Wow this post moves fast!!

💐 Flowers to Bertie, Cho & anyone else experiencing losses.

Re-intro to me: 37 and 8+4, 1 DS aged 8, 2 DSS aged 8 & 5. It's been a busy few weeks here - got my bfp on Good Friday, got engaged on Easter Saturday (DP had been planning it for months) and then sold our house the following week. Hope to move in June but need lots of rennovation work on our new home - poor builder will have a visible reminder of his deadline lol!

My DS was born in Bangkok where I lived with my ex-h so I've next to no experience of NHS maternity services. Live in Essex, already chosen Broomfield Hospital.

Lucky I don't have a commute - work 5 mins from home and have a very supportive employer. My manager already knows because I do event work and got a booking for Nov when I hope to be on Mat leave Hmm.

Exhaustion central here, some intermittent nausea but no actual sickness. Also convinced that even though I can still do up my trousers I'm already showing slightly as my stomach muscles never recovered from my EMCS last time - no idea how I'll hide it until my scan on 23 May after which we'll tell family and wider colleagues (select group of friends already know).

flyawayblue · 25/04/2016 21:39

Wow this thread moves quite, just marking my place so I can find you all again.

lilydaisyrose · 25/04/2016 22:40

becciandbump
Anyone else absolutely pooped today? Ive only just found the energy to move from the sofa to start cooking dinner xx

Yes definitely - see my post from today around 5pm! Make the most of not having any kids - mine were clamouring for their tea when this crap Mummy eventually pit it on the table around 6pm!!

My boobs are killing me today. They've been tender since BFP but are like rocks today and so big and heavy. I feel like I've got 2 cannons strapped to my chest.

babyinthacorner · 25/04/2016 22:54

Sending all my love Cho - I'm so sorry Thanks

Waves to swancourt - I grew up in HW! Know that area very well Grin

firawla please don't say Watford are not doing 12 week scans now?! Why wouldn't they??? That's all I'm holding out for! Did think it strange that they didn't give me a date for one - I've just got a date for my booking in appt. i think DH will agree to a private one if they don't though. I hope anyway!

Can't believe how many Herts people there are! Small world!

Waves back at babyinthecorner! We live in Prestwood :)

SpaceDinosaur · 25/04/2016 23:11

mejse what about Lana from Archer?!!
Or the new Spiderwoman?

I'm sure Watford are doing 12 week scans. My friend had her PFB very recently and because of the enormous strain Watford Maternity is under because all the maternity departments have been closed she was sent to a private company in Watford for her 12 week scan (7 months ago) and the NHS footed the bill.

rider1975 · 25/04/2016 23:47

Hannah - I've been offered West Middlesex and St Peters in Chertsey. I dealt with Middlesex when I had my MMC in 2014 and thought they were very good - thorough and sympathetic. I'll do some proper research though first.
Just back to UK today and received letter from my 5 weeks trans-vaginal scan from EPU. It states gestational sac size was 6.3 mm and yolk sac at 2 mm. On my MMC the yoke sac was under-developed and I've been googling like a maniac and think these sizes were spot on for 5+1 weeks.
Have my 7+1 scan tomorrow. Glad that bf is here with me (still lives in Norway); he's been so positive from day 1 despite first MMC.
Fingers and toes crossed for all sizes to be right and a strong hb. I've been mentally preparing for this one. Hoping, hoping, hoping ...

firawla · 26/04/2016 00:28

spacedinosaur oh that is good to know! Thanks!

Sunnydays321 · 26/04/2016 04:01

Oh the insomnia 😞 awake at this time pretty much every night since bfp. Anyone else suffering? X

Anewleaf · 26/04/2016 04:21

Me! Just a weird nauseous feeling no vomming. Now I can't get back to sleep. Horrible taste in the mouth too. hugs!

PlumpAndPlain · 26/04/2016 04:28

Hi all - can I join? Current EDD is 23 Dec with dc3. Nausea and insomnia hitting hard here hence the time!

Anewleaf · 26/04/2016 04:38

Welcome plump! is it just the nauseous feeling you have? This sucks can't remember this with dd1 so early on!

