Thread #3 - TTC#1 Grads thread. No TMI is too much, no question too stupid!

Come one, come all it's the TTC#1 Grads thread! Everyone welcome so long as you're not put off by graphic descriptions of the lunch we couldn't keep down or the weird pregnancy symptoms we just have to share.

Our lovely ladies now span many stages of upduffedness from "woohoo BFP, now let me pee on 58 more sticks just to be sure" to "Oh my god, why don't they warn you what morning sickness is really like?" To" I need to pee 132 times a day but look at my cute scan photo!"

if you're looking for advice, banter and support, along with the occasional scan photo or rant, you are definitely in the right place.

Congrats leonie! So excited/scared for mine on Monday now!!

Pinklily1 · 18/03/2016 16:38

Pleased all went well Leonie, and that there is only one baby in there! It is so amazing seeing baby on the screen.

Good luck for your scan on Sunday Lara too.

I don't think I've felt any proper movement yet then. I'm excited for that to start happening.

Given there are so many of us now I'm convinced at least one of us must be expecting twins!

Also, the mamas and papas Easter sale started online today, just in case anyone wants anything.

Runner05 · 18/03/2016 18:32

Just let the kids hear Potato's heart beat after they asked too earlier. They listened for a second and then left the room without saying a word to play their game. I'm feeling slightly irritated by their reaction. If they don't care why ask? Hmm

So much to catch up on! Congrats leonie, Pepper is already adorable!

Welcome jam, lovely to see you here.

Runner05 · 19/03/2016 06:48

17 weeks today, I now have an orange sized Potato Grin only three weeks until I'm half way (thank god!).

Is anyone else getting a really bad back and tummy muscle pain? I don't think it's round ligament pain in my tummy because it seen to be top to bottom rather than the normal across the lower bit pain which I also have

Anyone else want to tell me their EDD fir the list? I think we still have a few people missing Smile

Hello everyone. I haven't been on here for ages so trying to catch up!
I had my first scan last week thinking I was 11 weeks but turns out I am 2 weeks ahead so I am currently 14+3. EDD 14th September.
Off maternity clothes shopping today with my mum and to have a good look at baby stuff!
I must look back at this thread now to catch up on everything.

Pinklily1 · 19/03/2016 08:07

Morning ladies

How is everyone today?

Welcome back Belle. 2 weeks is an impressive jump forward!

I've not had those feelings Runner. Maybe just stretching over your whole belly as baby grows? An orange sized potato made me chuckle!

Runner05 · 19/03/2016 08:42

Little you and Soda are sharing a day Smile

Scary to think that in just 5 months some of us are going to start to pop. (Or 3 if my Potato decides to turn up early)

Are any of your OHs really reluctant to start baby shopping? I want to get it all done early as I'm worried about complications. OH gets fidgety every time I start looking at stuff and sadly since my mum is now not at all with it and my friends fell out with me at the end of last year, I don't have anyone else to go baby shopping with. Grumble, grumble, I want to be able to dance around the baby shops getting excited.

Morning everyone

Runner - yeah I'm getting quite bad lower back pain where my coccyx are, really uncomfortable on the train. Go shopping runner ignore him, it's ace!

Pink - glad work is ok for you! I'm guna try and work up to two weeks before due date as that seems to be the norm in the firm. Have you thought about how much time you're going to take off for mat leave? I've had ten months strongly hinted to me a few times....

Lovely scan leonie!

So I'm 16+5 today and have gained five pounds! Shock I'm about to have a bacon sandwich so not fussed but just wondered how much everyone else was gaining?

X

Pyxie · 19/03/2016 08:59

Runner could you compromise with OH and just go looking at baby stuff to get an idea of what you want/need/like? Then you could always order online if needs be.

My EDD is 8th Nov.

I'm out on a works leaving do today, hoping nobody will notice that I'm not drinking!

IndiX · 19/03/2016 09:02

Shelb and runner I've started to get bad coccyx/lower back pain, I'm only 10+4 but it's really uncomfy in bed especially.
Does anyone recommend any pregnancy pillows? I might invest this week.

leoniethelioness · 19/03/2016 09:05

I think I'm about five pounds heavier than pre pregnancy because of all the rubbish I've been eating these last few weeks. I'm trying to make better choices now as I'm about a stone overweight so don't need much extra weight on my bones!

I'm hoping to take two weeks' leave at the start of September then start maternity leave two weeks before my due date. I'd like to go back to work on 1 April if DH will take that month as SPL (assuming no complications with birth or baby, etc).

LaraG13 · 19/03/2016 09:20

Morning all! Hope you're all feeling well. I don't feel too nauseous this morning and it's amazing to feel half normal!

belle, enjoy your maternity shopping!

Beautiful scan leonie! Thanks for all the well wishes for mine tomorrow. Great you've booked your early scan in canters!

Yay for your orange-sized potato runner!

I've put on about 2lbs so far which will be down to the fact that I need to eat every half hour to get through the day!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 19/03/2016 11:22

Helloooooooo! It happened! Hurrah! Except now I'm terrified that it's all pretend and af will arrive this week! Am I still allowed on this thread? I am having all of the available emotions! 🙊🙈🙉

Laurenrl · 19/03/2016 11:34

STARKEY!!! Yay so happy for you!!! I still feel like that 12 weeks in! You'll be fine xx

Peaches8Posies · 19/03/2016 11:41

HELLLOOOOO starky!! Congratulations 😀😀🙌🙌 wishing you a happy healthy 8 months. Xx

Sodasoda · 19/03/2016 12:03

Morning everyone!

Ooh belle - EDD twins Smile

Lovely scan leonie!

I was weighed yesterday at consultant appointment and I haven't put on a pound since I got pregnant! I'm 14+3. I'm absolutely shocked. I think the scales were wrong although I had just managed to go to the loo for first time in a week so maybe that was it I've been in maternity jeans this wear and I'm definitely bigger! Don't know what's going on. I could have just lost all muscle mass from no gym going. They didn't seem that concerned. But I'm seeing it as a green light to tuck into some creme eggs - on offer at the moment!

Hope everyone is doing something nice this weekend. We're just having a quiet one which is very welcome!

Sodasoda · 19/03/2016 12:04

Hello starky and congratulations! We don't know each other - I'm an imposter! Grin

Canters15 · 19/03/2016 12:11

Wow belle two weeks is a hell of a jump! Well into the second trimester!

runner why are you planning on potato coming so early?

starky I am bloody made up for you mate. I think feeling ALL of the emotions is normal. I go from ecstatic to terrified to in awe of my fanjo! It does start to feel a bit more real once you've officially missed AF.

shelbTa · 19/03/2016 12:19

Yeyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!! So pleased you stark!!!! This is great news!
