Jealous of the sunny weather posts, I'm up in Scotland too and it's pretty over cast. Driving back home to Liverpool on Tuesday so hopefully weather is better down there!

LisaTheGreek · 08/05/2016 13:53

Hi lovely people!

I've missed you all loads (though have been lurking a bit, and following many of you on Instagram).

I hope everyone is doing well. There have been some lovely bump pictures, and I've adored seeing photos of nurseries, baby clothes, scans, and what you are all buying.

I'm making my way back to normality as sickness has significantly subsided over the last week or so. I still have odd bad days, but the good days are getting much better (no sign of the second trimester glow though, but those of you further along said how bullshit that is ages ago, so I was kind of prepared).

I'm 19 weeks tomorrow (due 3 October), and have my 20-week scan when I'm 21 weeks, so another two weeks to wait.

I just wanted to check in and send my love in the sunshine. I'm going to try and get on here more regularly now I feel better.

Speaking of sickness, Miley, how are you?

Co5mo · 08/05/2016 14:23

The sunny weather is great but we had a horrific thunderstorm yesterday afternoon. Just got the bbq out so I'd expect it to be clouding over any time now. I'm in last year's shorts just not done up so not a look to be down the street in, especially with what look like track marks at my wrists from my hospital trip.

All this exercising and shopping you lot are doing is making me very jealous. I can't walk to the bottom of the garden without getting breathless.

Nevlet · 08/05/2016 14:47

Sorry been away a few days... Lots to catch up on!

We have very warm weather in the south east today about 26 on out decking according to the galileo... Am staying inside in the shade as burnt in the garden for twenty mins on friday through my tights and honestly the heats making me feel even more like a giant slug.

Had all my hair sorted out yesterday. Had all my extensions taken out, my hair cut into an actual style and its ombred instead of blonde. In theory I love it but on such a swollen chunky person i think i look hideous now. Feeling sorry for myself today Sad

LisaTheGreek · 08/05/2016 14:57

Nev, your hair sounds gorgeous!

Ombre is kind of the look I go for (my version is just not bothering to get highlights that regularly, so it graduates from dark blonde roots to golden blonde ends), but I haven't had it cut in a while so the ends are a bit ratty. Keep meaning to get it sorted out.

London/South-East is VERY hot today!

Nevlet · 08/05/2016 15:03

Thanks lisa - good to see you back and feeling better! I know in theory I love it but I have it in my head I look even bigger without long hair...it's strange to get used to!

Danni89 · 08/05/2016 17:34

Hi girls... London is amazing at the mo... 26- just been at the park with OH. But soon noticed a new realisation, I think I'm gonna have cankles for the whole of summer... Joys

Laurenrl · 08/05/2016 17:40

Soo hot in London! Can't cope haha.

I'm inside after a few hours active in the sun, eating bread and Taziki in a dark room and aching. Pregnancy is so fun :)

leoniethelioness · 08/05/2016 18:08

It's hot in Wales too and DH has hayfever so we've had the windows shut all day and barely ventured outside. It's 23 degrees in my shady dining room! We've had the curtains shut to keep the house cool and I'm drinking lots of water.

BunchOfBobs · 08/05/2016 18:23

Hi ladies.
Had a lovely day here. Weather started with rain but the sun came out and it's been 23. In mid Wales that is shocking. Went for a lovely walk with the dog and we've just been treated to quite a show from Pip. Full on baby dancing with some bump ripples. It's getting quite bizarre having my hand on bump and feeling a tiny person moving beneath my hand. So amazing to watch though. I couldn't stop giggling which was annoying as he stops moving when I laugh.

leoniethelioness · 08/05/2016 18:23

Ah, Bunch - I can't wait to feel mine! That's so cute.

PotatosMum · 08/05/2016 18:46

Pink we're both agreed that we want country style cream cabinets with a dark wood counter, white letterbox shaped tiles and a resin sink. I've also convinced OH that we need a range cooker Grin it will be terribly posh but he gets to have a cabin in the garden for band practice and recording so I think I deserve a sexy kitchen Wink

Canters I get so frustrated with clothes, at this point I have about 3 dresses I can wear and that's about it. I've packed all my normal clothes ready for the move and OH is merrily filling up the space that has created with more clothes for him Hmm

Planet fingers crossed you get an offer on Monday!
That surprise wedding story is hysterical Grin

Feefs I shall keep my everything crossed that you have good news at your next scan. It does sound promising though.

Lisa glad the sickness has subsided and all is going well Smile

Co5mo I'm shopping because I have cabin fever but I'm still dosed up on pain killers and I have to come home and have a nap after Blush

Nev you won't be all baby bloated for ever, just keep telling yourself that. I'm an absolute frump at the moment, I look like my mother and feel like I'm dressing in my grandmothers clothes Sad but it's not for long, then we can get back to being the glamorous sexy ladies that we were before (just a bit more sleep deprived and covered in bodily fluids Confused)

It's absolutely roasting in South West , OH and I have had to close all the curtains and hide indoors in our pants I've decided that being 24 weeks pregnant in the summer is not fun.
I can't remember who said this is going to be the hottest summer in 40 years but I honestly hope you're wrong!

ElleSarcasmo · 08/05/2016 18:57

I've been lying around the house, doing as little as possible this weekend. I know the weather's lovely but I'm still so tired! Really hope this ends soon. Sorry for monster post!

Shelb my DH is not keen on coming at all! I definitely won't mention the touchy feelyness until it's too late or he will run a mile! Grin I think I'll wait until after the 12 week scan before booking.