PlumpAndPlain · 26/04/2016 05:07

Just nausea and only the last 24 hours - similar to previous pregnancy. I'm expecting the bone aching tiredness to hit in the next week or so where I'm falling to sleep at 4 in the afternoon!

barkingtreefrog · 26/04/2016 06:07

I !managed to sleep through until 4.30 this morning Shock.
It's absolutely killing me, I feel like a zombie all day and then want to go to bed as soon as I get home from work. Getting very impatient with people at work and struggling to concentrate. Also got nausea most of the time, I'm eating everything to try and keep it off.
I wanted to continue exercising but I just don't have the energy. Feel like absolute crap all the time!

weechops · 26/04/2016 06:21

I'm so sorry cho Flowers

I'm also a walking zombie these days! Seem to be ok til after school run at 3pm then I just sort of fizzle out 😬 Not helpful when there's 2 lots of homework to help with, dinner to cook and crazy energetic toddler to entertain! My 9 year old is a total star though and plays with him for me so I can get sorted. 12 more weeks til dh is home I think 😫

Helbelle75 · 26/04/2016 07:09

Another one awake at 4 here. I managed a snack and have slept fitfully since about 5. But the dreams! Goodness, so weird and real. Not too taxing a day at work today though so hopefully will be ok.

Sunnydays321 · 26/04/2016 07:35

Sorry others are suffering with insomnia too, 'twas nice to know I wasn't alone at 4 am tho. I feel hungry and then sick once I'm awake so that stops me getting back to sleep, but managed to doze between 6.30-7.30. I actually don't feel to tired on it which is odd as I'm normally someone who is tired all the time. Think work is so busy it just keeps me going. Fingers crossed no work vomming today. Have a good day everyone x

fiddlesticks123 · 26/04/2016 07:38

Well done KitKat on a new thread, I can't believe how many of us there are! Does this constitute a baby boom?!! Poor Santa, he'll be extra busy this year!

I'm 8+5 today with my booking appt on Thursday, first baby for me and DH. Nausea and sadly vomiting too have come my way, finding it awful at the moment as I travel a lot with work. Based in Yorkshire but have to drive to Leicester, London and Surrey then home again in the next 48hrs so not overly enthusiastic about work right now. Took a last minute working from home day yesterday when I got in the car and realised driving any decent distance was a silly idea!

Big HI especially to the Yorkshire/Lincolnshire ladies, I'm in South Yorkshire so will be giving birth either at Doncaster or Scunthorpe.

Feefeefs · 26/04/2016 08:05

The nausea is bad this morning ConfusedSad was off work yesterday back this morning and the nausea has kicked up a few gears. As has the exhaustion!

cnchapmanxx · 26/04/2016 08:26

Becciandbump - aw that's cool Hun are u having yours at the RVI?

I feel a bit of a cheat here as I'm out like a light every night before 10.30 and not awake til after 8/9 every day! I'm shattered and it's even worse at work between 2&5 I'm ready for a lie down! Seeing my midwife Friday I'll be a bit relieved when I do! Xxx

Hannahcarp27 · 26/04/2016 08:38

Rider1975 - My friend is a midwife at St Peters so think I may try for there

I currently had no sickness at all and don't feel sick. Sleeping is little disturbed waking up early but easily getting back to sleep. Don't feel too tired either. Only thing I've really noticed is the size of my Boobs!!! I look like I've had a massive boob job which is great with my going away this week for a beach holiday. Hopefully the bikinis I've bought will fit my boobs in!! Grin

Mejse · 26/04/2016 08:40

I'm feeling pretty miserable today. I have managed to catch quite a nasty cold and that paired with the nausea and fatigue is making me feel very sorry for myself. I was up at 5am too but thankfully I managed to get back to sleep quite fast. I have the day off and was planning to start preparing for my exams but looks like I will be trying to get some rest instead.

MangeTooot · 26/04/2016 10:08

So sorry for those of you who are having bad experiences - take care of yourself Cho Flowers

I have my booking appointment today and I've arranged a private reassurance scan for a couple of weeks time when I will be 8+4. This is my first pregnancy, so I have no previous bad experiences personally but I'm just afraid of finding a MMC at my 12 week scan - I have a complete lack of symptoms currently, which is not reassuring. Also, I'd like to tell close family and friends soonish, but I'd prefer to have a scan before that.

Mejse, I hope you feel better soon - definitely try and get some rest today, that will be better for your exam prep in the long run Flowers

peanutbutter2409 · 26/04/2016 11:07

Having another super queasy day today. There's just no pattern to it at the moment, and it's one of those days where NOTHING is shifting it. Thankfully I'm working from home today but it's not helping me at all with getting on with some work!
