OK, so I have the positive pregnancy testS! - we have told one person, are agonising about who else to tell when, we have bought two books on pregnancy.

But what happens next? Do I just phone the doctor tommorow to make an appointment, should I wait a couple of weeks? Then what happens?

Total newbie to this, no idea what I am doing at all!

Angua - sorry to hear about your cold, its a pain not being able to take anything - can ypu use eucalptus(sp?) oil, im not sure, but it always helps me when im coldified

AnguaVonUberwald · 02/01/2007 18:59

I also indulged over the christmas period. Was totally convinced we would not conceive this month, just kind of did a pregnancy test because I had bought loads of them cheap off ebay!!

Should we be having more symptoms by now? Not sure my boobs have actually grown yet missmapp! Just sore so far.

Congratulations to all of you!
Just popped over from the April thread, and this has made me realise how soon mine will be here!
From a very nervous first time mum-to-be xx

missmapp · 02/01/2007 19:57

Ahh angua you must understand mine shrank to an a cup after bf my ds, so any slight change is v. noticable!!!

lou031205 · 02/01/2007 22:24

Hi, can I join you?

My name is Louise, 27, and I found out I am pregnant on New Year's Eve. This is my second (DD, Millie, has just turned 1!!!!)

I have been having lots of pain, so doctor's arranged scan at EPU on Friday. Not too worried, 'cos I had this with Millie, but a little apprehensive.

Louise x

SparklyGothKat · 02/01/2007 22:38

HI, I am due on the sept 2nd. Had a postive test on thursday, but I am pregnant due to a MAP failure. We were shocked but excited. This is my 5th pregnancy ( DS is 9, DD1 is 6 and dd2 is 5 and 1 miscarriage in 99) but have had some spotting over the last few days and I am booked into the EPU on monday for a scan. I am hoping that because the loss is such a tiny tiny amount that everything is ok.

jess1996 · 03/01/2007 07:49

Hi all, Congratulations to all those who've joined the thread .
I am still having really sore boobs, but no change in size (I don't want to be any bigger though ). I feel slightly queasy from time to time, mostly in the evenings. I almost wish I had more symptoms though, to make it feel a bit more real.
Hope everyone else is keeping well. Good luck with the scan SparklyGothKat, hope all goes well for you.

CocoLoco · 03/01/2007 11:18

Oh crap, I'm bleeding bright red. Looks like I'll be bowing out of this thread

SparklyGothKat · 03/01/2007 11:51

CL sorry to hear that you are bleeding,

I had some more spotting last night, but its all stopped again this morning. Don;t know if I can wait till monday, but I know they can't see me in EPU until I am 6 weeks. I need to go shopping but everyone is telling to rest, DH has just nipped to the shops to get some binbags, but I daren't make him go full food shopping without me, he would spend far too much money and come back with crap lol

CocoLoco · 03/01/2007 12:11

Thanks - I just saw your other thread, I hope all is well with you when you do finally get seen at the EPU. I wish I could rest but the kids aren't back at school for another week!

I hear you with the shopping - I need to do a full shop since we've come back from holiday to an empty fridge, but I can't be bothered, so I get DH to shop on the way home from work - I wish he'd bring some crap back but he's too sensible dammit! Maybe today he'll think I deserve a box of Quality Street or something.

So if I've had little tiny clots, is that a bad sign? I'm assuming this is a mc, but I've read that some people bleed and the pg continues....never happened to me before. Is it worth me doing another test?

trinity1 · 03/01/2007 14:11

Hi everyone - can I join this thread? Found out I'm pregnant again on New Years Day! Here are my stats:

Me: 33
DP: 34
DD: 6 months!!!!!!!
Due - sometime in September but have an appt to see MW next week.

Can't believe I'm pregnant again - haven't got my figure back yet from having DD in June!

Congrats to all the other expectant mummies!

AnguaVonUberwald · 03/01/2007 17:10

Good luck cocoloco and Sparklygothcat, I really hope it works out well for you.

I have been having these really bad headaches for the last few days. Now I do have a heavy cold, but i have had them before without this kind of headpain.

Has anybody else been having them, could they be a symptom?

SparklyGothKat · 03/01/2007 17:45

I did go to the shops and came back with more bleeding and pain, its stopped again, but I guess it is my body saying 'slow down'

missmapp · 03/01/2007 18:44

Sparkykat and cocloco, sorry things arnt going well, i hope you can both manage to rest, but know its easier said than doen - can you set up an internet grocery shop, i do that and it saves much needed time and energy. I hope your scans go ok.

Congrats to all those whove joined the thread.

jess1996 · 04/01/2007 08:07

Congrats Trinity1.

Sorry to hear about your bleeding SparkyGothKat and CocoLoco, hope it all works out well for you both.

Angua, I have had a slight headache for the past two days. I don't know if it's pregnancy related.

My boobs are so sore at the moment, they've got much worse in the last 24 hrs. Also I felt really quite sick all day yesterday, but I'm feeling a bit better this morning.

CocoLoco · 04/01/2007 11:02

Anqua/Jess - I've always had more headaches than usual in pregnancy, I think it's hormonal, or could you be a bit dehydrated?

I'm almost definitely out, loads of bleeding, will assume I'm no longer pg unless any evidence to the contrary! Oh well, will try again in a month or so.

Hope you're ok today SparklyGothKat. Good luck everyone else

AnguaVonUberwald · 04/01/2007 18:12

cocoloco, so sorry to hear your news, good luck for next time.

missmapp · 04/01/2007 19:55

coc, so sorry to hear your news, cant say anything, just thinking of you

CocoLoco · 04/01/2007 20:26

Thank you missmap, Anqua, & Jess (hope I didn't miss anyone!). I got DH to buy some more pg tests and there's just the faintest line there, but I don't hold any hope. But the horrible news elsewhere on the site today puts such an early loss into context - I'm a bit , but I'll be back, in a couple of months, fingers crossed. Enjoy your pregnancies xx

well ended up at A&E last night as I was in so much pain. The hospital done bloods, HCG levels, and swabs, they think its an infection so have tyo go back tomorrow for the results and more blood tests. I have a scan booked for monday. Feel a lot better today, on painkillers, but I did throw up this morning so fingers crossed all is well....

AnguaVonUberwald · 05/01/2007 19:26

Congratulations poohbear and welcome to the thread.

glad you are feeling better sparklygothcat and the throwing up looks like a good sign. fingers crossed for you.

My main symptom is still very painful breasts - effecting how I lie in bed and everything. My tummy is also a bit bloated, like it is when I am on my period. But thats about it, what is anybody else experiencing?
