Wow red good luck!!! Stay put baby red!!!!

strawberrypenguin · 28/04/2016 09:27

Gosh red that must have been a shock. Hope baby stays put for another couple of weeks.

Love your little helpers clarish

mrsmugoo · 28/04/2016 09:38

No baby shower for me second time round but I only had a tiny gathering of my best friends with afternoon tea last time. But out of those, one had a baby 3 days a go, one is having IVF at the moment and one has moved cities anyway.

clarish84 · 28/04/2016 09:43

Oh wow redtammy that must of been such a shock x fingers crossed for you baby stays put x

laughingGnomette · 28/04/2016 11:10

rew - ball bouncing is great. I actually found that after DS was born, if I bounced gently on the ball with him in my arms he would relax if he was upset - like he remembered and was comforted by the movement :)

mrsmugoo · 28/04/2016 11:38

I got my ball pumped up last night and sat on it watching Eastenders. Brought back memories of sitting on ball for hours and hours first time!

GinaBambino · 28/04/2016 11:41

Yay finally found the June thread. I'm a newbie so sorry for gatecrashing. Due a little boy 7th June.
Nearly there all Smile

mrsmugoo · 28/04/2016 11:46

Hi Gina! I'm due on the 7th too!

GinaBambino · 28/04/2016 11:51

Yay mrs my birthday is in June too but luckily right at the end so he'll be here by then

Was at midwife Tues who said baby is pretty much ready to engage, this is my first so I'm pretty much terrified of labour right now.

mrsmugoo · 28/04/2016 12:24

I'm at the MW tomorrow. My first was breech and I ended up with an ELCS which I'm desperately wanting to avoid this time as looking after a toddler with a C Sec wound to recover from is going to be awful. I'm dying to find out if she's head down!!

GinaBambino · 28/04/2016 13:23

Good luck! My SIL has a 3yo DD and has recently had a DS by CS, think she found it pretty tough but she can drive again now which has given her back some sanity.

ILovePies · 28/04/2016 15:46

Hi gina I'm 7th June too!! Not long ladies.

red hope baby stays put! Good luck! Must have been at very big shock for you!
mrsmugoo I always felt DS hiccups at the top, used to really panic me but he was never breech! Fingers crossed your little one is head down.
clarish how cute are your little helpers!
Just catching up & completely relate to the tiredness. All I want to do is nap! My sickness and heart burn is so bad at the moment really hoping it eases soon!

JellyBaby26 · 28/04/2016 16:32

It has been shared on the Facebook group but lanisoh nipple cream is half price at boots at the moment. Just over £5 which is a bargain for it.

I'm going to have a 1yr old disabled child and a section so I'm royally fudged! !

MollieRos · 28/04/2016 17:12

redtammy eek, a bit of drama you could've done without! Fingers crossed little one stays put for a bit longer.

clarish they look like they're being a great help!

ILove sorry you're struggling with sickness and tiredness. I've just been giving in to the tiredness and napping whenever I can. I pretty much look forward to my after work nap from about as soon as I get up Smile

MrsLids · 28/04/2016 17:43

Hi hi- been lurking for a few months now, due 13th...anybody else got masses of water retention...?I'm so swollen, hands, feet, legs Confused nice to meet you all Smile

iamdivergent · 28/04/2016 18:16

MrsLids Hi Grin
I have some puffy ankles and a double chin but nothing to much else so far.

I hope these last few weeks fly in, can't wait to meet my little man. Two friends have had babies in the past week, it's making me so excited for mine! Dsis is coming this weekend and bringing dniece - she'll be 10wks on Sunday! That's gone so fast, and I'll have a baby in less than that Shock

sambababy · 28/04/2016 18:21

redtammy that must've been a huge shock! I always thought they had to deliver up to 24hrs after the waters broke. Is it just hind waters or whatever it's called that have gone? Hope the leaking stops!

Ive just bought some maternity pads and newborn nappies online and started getting out DD's baby clothes. It still feels far too early, but then I was finishing my hospital bag 3hrs before DD was born so I'd like to avoid that this time haha.

Mrslids if you're very swollen do tell your midwife as it can be a sign of pre eclampsia.

MrsLids · 28/04/2016 19:28

Thanks guys!
I've checked out the pre eclampsia with mw and all fine....I feel like my face and head has doubled in size... Anyone know how soon after baby is born it goes down?

cautiousoptimist1 · 28/04/2016 20:41

red what a shock for you, hope you are ok and your little one stays put for as long as possible.

clarish adorable little helpers you have there. I hope that they'll be the same when the baby comes.

mrslids welcome!

I think baby has repositioned him/herself in the last couple of days as I'm getting most of the kicks on the opposite side to normal and something is in my ribs which is most uncomfortable!

I haven't had more leg cramps overnight since someone at work suggested trying tonic water before bed. My nighttime routine is now bio oil, tonic water, gaviscon but am sleeping much better!

I think you've all prompted me to get a hospital bag sorted this weekend. There's nothing quite like the thought of my husband having to pack my stuff for me to focus the mind!

If anyone is still looking for an occasion wear dress, I found a much more reasonably priced one today in a style I'd normally choose from Dorothy Perkins. It's a lace dress and I need to sort some flat shoes but I'm pleased it's sorted.

Torfhinn · 28/04/2016 21:06

Midwife confirmed baby Torf is head down, yay! Fx for you tomorrow mrsmugoo.

I've ordered maternity pads, mats, breast pads and lasinoh from boots today, will hopefully have my bag packed in the next week or so, midwife seemed to think i should be doing it right now, though! I have washed all the newborn clothes and sorted out somewhere for baby to sleep so getting there Smile

Welcome mrslids

Torfhinn · 28/04/2016 21:06

And welcome gina!

GinaBambino · 28/04/2016 21:55

Thanks everyone!
Ooh cautious I might try the tonic water trick, I get awful leg cramps at night.
Bag is packed (had to be as we're moving house so it had to go in the car just in case) and nursery is ready.

MindfulBear · 28/04/2016 23:45

Evening ladies. Welcome to the newbies & wishing crossed legged thoughts & Magic sticky dust to others.

My bump has gone mad today. I mean mad. Rock hard. & pressure in odd places. Like she is trying to get out just above my belly button using her bum or head (not sure which way up she is - she was breech or transverse ).

Anyone else had this? What did you do? It's a bit sore if I'm honest!

MrsLids · 29/04/2016 00:22

mindful bear
Yesssss I get the pressure on the belly button like it's trying to escape! I'm like noooo wrong exit babyWink

nehagarg · 29/04/2016 06:53

me too Mindful. Been like that for a few days now. Cant get it to relax at all, except when I lie down on my side. Even then, dont think it relaxes, just becomes easier to bear without gravity.

I am putting it down to final growth spurts. But not wuite sure whats going on.
