCS. 3 weeks until our growth scan to help decide

MadrigalElectromotive · 03/05/2016 22:10

Sorry dolly! Grin

I was sure if go into June anyway but now I'm having an ELCS on the 18th May, she is very much a may baby after all!

wigelspigels · 03/05/2016 22:40

Book marking, thank you 😊Grin
