I wear gloves on my hands at night with moisturizer. The funny thing is that the dog was licking my arm last night, he got to the eczema spot, looked at it and ran away. No lie.

largeginandtonic · 01/01/2007 15:05

Um no i dont have it.....was that a weird stalker moment for you then?

Excema sounds awful, my friend has a little boy who suffers, he is red raw sometimes. It used to kill me seeing him like it when he was tiny. He is growing out of it now though, i dont suppose there is any chance of you two growing out of it now?!

Lunch was crackers cheese, pickles and no KK's....

katybumps · 01/01/2007 15:11

i love scratcing my arms ,havent got excema or anything just love the feel of it

largeginandtonic · 01/01/2007 15:22

Oh you wont believe what i have done......i have huge apologies for you scootermum. I have sent the dresses (all 4) to 12daysof christmas. I looked at the wrong email address. 12days must have them and poor scooter who was despeartely waiting for them will think i have not sent them. It's too late now as the wedding was on saturday too, oh bugger, bugger. Im soooo sorry to you both. Scooter i hope you managed to find something to wear, i promised i posted them to you on the 24 hr thingy, just to the wrong address. Im hoping 12 days has them. Im such an idiot, am off to flush my head down the toilet......

MKG · 01/01/2007 15:37

When I was little my mom took us to the beach the whole family got sun poisoning and that is what they think triggered the eczema because i didn't have it before then. It normally isn't this bad, but this pregnancy is making it flare up.

lucyw19 · 01/01/2007 16:11

Pebblemum · 01/01/2007 16:27

Afternoon all, hope you are all ok, this has to be the first new years day neither Dh or myself has woken up feeling the effects of too much alcohol. I dont actually get hangovers anyway i just walk round like a zombie for a few hours but today we all woke up fine. We ended up coming home to our own beds last night instead of staying at MIL's, Dh wasnt drinking and ds1 was complaining of a headache so we thought it was easier. Did stay to see the fireworks which were great, very loud and very colourful but then dashed off home. Both boys were snoring within 10mins of getting through the door and dh and i sat up until 5am watching films and playing ds1's nintendo-i got addicted to Mario Kart and wouldnt put it down until i had won every race At 10.30 ds2 came in and pretended to give me a cup of tea then it was back to MIL's for Dinner!!

Dh has now gone to the pub to watch Portmouth play and ds1 is round our neighbours watching it so its just ds2 here with me and as he is sat stuffing his face with a lolly and watching one of the three Postman Pat dvd's he got for Christmas its nice and peaceful

On the subject of sore nipples, i hate them. Mine have been feeling as though they are on fire since almost day one of this pregnancy. They arent leaking though. Poor dh hasnt been allowed anywhere near them. The thought of breastfeeding at the moment sends shivers down my spine, they hurt so much i cant imagine letting anyone suck on them [ouch]

My libido has returned a bit, well actually i dont think it ever really left it was more to do with the fact i wanted sex at the wrong times ie when dh was at work and by the time he came home i couldnt be bothered but where he has been home for the past week its worked out perfectly (except when ds2 was ill) I expect it will all go to pot from tomorrow when he is back at work but at least he cant moan he hasnt had any

aprilmeadow · 01/01/2007 16:43

Kids all home chaos resumed, noise level increased by 410db. Im still bloody misearable though, cant shake the sick to the pit of my stomach feeling. Its like ive lost something, bloody Navy, taking dh away. Im drinking coke but would reeeeeaaallllly like a gin and tonic. Think the baby would mind?!

New Year You might all think im some weirdo point taken.......will post after the watershed...

anneme · 01/01/2007 19:10

Anyway - am feeling v boring (but quite relieved) that my boobs are not doing anything except grow. Tummy definitely pregnant now and am in maternity wear...
Had v good new year staying with friends except spent about half an hour at about 9pm last night in tears because everyone else's child was being good and going to sleep and mine wasnt (omg I'm such a bad mum etc etc...) Anyway, I am so relieved to relegate last year to history that I have got over this crisis.

BTW - I appear to have lost my pelvic floor completely AAARGH

largeginandtonic · 01/01/2007 19:11

Just a useless piece of information to add, im sat on one of those funny shaped stools that you rest your knees on and sit leant forward. Its fab, i had been suffering a bit with slouchy back and was worried the baby would be in a crappy position by the time i went in to labour (dd was and i do not want a repeat) Will obviously be sat here most of the time in the run up to the birth Highly recommend them, strange as they look.

santamum · 01/01/2007 19:36

Hi all and very Happy New Year!
Was wondering what had happened to the frocks largegandt-thought perhaps our postie who is quite an odd chap had made off with them..Got one from M and S in the end-think it was one 12yeargap pointed out ages ago actually and it did very nicely..

