Could you imagine if her last name was Focker.

Vagina Focker.

cinnamontam · 04/01/2007 17:23

Frenchsmallfry · 04/01/2007 17:35

PMSL Good god, how bad is that. Well working for social services you meet all kinds, so doesn't suprise me, poor kid!

I must be addicted, you are now all in the kitche helping me cook.

Frenchsmallfry · 04/01/2007 17:36

cinnamontam · 04/01/2007 17:38

i had soup and toasted bagel for lunch - it was excellent. Good winter lunch

Frenchsmallfry · 04/01/2007 17:40

Dad made homemade turkey soup, it's the third batch since Christmas and it get's better each time.

cinnamontam · 04/01/2007 17:42

Ohhh that does sound good

twelveweekstomaternityleave · 04/01/2007 17:47

I wanted to boil up the turkey carcass and DH banned me. The house we're in is teeny, with no door onthe bloody kitchen so, to be fair the place would have been stinking. Oh well. Next time!

Oooh, this time next week I shall be in my new house! Hurray! Getting keys on Tuesday and moving in on Weds.

Frenchsmallfry · 04/01/2007 18:32

It did stink, the first time but once the stock was done it's not too bad.

largeginandtonic · 04/01/2007 19:17

Very excited for you 12weeks, a shiny new house to decorate. I love it, hate the boxes but love it when im in.

FSF that sounds lovely, yum turkey soup. Have not made soup for ages, aheva butternut squash in that makes lovely soup...mmmmm

Vagina???!!! Madness of some people. I really like Digby now, hope dh does or i might cry!

Im having a beer, one of those mini green bottles from sainsbury's it's delish

SOH i promise to hide the porn stash if you come n stay. Where are you in Lincolnshire? My mum and me for a while used to live in Thurlby a little villiage just outside Bourne, about 15 miles from Peterborough, it was very flat! with lots of ditches to fall in to!

JonahB · 04/01/2007 19:29

Evening ladies,

12weeks, you didn?t make me feel bad either. I?m well aware of my own slovenly ways. However, I?ll be joining LG&T to watch you after June and see exactly what time you make it to putting on your knickers, let alone getting dressed and fully make-up?d ?..

LG&T, I do like you kids names. Lovely and biblical. I?m a big fan of biblical. My son?s got a good old-fashioned Old Testament name and I?m likely to do the same with no. 2. I also love Hugs as a nickname. That?s fab! I love matilda too. Probably cos my close friend has called her DD by that name, Tilly for short. Really suits her.

Okay, all of you can laugh at my choices. If bump is a DD, she will be Miriam Rose (Rose after grandma) and if bump?s of the other flavour, we are thinking about Elijah. I told 2 of my work colleagues at the Christmas party and, rather rudely in my opinion, told me my choices were awful. DH & i have been having a nightmare picking boys names. We hate each other?s choices. Elijah is the only name we can both tolerate.

Oh and 12weeks, I had EXACTLY the same thought as you re Rigsby. Glad it isn?t just me who?s a shilling short

Cinnamontam ? oooh, can I join you for your borsht??? Please????? You?ve just given me a craving I didn?t know I had . My DH hates it when I make borsht. He tells me it?s like eating soil. Guess how well that went down when he told me that? In front of all my mates, whilst encouraging one of the friends to taste it, "You have to try this, come on, it tastes like soil!!"....hmmm. Men!!!

MKG · 04/01/2007 19:41

Well I ended up taking a nap, making quesadillas for lunch followed by an orange.

cinnamontam · 04/01/2007 19:54

Hey JonahB - it is a truely excellent borscht and you are very welcome to some. I'm about to go and pour a bucket of sour cream into it before getting stuck in. God i love that stuff.

Love the names Miriam and Elijah. People continue to amaze me with their rudeness. Just tell them they smell. Adults or kids - doesn't matter, they hate being told that

LupinsBigLump · 04/01/2007 20:07

What is borsht - fasinated now if someone says it tastes like dirt

Poor GGG and her family what a dreadful thing to have happen

Loving the names so far, except I am sorry Digby - it may grow on me

Waiting to see what we are having before trying to rack my brains everything I have suggested to dp he had no no'ed he likes Lily but I think it has got too popular lately but I do like it - needs to be something quite unusual as dd is called Willow Anna,

Dinner was homemade spag bol, it was yummy and I was starving as an hour before everything i had eaten all day ended up at the bottom of the loo, pudding was muller light yoghurt

Bought some Bio-Oil today, feels fab and smells really nice

Cant get emthusiastic about celeb bb, wheres the celebs???????

largeginandtonic · 04/01/2007 20:09

I love your names too Jonahb, i didnt mean for them all to be so biblical thats why Hugs is not. It just happened that way!

Waiting for Hugs to crash so i can get the choc out....ER and Green wing tonight...love it!!!

LupinsBigLump · 04/01/2007 20:11

My dd told a lady on the bus sje smelt the other day, I nearly died of embarresment, she didnt just say it once she kept on for good 3-4 mins - mummy she really stinks tho

world open up and swallow me whole

Frenchsmallfry · 04/01/2007 20:44

Oh dear Lupins, kids can be embarrasing. lg&t, dh not keen on Arietti, he is definately a tough one to crack.

