Glad the bump is going down Santa, could be an infected milk duct?

I did the gtt with my last pg, it was fine, just boring hanging round the hospital!

PickleBot · 24/04/2016 20:51

beckstar our nct sale would refund you, thats grim!

How are you all getting on with names? We are down to 5 now, which is okay I think. Erin, Megan, Bethany, Tamsyn, Merryn, her middle name will be Alys (A-liss) after my gran. Merryn Alys is the front runner at the moment.

They're all lovely PicklyBot I know some really nice Tamsyns and Bethany's :-) I am struggling a lot with boys names - had a huge list for a girl, but there are no boys names I absolutely love - just ones that sound ok.

hgleslie89 · 24/04/2016 21:45

We've got a first name and middle name for each gender. Our choices are Marion Eleanor and Francis Iain. I love names (wrote my undergrad dissertation about them) and DH isn't so fussed, so I pretty much have free rein! That said, if it's a girl it'll be named after his gran, who he was very close to.

Fizzyboo · 24/04/2016 22:04

Santa sounds like the antibiotics are doing their thang then, sounds positive.

Yes plimsolls, I went quiet on the kicks front and rushed out to get a Doppler from tesco to reassure myself. Though as soon as I laid out in bed, she started kicking me, had just saved them up I think!

As for names, we strangely picked them very early on, and the first suggestions we made, we really liked! So (as she is now a she) we are going for Isabella Louise (incidentally both our grandmothers) but if it was a boy, we were going for Felix (which I still absolutely love!) so we've been referring to ze bump as Fizzy from early days (hence my MN name) as a combo of the two names, we're now stuck calling her Fizzy, so I think it will end up sticking around till she's grown as one of this annoying family nicknames!

Cute pics christine. Think your name is on that second one, if you mind that.

Some lovely name choices here, we are still very much undecided. We have a very common boring surname that just doesn't seem to go with any of the names we like!

Christinedonna · 24/04/2016 22:49

I've reported it and been checking every minute since to see if it's gone! Not you lot I mind just don't like it being out there for the world

MrsSantaClause · 25/04/2016 06:38

I've got a first name for each gender, Charlie, and Josephine. Haven't got anywhere with middle names yet though.

PickleBot · 25/04/2016 08:15

santa it surprises me how many people don't have middle names. None of DH's family do.

We're (I'm) having real problems on the name front, thought it was going to be a boy, it isn't! So really struggling with a girls name, last name will be king, really makes it difficult, either makes her sound like a cut price florist/shop, a drag queen, or verb! Any suggestions gratefully received!

Christinedonna · 25/04/2016 09:19

Okay il try again!
We had our 4d scan yesterday.. Little madam was facing down, then right against the placenta then with her hands over her face. We eventually got some nice pictures and decided to stick with them rather than rebooking as one) the real reason we had the scan was to confirm she's definitely a she. She is! And two) I got a bit emotional at the thought of not leaving with all the pictures id just seen. Like I was leaving her behind (I know, I'm a crazy hormone bag) so yeah. After 45 minutes worth of walking and my body weight in water we got a view of her face. The average weight for her age is 1lb 3oz. She's 1lb 10oz!! That's where this bumps come from!

Suziesome1 · 25/04/2016 09:48

She's beautiful! Congratulations! And all that waters good for your skin ;)

Christinedonna · 25/04/2016 09:50

Thank you suzie it still doesn't feel real! But I really do feel like she's beautiful already! Got her daddy's nose and my lips.

PickleBot · 25/04/2016 10:46

Suzie how about

Estelle (Stella), Sara, Charlotte, evelyn, Alice, Annabelle, Imogen (this was top of my last when I had DS.), Lauren, Nicole, Orlando or Alexia (Lexie).

Sophia this is our boys list...not that we'll need it now so you (anfpd anyone else who needs it) are welcome to it! Unless there is a surprise DC 3 I might as well delete it, but I can't! I've been keeping it since we had DS because choosing his name was a massive ball ache because of DH

Christine what beautiful pictures 😍 We're debating getting a 4D as well but OH isn't fussed, said he'd rather wait till the day! I want to get one but I fear if we do there'll be temptation to find out the sex which I don't want to do.

Lovely names everyone! We are completely set on a boys name, Toby and we have sort of picked a girls name - Robyn but sometimes I'm not so sure. Middle names will be either of my parents names, depending on the sex. We haven't told anyone our names in real life as people have a tendency to say the wrong thing and put you off.

I was at a wedding on Saturday and stayed overnight which was lovely. Asked a hotel employee where the breakfast room was the next morning and she didn't answer, just instantly rushed over and rubbed my bump and asked when I was due. Then as if on cue 'GOSH! Are you sure there's only one in there!!' Hmm It really bothered me and I was a bit mad with myself after for not saying something but I'm not a confrontational person by nature. I know people 'mean well' but I just find it so weird and rude when they do it. It's bizarre how a complete stranger feels like they have the right to touch someone like that without permission. It's fucking annoying. Angry

PickleBot · 25/04/2016 10:54

Suzie just thought of Tegan with Tig as a nn, I love it, but DH vetoed it.

HG I found you on F/B, please add me to the group - my surname is Bell - thank you

Chianablue · 25/04/2016 13:28

His everyone. I've missed so much. Haven't had Internet all weekend. What's happening with the fb group? I'd love to join

plimsolls · 25/04/2016 14:27

Some great names here! We haven't really got down to proper discussions yet. Well, we've got a boys name sorted I think (without much discussion!) but still thinking about girls. Middle name is chosen and is unisex (and not actually a name Shock). Actually- I'd like your opinion on whether this would be weird or not. My mum is very much alive but we'd quite like to name the baby after her if it is a girl. My mum never uses her full name really and we'd give the baby a different nn to the one my mum uses.... I don't think she would mind (in fact, I think she would be delighted) but I'm not sure if it's weird to name the baby after a living person or not?

plimsolls · 25/04/2016 14:28

picklebot Laurie and Ivo are names that I absolutely love. Can't use either for family reasons though.

FourForYouGlenCoco · 25/04/2016 14:54

Lovely pics Christine! Glad she behaved for you eventually, and that she didn't end up being a he - you'd have had an awful lot of shopping to return Grin
Mslg ooooh that would make me rage. I don't mind people I know having a little pat of the bump, but a complete stranger is so inappropriate! Why do personal space boundaries go out the window as soon as you're preggers?!
plimsolls I don't think it's weird to name the baby after someone living. If anything it's even nicer as they actually get to know about it!

We finally have a boy's name sorted after months of arguing. It's literally the only name we could agree on, so there is no way we're changing it! It's not to everyone's taste though so I'm not telling anyone til he's born and then they can't moan.
26+3 here and noticing that the tiredness seems to be ramping up a bit again, anyone else noticed that?? Feel like I could sleep all day every day!

Christinedonna · 25/04/2016 15:07

mslg oh god it's my worst nightmare! It's one of those annoying things isn't it, you're too shocked at the time but the minute you walk away you think of 100 things you should have said!
We're still a million miles from picking a name! We've always liked Alice but I'm just not sure I love it. I like unique things and the thought of not knowing anyone else with the name..but still pretty and not bizarre! It's tricky finding the happy medium