We had two couples from our antenatal class round last night for new year plus babies. It was very nice until it got to 3.30am, by which time I was dying to get to bed, but we had given up our room to the visitors so we were sleeping on the sofa bed in the lounge.Everyone else was in bed except one of the other husbands who was very drunk and just wouldnt take the hint that I was desperate for some sleep! And then I had to get up to go into work this morning which wasnt fun at all..But never mind-it was better showing than last year when I was asleep at midnight with my 5 day old dd on my chest anyway..Even chanced a glass of bubbles at midnight-dismayed to find it gave me heart burn you wouldnt believe...

Off for an early night now, lovely.(For a sleep I mean-nothing like largegandt's shenanigans-whatever you are eating I want some lady!)

Speak to you all tomorrow, christmas really will be over then, boo.

Night John boy(I miss the Waltons on a Sunday I really do.E4 has its charms but nothing like a sojurn to Waltons mountain to set you right)

largeginandtonic · 01/01/2007 19:55

OH santamum im sooooo sorry. Im glad you found something to wear and i hope it went ok. The dresses will have to post to whoever needs them next......i may have to send more sweetie rations to her to apolgise for the pain of sending stuff on

I got (well the children) a huge treasure chest type box full of all the old fashioned sweets from the site 'a quarter of'. It is soooo lovely, has cola cubes, sherbert pips, bubbly bubble gum, popping candy, refresher bars, golf balls, vampire teeth mmmmmmmmmmmmm I recommend sending one to yourself for essential energy...

AbbyLou · 01/01/2007 21:01

Hello everyone, there doesn't seem to be many people around that I recognise. I only started posting yesterday soo to those I haven't met helloooo and a happy new year to you all.
NYE was pretty crap here. Dh was on call for work and got called out at 11.15pm. He had to wait for a Chubb engineer to reset the alarms and didn't get in until 2.45am so I saw in the new year on my own with a glass of Schloer - woohoo! He got called out again at 6.10am and 7.45am so he was not a happy bunny. Mind you, it's earned him £200 and 3 lieu days so it's not all bad.
As far as being pregnant is concerned I am suffering really badly with sciatica which is just the worst thing I have ever had. I cannot get comfortable at night and can't walk far at all. On the plus side, my appetite has disappeared so much I am actually 2 pounds lighter than I was when I fell pregnant!!

largeginandtonic · 01/01/2007 21:16

Oooooh a newbie, hello Abbylou! I have been offline most of xmas as my dh has been home (rare occurence) but im on here alot normally.

Sorry to hear your new year was pants, just think of next year when you will be able to get sloshed and the baby will be old enough to eat real food and drink from a tippee cup!

I get sciatica too, it usually kicks in about nowish. Im hoping i may be safe this time HA HA!

JonahB · 01/01/2007 21:41

Hi Abby and welcome!

LVG&T - sorry to hear about DH going away again. That must be so tough for you and the LO's.

My NYE was "interesting". We were invited round to a friend's for dinner. Put DS upstairs to sleep, with the idea that we would wake him up and take him home when we were ready to go. This has worked in the past, but clearly not this time. We lasted about 2 1/2 hours, which isn't bad going really, but then he started to cry and wouldn't be comforted. I was worried that he would wake up my friends baby, DH was getting stressed, so we all went home at 10pm, watched Jools Holland on our own TV while sipping my 1 allocated glass of champagne. At least we tried to have a life... Serves me right for being so optimistic..

Lwatkins · 01/01/2007 22:27

Hiya!!!!
Just found this and thought i'd come and say a BIG hello and happy new year to all mummies due in may. I'm due on the 27th with my first, and i must say - christmas is a cruel time. My baby bulge has got 10 times bigger in a matter of 1 - 2 weeks!! WHY God WHY? I feel like a freakin' whale, im gonna need help getting up from the toilet soon fgs - and im only 19+1!
Anyhoo, got my 20 week scan on the 8th jan, cant wait to find out what im having and see bean wriggling about! Gonna go and grab some chocolate ice-cream before the vultures downstairs eat it all, she says whilst pondering why her body mass has doubled in the space of 10 days!!!!

largeginandtonic · 01/01/2007 22:53

Evening Lwatkins, we love new additions to our assylum, i mean thread

Ice cream mmmmm dh made a batch of cookie dough choc before he left. If i could just find a way of making Krispy Kreme ice cream life would be complete.....

I should go to bed but dont want to go be there all alone, it's bad enough being in the front room on my own. At least i have 2 out of 5 dc asleep. The twins are sleeping in the tardis tonight (but mostly yapping) DD is clutching a Bratz doll watching Bratz dvd, both the ds's #4 and #5 are sparko, but for how long i wonder?

Lwatkins · 01/01/2007 22:59

5!!! My lord you must be busy, bet it's fun though! Cookie dough, oohhhhh - massive new craving has just set in!!!

MKG · 01/01/2007 23:10
