booked83 · 01/05/2016 10:52

Hey everyone sorry I've been quite on here... Will try n catch up n see what I've missed... we have been using my sons old car seat for when we have had nephews etc... We have a one that came in the Pram!

There still trying to control my blood pressure it's very erratic I think they will bring Harry forward if they can't control it! Confused (though Harry is fine!) I w be happy if I can get past my birthday! (16th may!)

MindfulBear · 01/05/2016 11:29

Jelly we use a waterproof sheet on our own bed too and our mattress is fairly new so I'm not worrying about co sleeping. . However our old message was horse hair and other natural materials and well over 20 years old but again we used a waterproof cover and DH used to hoover it. Plus I think co sleeping offers protection against SIDs so less likely anyway.

DH is not looking forward to getting rid of the duvet for another 6 - 9 months or so whilst we co sleep with a baby. He really wasn't keen on sheets and blankets but I can't risk the duvet smothering a child not strong enough to kick it off. Are you doing the same?

MindfulBear · 01/05/2016 11:30

Btw has anyone got to the really pregnant stage yet.... Just seen this article!
www.babble.com/pregnancy/you-know-youre-really-pregnant-when/

What would you add?!

clarish84 · 01/05/2016 11:30

Eeek ladies our babies are due next month Grin Flowers it's sound crazy gone so fast exciting times

mrsmugoo · 01/05/2016 12:11

Booked - what's your BP at the moment? Mine was 132/90 today so I've got to continue monitoring. They seem reasonably concerned but not panicky yet.

strawberrypenguin · 01/05/2016 13:36

No midwife today after all! She was up all night with a woman in labour so rescheduled for Tuesday. Means I have consultant clinic in the morning and midwife in the afternoon.

DS was up last night being sick so hoping I don't get it (if it was a bug) I've antibac gelled my hands to death!

JellyBaby26 · 01/05/2016 16:16

We are naughty and use the duvet !

jellybelly85 · 01/05/2016 16:16

mindful that list is uncanny. i can tick around 75% off at 33w. I picked up a package from the post office (1 mile round trip) and had 4 sit-down breaks to rest. Socks and tights are now saved for special occasions only (when DP can help put them on). Cannot wait for our sofas to be delivered... hopefully within 10 days. Sharing a beanbag with DP and our dog has lost any novelty/fun value now its been 3 weeks. OOMPH!

Finally went for it today and bought a pram! Went for the Baby Jogger City Versa in the end - going cheap as seems to have been discontinued, but looks to fit all our needs. Now to decide on a car seat... and gradually putting together my hospital bag. NCT starts next week. The end is nigh...!

JellyBaby26 · 01/05/2016 16:17

Not over the baby though (I do now but not when she was little

strawberrypenguin · 01/05/2016 18:10

That's a great list mindful I can definitely tick most of those off!

MadrigalElectromotive · 01/05/2016 18:17

I love that list! I am 36 weeks tomorrow and feel really pregnant now. We went to a wedding yesterday and today I am so tired that I have actually cried about it. Met a lovely 3 month old though who made me very excited to meet our little one. Smile

nehagarg · 01/05/2016 18:31

Looks like we have made it to the end of this thread without any more births! But definitely won't make it to the end of the next one. Smile Here is the link

PS - Brilliant list mindful. Getting induced next week and definitely not scared anymore. Just want the baby to be here and for my tummy to stop being sore Grin. Can't believe I will have a baby next week! Shock

*mrsmugnro I keep meaning to come on here and replying but keep getting distracted! It was 160/99 when the brought me in... It's been erratic all weekend up n down though hopefully under control now I think.... But mount of tablets I'm on is stupid!

How's everyone else doing? Fingers crossed I'm home soon... I miss my bed and the ward is so hot though think I'm used to it now!

Vikkijayne2507 · 02/05/2016 10:29

That list is scarily accurate. I'm having real issues putting shoes on, also dropping things on the floor it's such a mission esp as I have excruciating muscle issues with my pelvic muscles, it's driving me mad hoping it'll be over next month

mrsmugoo · 02/05/2016 13:17

Oh booked that is quite high! Hoping it comes down for you.

I keep trying to relax but life must go on and I'm still working and looking after a 2 year old it's so hard to relax! Something possessed me to "stroll" to the shops with my DS this morning. Usually I take a buggy but he needs the walking practice.

Oh lord. Running around after him in co-op with him grabbing everything in sight from the shelves. Ugh. I bet my BP was rocketing!!
