Hello all! Sorry I haven't been on in an absolute age. DD1 is running me raged at the mo. Lovely to see all of the scan pics though.

Does anyone fancy adding to a list of due dates and adding the sex (if known) it would look a little something like this...

Example 7th August Girl
HazzaB89 21st August Unknown
Example 24th August Boy

So we keep it in due date order and then as we start having the babies we can add the delivery date. Just a bit of fun we had in my October 2014 thread.

Feel free to ignore if you don't want to do it! But just in case I'll get the ball rolling...

I've been away Friday Saturday Sunday with some of my girl friends. We had a lovely time basically gossiping and eating too much. Today Ds and DH have gone out on an all day bike ride and I'm being lazy! Just about to have a shower and finish off DS's new room. I hope he likes it!

Fully signed-up member of bath brigade here! I have one pretty much every day as it helps with back pain. Always gets baby moving too. It's one of my best friend's hen do this weekend and we're going to a spa - obviously I can't do the sauna stuff :-( but am having a facial and going swimming. Naively thought I may fit into my pre-pregnancy tankini, tried it on, started laughing hysterically, went online and bought a new one! Hopefully will be of use in early stages of using birth pool too. Have had lovely chilled out weekend after really busy time at work :-)

Ooooo Sophia I am so envious of your spa weekend. I've got a hen party to go to in a couple of weeks which involves late nights and lots of drinking Sad Obviously not me!

Is anyone else on pelvic rest? The hospital never mentioned it after the scan that showed low-lying placenta but my midwife has told me I should be until my scan at 32 weeks. 21 weeks to 32 weeks is a long frigging (or rather non-frigging) time! She's very sex-obsessed and a tad old-fashioned..

lilygirl81 · 03/05/2016 00:43

Sophia I'm on a sex ban too, from 22 weeks to the end, nothing allowed that might make me contract (I'm going mad already after 5 weeks)

Morning everyone,

Sorry I have been a bit MIA, spent a week back home with parents last week and decided to take a bit of a break from technology which was lovely.

Feel like I have missed quite a bit, but hope everyone is doing well??! and welcome to any new joiners!!

All still plodding along this end with nothing much to report other than I still have the annoying back/rib pain, am seeing the chiro again today so looking forward to being clicked back into place Confused Have found I am needing to eat more frequently these days, so have taken to prepping a mega smoothie in the morning which I keep in the fridge and snack on throughout the day which helps the hunger and sugar cravings!

I think I read someone else (coco?!) was having pelvic pain, found a very helpful tutorial on youtube which shows how you can loosen the muscles that support the pelvis and honestly doing this every morning has really helped my pelvic pain...

27 + 4 today, have added my details below...thanks hazza for doing this :)

It's really tough, isn't it lily? Has had positive side effect (I suppose..) of helping me see how important sex is to a relationship in terms of intimacy. I could well be banned until the end too depending on whether my placenta has moved. I think it most likely has, but can't know for sure till scan.

Mslg · 03/05/2016 11:02

Hi everyone, sorry to hear that some of you have been placed on a ban Sad I'm struggling a bit with DTD as well in terms of comfort during and after so it hasn't been very frequent for us either. Feel bad for DP.

Not on a ban here but absolutely no energy whatsoever! We've been super busy with getting stuff organised at home - decorating, endless trips to Ikea (there's currently an Ikea wardrobe unbuilt in our living room), etc etc. I don't think DH has enough spare energy either at the moment so at least we're compatible!! I figure as long as we still feel close, then we can muddle through for a while : )

For those with pelvic pain, physio is worth a shot. I had some last time, she was great. I'm going to request an appt tomorrow (through work this time, rather than midwife as I think it will be significantly quicker).

Urgh I think I'm coming down with the lurgy. I've been in bed all day and still feel tired and crappy. I've git to get up and get the boy in a bit. I think it might be a trip to tescos for pizza for dinner after school. I cannot get bothered with anything else. I suppose it could be that I over did it a bit at the weekend. Either way I think I need an early night.

bearhuggy · 03/05/2016 14:37

Oh no pickle sorry to hear you are feeling rubbish...to be honest I too was feeling a bit grotty over the weekend, very tired and head coldy. A couple of early nights and some super smoothies seem to have done the trick!

biscuits well done with all your jobs, really need to get moving this end, we've done nothing in terms of getting the nursery ready. We have got our pram and clothing sorted, so at least thats something !!

Colabottle10 · 03/05/2016 16:43

No Gestational Diabetes for me I'm pleased to report!

Sophia1984 · 03/05/2016 20:16

Any other first time mums (or anyone actually) been hit with the sudden realization that they're actually going to go through childbirth and have a baby in a matter of a few months? I'm feeling quite freaked out right now! It all feels very real and scary Shock

lilygirl81 · 03/05/2016 20:25

Sophia I'm a bit like that, realised we have the books on what happens in pregnancy, but nothing about what to actually do with the baby once it's here!! Picked up a cheap copy of the baby whisperer book, but not felt brave enough to open it yet!

Cola that's great news, you must be relieved.

Pickle I hope you get your early night and feel a bit better.

I finally made it to the hairdresser today to get my colour done, had about 3 inches of white roots!!! They dried it really nicely, shame that after my nap it's totally straight again, oh well.

Mslg · 03/05/2016 20:25

Sophia sometimes I get a bit frightened when I think about it too much. But then I stop myself! My whole pregnancy I've just taken one day at a time with a ce sera attitude. I suffer with anxiety and if I sat worrying about stuff id drive myself mental! Smile

PickleBot · 03/05/2016 20:46

Don't freak out about babies...they don't know what they are doing either remember. You'll all learn together. The best book I found last time was the wonder weeks. I had your baby week by week too which was good.

I'm seeing my lactation consultant tomorrow. I'm actually quite nervous about it, plus my house is like a bomb site after a weekend away and feeling shit all day.

Sophia I'm still not really thinking about it! I feel like I know enough in general to muddle through and while my parents are a couple of hundred miles away I have very helpful in-laws and a young niece and nephew so should be able to do alright. We start antenatal classes tomorrow as well, hopefully they'll cover a bit about parenting as well as the birth.

I drove myself nuts today worrying about reduced movement. It's going crazy now - exactly the time of day it usually does. While I don't have anxiety I do worry myself unnecessarily about things. First it was whether I'd conceived, then whether I was going to miscarry and now foetal movement. Urgh Confused
