Come one, come all it's the TTC#1 Grads thread! Everyone welcome so long as you're not put off by graphic descriptions of the lunch we couldn't keep down or the weird pregnancy symptoms we just have to share.

Our lovely ladies now span many stages of upduffedness from "woohoo BFP, now let me pee on 58 more sticks just to be sure" to "Oh my god, why don't they warn you what morning sickness is really like?" To" I need to pee 132 times a day but look at my cute scan photo!"

if you're looking for advice, banter and support, along with the occasional scan photo or rant, you are definitely in the right place.

Woop woop Starky. We've all been waiting for the day you arrived here. This has made my day. I'm sat in the canteen at work with my feet up because my legs ache like crazy having been on them since 8am...now grinning like a Cheshire cat. I must look like a crazy lady. Only three and a half hours to go.

Peaches8Posies · 19/03/2016 12:58

Just catching up.

runner im sufer from fibriods too so I'll be in same boat as you.

belle 2 week jump wow, I wish someone would say that to me i feel like November is for ever away.

leoine what a beautiful picture. Glad it went well it gives you such reassurance (til you near your next scan and start thinking of things to worry about again haha)

Just approaching the 6 weeks mark and really don't feel anything at all. Still get a little cramping after I do a bit. Iv been doing a power walk (for the want of a better word) everyday at least half an hr, just to try and keep my fitness good. Loaded with the cold so can't smell anything so no idea if iv developed a sensitivity to any smells. Boobs starting to get tender though especially at night when I take my bra off.

Danni89 · 19/03/2016 13:09

Congrats Starky!!

LillianFullStop · 19/03/2016 13:21

What a welcome! My goodness! Thanks you guys, I'm totally overwhelming with all the love! Shedding a tear of happy! Wow! Bowled over! Awwwww! 🎀

Grin feeling really lucky to be here! Shamrock

BunchOfBobs · 19/03/2016 13:59

Omg omg yay Starky huge congrats!! so pleased for you!!! I just let out an audible gasp of delight when I saw you'd joined. Cue lots of "what's up?!" From the people I'm with.

19 weeks today with a corgette/grapefruit. I'm feeling huge and tummy is so tight and sensitive, think I'm having a growth spurt.

2 more sleeps until my anomaly scan.

Runner05 · 19/03/2016 14:07

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!! Stark!!!!! You're here, so excited for you!!!!!!!! What's your EDD so I can add you to the list Grin

Canters premature delivery is a common side effect of a fibroid the size of mine. My consultant will be actively monitoring Potato from 28 weeks and could decide to deliver any time after then if the she thinks he's not doing as well as he should or if it looks likely the fibroid will cause one of half a dozen other dangerous side effects.

Leonie yup, I'm pretty sure half my baby weight is junk food too Blush

Aww Peaches how big are yours? Was very worried when I first found out but kinda chilled out about it now.

Glad it's not just me with the back pain (not the I want any of you lovely ladies to be hurting)

So I managed to get OH into a few more baby shops today and we have agreed on a pram and we're going to buy a Moses basket in the Mamas and Papas sale today Grin feeling much happier Smile

runner This is my 2nd pregnancy (is was naughty and joined the wrong thread 😆) my GP could never feel mine previously even and told me not to worry about it but I ended up having an emergency c-sec last time round. The next morning the consultant came to discuss with me the fibriods issue. To cut a long story short he said it was main reason I didn't progressee as I should have was the fibriod which was huge and would have stopped a vaginal delivery and that any Future pregnancy would require a scheduled section.

Only issue I had, I was actually induced as over due so don't stress too much about complications. My consultant certainly wasn't phased about me having a second baby.

Runner05 · 19/03/2016 15:12

Well, good to hear someone else's experience Peaches Smile my consultant isn't too worried about the fibroid getting in the way as its at the top. She's more worried about it being stupidly big Confused

Have to admit I'm happy about all the extra scans I'm going to get lol.

I've just been a very naughty girl and bought a shiny new cosatto giggle 2 travel system and a mamas and papas Moses basket and stand. They were both on sale so OH agreed. We did save over £200 so feeling very smug Grin

I'm freaking out- forgot I was pregnant today and ate a toasted Brie sandwich for lunch Blush I am overwhelmed with guilt!

firstgo1984 · 19/03/2016 15:55

Would that count as cooked brie?