Thanks Planet, I will have a look at the Dream Genii.

Thanks for all the sling info Bunch, I think for me I might find it easier to go to a library to try them in person. Stretchy sound nice and comfy. There is some entry level info on the NCT website too for anyone else looking.

Lovely to hear about baby moving Shelb and New Smile

May glad things are going better with OH, you must have both had a shock. Hope you're feeling better now Flowers

Pink those leggings are gorgeous! I might get those for pregnancy yoga which I hope to start soon. Has anyone done it? What top is best to wear to avoid riding up?

Co5mo hope you're feeling better now Flowers

Potato loving the sound of the garden centre potter! Can't wait to moe to the new place and get our garden sorted. Fx for your mortgage meeting on Tuesday.

Starky I am mega bloated too, I've had to buy a couple of bits for work in a size up as all my normal clothes are just too tight! I am really paranoid that people must be noticing Blush

Planet congratulations to your dad! That sounds lovely!

Feefs we had thunder and lightning yesterday! (Midlands)

Lisa glad you're feeling better Smile

Nev your hair sounds lovely!

ElleSarcasmo · 08/05/2016 18:57

Potato the kitchen sounds gorgeous!

Pinklily1 · 08/05/2016 18:59

That kitchen sounds lovely Potato.! I love range cookers but we bought a new build in which one would look very out of place! It's on my list of things to have at some point though.

Lisa, glad you are coming through the other side of the sickness. It's such a relief when you start feeling better.

Bunch, so funny about Pip's movement! I had some tummy movement in the bath last night. I'm still slightly freaked out about it but I'm sure I'll get used to it.

It's peaked at a grand total of 16.5 today - positively tropical for the North East SmileI'd like a warm summer but not too warm - I don't think being heavily pregnant and baking hot would be nice!

I've got a random question for you ladies who are married - what music did you have to walk down the aisle to and back up? Or if you aren't married, what would you have? So far OH's helpful suggestion for our return up the aisle was The Funeral March Hmm We don't want Cannon D or the traditional wedding march, but are open to any suggestions, including slightly quirky. So far in thinking All of Me by John Legend for going down the aisle to (the instrumental version).

Pinklily1 · 08/05/2016 19:01

Ps Nev, I think the hair sounds lovely too. It's good to have a change sometimes!

Feefeefs · 08/05/2016 19:11

It did eventually get up to sunny 20 in Glasgow we tried to have a bbq but it rained Sad ha ha was fun tho.

We walked down the aisle to "sleeping at last" cover of "500 miles" a bit tongue in check as DH is Scottish but also a lovely version.

BunchOfBobs · 08/05/2016 19:14

We had thunder and lightening too yesterday, it was amazing I LOVE thunder storms.

Pink I walked down the aisle to A thousand years by Christina Perri. Signed the register to I wanna make it wit Chu by Queens of the Stone Age and we walked out to Mr Blue Sky by ELO.

Kitchen sounds very like my taste Potato and quite similar to my kitchen but different colours. I ended up getting a range style induction cooker as we don't have gas out here (back end of beyond, I'm sure I've emphasised it more than once Wink) and I love the look of range cookers.

LisaTheGreek · 08/05/2016 19:30

Thank you everyone, you're so sweet.

Potato - that sounds like the kitchen we're getting! We've decided to get a new one over the summer before the baby arrives, and have ordered a kitchen from Wren in the same - cream cabinets, dark wood top, cream ceramic sink, etc.

We're very excited about it Grin

leoniethelioness · 08/05/2016 19:31

Pink We had Marry Me by Train, Happy Together by the Turtles, and then Your Song and How Long Will I Love You by Ellie Goulding in between (it can take a while to sign the register and pose for photos!)

We had I Won't Give Up by Jason Mraz as our first dance.

Bunch - Wish we'd thought of Mr Blue Sky! Such a great song.

LisaTheGreek · 08/05/2016 19:31

Bunch - I adore Mr Blue Sky!

It's on my main playlist but I have a rule that I'm only allowed to play it when there is actually a blue sky. So if it comes on and it's raining or cloudy, I turn it over.

Very strict and sad! It's such a happy song.

leoniethelioness · 08/05/2016 19:34

Potato, Lisa - I'm getting kitchen envy! We've had the same kitchen since we moved in and it's cream and solid and well-made and I mostly really like it but I hate the tiles. The walls are also really loud shade of yellow. It's big for the size of the house and light, and everything works and is clean, so it's low down on our list of priorities. We're still without carpet after part of the new plaster is blown so we're waiting for the plasterer to come back to do it again before we can finish and lay new carpets. Tiptoeing around the house in granny slippers!

IndiX · 08/05/2016 19:46

Pink out first dance was All of Me by John Legend and I walked down the aisle to At Last by Etta James, I LOVE both those songs especially At Last.

It ended up getting sunny about 2.30pm here in sunny Scotland Hmm been to get my nails and toes done ready for my holiday and walked the dogs..a semi-productive Sunday!

Pinklily1 · 08/05/2016 19:55

Oooh, some good suggestions. Thanks ladies! I love that Jason Mraz song.

We aren't having a first dance (going for not very traditional!) but I hadn't even thought about filler music for when we sign the register etc.

BunchOfBobs · 08/05/2016 20:20

Our first dance song was Never Tear us Apart by INXS. We chose it tongue in cheek but our families thought "the lyrics were just lovely".Grin