Although I did just mention your dd's name Lupins, Hope you wouldn't be totaly offended if we considered stealing it? Ages yet though, will probably come up with others on the short list. DH really liked Willow, I think it sounds really pretty. Harrison, Madison and Willow. What do you all think?

God I'm stuffed after my chilli, and now baby is beating me, already becoming uncomfortable, hoping the placenta has moved up or back and that is why I am now feeling every move.

I'm intrigued too, what is this soil tasting delisious dish. If it has soured cream in it I'm sure it's wonderful. I love soured cream, can't get it over here, had to make do with fromage frais with our chilli this evening. not the same.

LupinsBigLump · 04/01/2007 20:52

Hi

I dont mind at all - she was originally going to be Isabella or Daisy, but in my morphined haze Willow seemed to suit her better, get lots of comments about it

JonahB · 04/01/2007 21:50

Cinnamon ? lols at telling my work colleagues that they smell! Maybe I should try it! Did I mention it was my boss and the bloke who reports directly to me?? However, maybe it?s deserved. When I told my boss I was pregnant, he asked if I was going to turn into ?a big whaling heifer?. (he was joking btw, he was actually v.supportive about my impending absence). He has also called me a ?vegetarian freak? before. Good job I actually quite like him??

Lupins/French, now I know that this is going to sound horrid, but borsht is cold beetroot soup. It?s a traditional Russian/Polish dish. I can understand it?s bit of an acquired taste, however, it certainly doesn?t taste like soil. It needs to be eaten with lashings of sour cream. I absolutely love it. My grandma used to feed it me on a regular basis as I was growing up.

LupinsBigLump · 04/01/2007 22:03

Thanks JonahB - think I will pass on that at the moment, problem being i hate beetroot lol, I do have a recipe for it in my soup book now you have told me what it is,

Anyone doing any exersize - I was thinking of starting aquanatal classes, just wondered if anyone else is doing anything (especially as no one has mention the exersize word lol) I just dont want to gain the 5st I did with dd,

Frenchsmallfry · 04/01/2007 22:35

What do you mean, does sex n count as excersise, there's been plenty of talk of that the last few days.

Will probably do aquanatal.

twelveweekstomaternityleave · 05/01/2007 07:38

Morning! LOL @ your DD Lupins. They don't learn tact until later, do they?

Digby has grown on me. DH asked for a MN update yesterday over dinner and I was telling him about the names. He said Digby was a really funky, cool name and I was mean for saying it reminded me of Rigsby so, "SORRY LG&T!" You and he are right.

Actually had a lovely chat last night. Went to the pub for dinner. Well, "lovely" probably is the wrong adjective... Had the, "but what if you don't fancy me any more after I poo in the birthing pool and the midwife hands you the poo seive?" conversation. He thoughtfully (?) reminded me about the poo-blocking-the-hotel-toilet incident on our first holiday (I did tell you about that didn't I?) and said if that didn't bother him, me pooing whilst giving birth to his firstborn was going to be the last thing on his mind. Also laughed and said, "I've eaten your bogeys for God's sake Mrs TYG!" This, he did, I might add, as a joke one time. "Bad in the cave!", he said, grabbing said offending snot from the edge of my nose and licking his finger. I nearly threw up! Hahaha. Must me just me with the bodily fluid hang ups. Seeing my own ear wax makes me feel sick.

What a lovely pre-breakfast story! Perhaps I should have left this one for later. ("Or not told it at all!", you cry in anguished tones!) Also had a chat about DD not wanting to be home when I give birth, so we decided I'd try to chat to her about why she's worried about it (fairly big house, she wouldn't have to be even in the next room or anything). Plus see if I can tell her how lovely it would be if she could see her sister when she was just a few minutes old instead of coming back from a friend's house the next day to be "introduced", iyswim. We'll see. I'm certainily not going to push it on her. I have a feeling she's afraid there'll be gory stuff. Passed on my hang-ups perhaps? Bad mother.

If I have an anterior placenta, (that's front isn't it? Baby was behind the placenta on the scan...), is that why I'm feeling all the movement to either side of belly and right down low - nothing in the middle? I never thought of it til you were talking about it.

Right, taking my fully made-up, high-heeled, groomed self to Cafe Nero for my caffeine fix for the day. Let's see how I compare in 5 month's time. Ciao bellas!

aprilmeadow · 05/01/2007 08:11

Morning

Have been reading through the thread but cant seem to add a message whilst at work at the mo.

Some really lovely names been mentioned for bubbas.

Going to the gym next week with my friend who has asked me to be a bridesmaid 12weeks after baby is due! She wants to slim down and i figured that if i tried to keep fit whilst pg then it might help me shift the weight post baby.

Willcatch up properly tonight. Hope you all have a good day x

JonahB · 05/01/2007 08:16

LG&T, having a paranoid moment. I hope I didn't offend you by saying Digby reminded me of Rigsby. Digby is a great name. I was laughing at my own f*ck-wittedness, rather than your name choice.

(...shuffles off in her tracksuit bottoms and fleece to go and do what she is paid to do during the working day......)

Frenchsmallfry · 05/01/2007 08:28

Morning all, off to Bordeaux today, dropping Mum and Dad at the airport, getting rid of them for 2 weeks. Yey!!!!! Then going shopping to Ikea. Ohhhhhhh How exciting, catch up tonight. Bye xxx
