How many weeks are you, Shrop?

That's so exciting!

Only 10+1! I think it's impossible but then again if I had a prune wiggling in my tummy I'm sure I'd feel it?! It's my second so can't mistake this feeling with wind!

Planeteer · 09/03/2016 22:59

Evening all. Checking in.
Planet, age 29, 7+6 with #1.

Nausea ramping up now. Haven't been sick yet but the waves of grossness are getting stronger. Also now when I'm cold (which is ALWAYS) my nipples feel like they're falling off. Ouch!!

Booking in appt 24th March, scan 8th April. Can't come quickly enough!

Tallblue · 10/03/2016 03:41

Morning all
Checking in

Tallblue
Age: 34
Expecting DC#2
Due date somewhere between 18-22 October

Had booking in appointment with OB doctor and scan on Tuesday. Thankfully all fine and there was a heartbeat and just one little bean! I was advised I'll be seen every 4 weeks up to 32 weeks and then fortnightly after that. No actual discussion about due date so I'm still unclear. By period dates based on standard calculation (28 days) I'd be 8 weeks but my cycles are 32 days. Scan measured little bean at 7+4 which seems more accurate. I think that makes my due date somewhere around 20th October but I'm not sure! Does anyone know of a website or app that will help me calculate it based on current status e.g if I'm now 7+6 my due date will be xx?

The wonders of navigating maternity systems overseas..,,

OMG I had a thing for cauliflower cheese last week! The week before it was jacket potato and beans. This week I am struggling to think of anything I might fancy.

And everything smells! Mainly anything dirty or chemically. My husband is an engineer so the smell of oil and grease pervades the house. Even I seem to smell of it - sometimes I am kept awake by my own stink even if I've had a shower.

I used to love burying my nose in my cat's fur and inhaling the gorgeous catty scent of him - not so pleasant now.

Even if I sit too close to people at work I can smell them. I can smell whatever anyone is eating in any part of the office. Sometimes I want to jump on them and steal their food...

BigPigLittlePig · 10/03/2016 12:33

Iris I have been on a perpetual hunt for something that stinks stinks stinks in my kitchen. Nobody else can smell it, but it's foul. And yy to the cat (anf dog) thing. I feel bad for our dog as she too is firmly in Camp Stink.

missybct · 10/03/2016 13:05

I think my uterus must have popped too over last couple of days - could be because I'm 'bunged up' too - but my sides and middle just above pubic bone is v tender, can definitely feel stretching going on there!

JulietteL · 10/03/2016 13:06

Me too! I smell people on the train. Ugh. It's not their fault but ugh.

And I keep telling DH to take the bin out as it always seems to smell so bad I can't go near it!!

Bluecarrot · 10/03/2016 15:51

Thinking about you goldenpineapple and hoping you got reassuring news.
After reading your post I got checked out too and they detected blood so I'm going to EPU tomorrow morning. But had this with first two pregnancies too. Still nervous!

Afreshstartplease · 10/03/2016 15:54

With you all on the smells!

8+5 today

I've had lots of rubbling trapped wind which has been uncomfortable to say the least

I wonder when I will feel this baby, DC3 I didn't feel til late on as the placenta was blocking her movements

No sign of a scan date yet

MsFiremanSam · 10/03/2016 16:22

Thought the old thread was quiet!
9+5 here and still feeling sick 😭 Agh, when will it end?!
No scan date yet and had arms butchered today by midwife trying to extract blood from my useless veins.
All in all, feeling quite sorry for myself!

goldenpineapple · 10/03/2016 16:25

Aaah thanks for thinking of me Blue - I was actually a bit worried that I'd worried you unnecessarily iyswim! But its defo best to be checked out if in any doubt. I really hope you get good news tomorrow, fx for you.

My scan showed no problems at all - a lovely little bean, heartbeat and all and measuring 8+1 which is 2 days off LMP but bang on for when I thought I ovulated so really pleased. Albeit slightly weirded out - this is my first and its all so surreal!

Afreshstartplease · 10/03/2016 16:29

Has no one on this thread discovered multiples yet?

Surely someone will have them!

Havetobecrazytolivehere · 10/03/2016 16:52

It had better not be me fresh, they are on my mothers side and did like the idea of it in the first two pregnancies. Not so keen now I have 3.

Iris you made me remember when I was waiting for a scan with my second pg and a man was eating beef hula hoops (which I had never eaten), the smell was driving me barmy I wanted to steal them off him!

I too am sniffing round the house after a mystery smell, sometimes I can smell the radiators when the heating is on!
9+4 today, ate a tiger baguette for lunch.

AngharadTheSplendid · 10/03/2016 17:02

My OB suspected twins at my appointment yesterday as I've been sooo sick and she said my uterus felt bigger than 9 weeks. But she did a quick scan to check and there's only one in there! My first pregnancy was twins but one of them was a blighted ovum sadly.

MyBreadIsEggy · 10/03/2016 17:24

DH and I are terrified of multiple Confused twins run on both sides of the family, and I'm way way way more bloaty than I was with DD Blush I think I will actually faint if I'm having more than one!

Peppaspants · 10/03/2016 17:53

Got an early scan tomorrow when I will be 10 weeks exactly due to previous late loss (post 20 weeks) fingers crossed!!

goldenpineapple · 10/03/2016 18:09

Ha, the sonographer today said she was 'just going to check if there was another one in there' and DH went white - don't think he'd even considered the idea of twins! I'd always loved the idea of them, until I actually got pregnant, now it terrifies me slightly.

Good luck for your scan tomorrow Peppas

FuzzyOwl · 10/03/2016 18:12

I'd love twins!

MsFiremanSam · 10/03/2016 18:35

Another one with weird smell issues! My house smells foul. Keep looking in the fridge thinking something must be off. DH thinks I've gone mad.

SimileMilly · 10/03/2016 19:04

10+4 here. My best friend sent me down her Doppler today and I >think< I found the heartbeat! Roll on scan on Tuesday.

missybct · 10/03/2016 19:06

I can smell people's laundry powder - that's how sensitive it gets sometimes. But then somebody can walk past me smoking and I smell nothing - very strange.

Sicky feel abated during the day but returned this evening - I can't seem to train my tastebuds to fancy anything at the moment after carb city for the last 5 weeks Grin.

No twins/multiples here thank goodness - just the one for us Smile

athousandsplendidsuns · 10/03/2016 19:38

I got cross with dh yesterday about the smell of a boiling pan of water before he'd even put the pasta in.....going to bed now, drained of all energy and need a break from nausea! And multiples....two of my friends have got twins (one set are 1 and the other about 3 weeks) and it looks much harder than I'd really considered. No family history here so fingers crossed! Pleased for everyone with good scan/heartbeat news.

BigPigLittlePig · 10/03/2016 19:59

One of the mums from my previous antenatal group had twins. It was horrendous, I believe. A constant cycle of nappies, feeds, changes. Towards the end of their first year, she posted some stats about number of nappies etc. Terrifying.

That said, me and dh bumped into the proudest dad in the world in the supermarket - he was pushing his 8mo boy twins in the trolley - allegedly they were magical sleeping happy babys and had beena breeze...

ditsygal · 10/03/2016 20:07

I actually had a look around with my doppler earlier to check if I could find a 2nd heart beat (I couldn't thank god!) as my bump is already sizable at 10 weeks!
I have twin niece and nephew, and a couple of friends with twins, and god it looks like hard work! 1 baby is hard enough! and I already have a 3 year old to look after too.