RaeSkywalker · 19/03/2016 16:00

It was definitely runny first but not steaming hot when it was given to me. I am so so upset with myself! DH is out until about midnight so I'm just sitting on my own obsessing.

LaraG13 · 19/03/2016 16:02

Welcome starky!!

rae don't panic, if it was a toasted sandwich it was probably cooked Brie which is fine according to NHS. Even if it wasn't, don't worry. It's done now and the chances of anything bad happening from that one bit of cheese are very small I'm sure. Women must constantly make little mistakes and eat things it's preferable not to in pregnancy.

LaraG13 · 19/03/2016 16:04

Runny sounds cooked to me rae!!

RaeSkywalker · 19/03/2016 16:05

Thanks Lara. Will mention it to the midwife in an couple of weeks to voice the guilt if nothing else! I can't believe it- I would never normally choose any kind of cheese sandwich, I just really fancied one today Sad

RaeSkywalker · 19/03/2016 16:05

That should be "in a couple of weeks"

Runner05 · 19/03/2016 16:50

Rae on several occasions now I've forgotten an eaten runny fried eggs in cafes. No idea if they were lion marked. I really think the chances of anything coming of it are minuscule unless you're eating it on a daily basis.

Just went to pick up the Moses basket I bought in the mamas and papas sale. It's so pretty but it was a bit surreal taking it out at home to look at it. I felt like a child playing with a dolls toy Blush OH came over and gave me a big hug. Can't wait to pick up the pram next week.

RaeSkywalker · 19/03/2016 17:24

Thanks Runner!

Moses basket sound exciting. Must make it all seem very real!

Planeteer · 19/03/2016 18:15

Crikey, need to play catch up again, but YES!! Starky!! Hugh and Doreen finally had their glorious union! So chuffed for you. Welcome to the madness Smile

Laurenrl · 19/03/2016 18:18

Don't worry Rae! I've had cravings for ham which some places say are a no no (I think I only want it coz I can't have it) and I've had it once when I forgot I shouldn't and once (and beat myself up about it) when there was literally nothing else available that I can eat (big Mayo hatred, only non Mayo options and was with my boss who didn't know so couldn't really say I needed to go elsewhere)

I'm sure it's fine as long as people don't ignore things all the time.

I mean the biggie is always alcohol yet when my friend was pregnant she was told that a glass of wine a week would help her stress levels! It's all precautionary and you won't do it again I'm sure :)

Planeteer · 19/03/2016 18:26

Rae I reckon runny is ok. DH (who moonlighted as a cheesemonger a few years ago and knows his shit about fromage) agrees. Try not to worry. I refuse to believe that pregnant women in France have successfully abstained from delicious cheese since time immemorial. Also now I want brie. Damn!

Runner it must feel really surreal to have the Moses basket. Really happy you convinced OH to go shopping though, I can't wait for trimester 2 to get cracking on the buying of stuff!

9+3 here and have been v lightly spotting again for a few days on and off. Have booking in on thurs and will mention it to MW then but otherwise am trying not to panic. Roll on dating scan - really want to see if Pancake's ok!

Nevlet · 19/03/2016 18:29

No hope of catching up on the thread so will jump in with congratulations for all the bfps/scans we have all been having!

I will try harder to keep up...

RaeSkywalker · 19/03/2016 18:45

Thanks Lauren and Planeteer (and your DH). I feel a bit better now- talked to DH on the phone and he's helped put it into perspective for me as well. Obviously it's not ideal but I don't drink etc so it's not like I've committed multiple 'naughties'.

I do think I need to write a list down of everything I can't have and make sure I read it every day. I'm usually really on top of anything like this but my memory has been terrible for the last couple of weeks Blush

Runner05 · 19/03/2016 18:45

Lauren hang on, no ham, what? I missed that one. Are you sure we shouldn't eat ham???? Shock
Stupid sandwiches at work are driving me crazy. There's Mayo in everything!

So is anyone else still watching the crazy dog lady thread? The text they received this morning was a classic.

Also, if anyone wants a really good laugh look on the "I woke my DH up at 4am this morning" thread in classics. It's hysterical I'm the king of tits!! lol
