Come one, come all it's the TTC#1 Grads thread! Everyone welcome so long as you're not put off by graphic descriptions of the lunch we couldn't keep down or the weird pregnancy symptoms we just have to share.

Our lovely ladies now span many stages of upduffedness from "woohoo BFP, now let me pee on 58 more sticks just to be sure" to "Oh my god, why don't they warn you what morning sickness is really like?" To" I need to pee 132 times a day but look at my cute scan photo!"

if you're looking for advice, banter and support, along with the occasional scan photo or rant, you are definitely in the right place.

Feeling quite sick again today and have been given a impossible job to finish by the end of the day. Want to cry. I'm supposed to be being eased back in but it's gone from "we don't have any work for you" for two days to "please do this task that should take three days, by the end of today Sad
Only 20 weeks until my holiday kicks in and I can stick two fingers up at them!

OP posts:
Morwenna1 · 24/02/2016 14:18

That's crap Runner. Tell them it's going to be late as you had your head down the loo most of the day!

Runner05 · 24/02/2016 14:47

Hmm... Just had an absolute breakdown to my boss who told me this was supposed to be a simple job to ease me in and the deadline isn't today.

My assignment manager in the email giving me the work said specifically that it had to be done today and it was needed for tomorrow. Angry

She's now emailed me saying they'll review what I've done tomorrow morning and if it "Has" to take until the end of tomorrow then she'd rather it was done right than quickly.

I'm not cut out to work with people Hmm

Oh runner I really feel for you. Just remember it's only work. Do the best you can over this period and you'll soon be on leave with your little one. I've just been told in the last few weeks that I'm being made redundant, which has been terrible timing. So I'll be looking for work while upduffed which will be interesting...

Runner05 · 24/02/2016 18:44

Oh no Lara that's awful Sad

i shall try not to take offence runner

Pinklily1 · 24/02/2016 18:47

Mor, re weight gain. I lost 9lbs with sickness and am still 7lbs lighter than pre-pregnancy. I haven't worried about it as I'm just pleased to be eating an OK amount again. I need to read up on how much you are meant to gain really.

Saying that, I've struggled with food again since the weekend. My sense of smell seems to have gone through the roof and everything seems to smell horrible other than bagels, bacon sandwiches and apples!

Pinklily1 · 24/02/2016 19:00

Sorry to hear that Lara. What's the job market like at the minute in relation to what you do?

Runner05 · 24/02/2016 19:18

Aww Pink that sucks.
I've gone a bit sickly again and pretty much everything turns my stomach except cucumber and carrots Hmm

Posted on FB about my Doppler today and had one of my friends immediately post that I shouldn't use it as a substitute for a midwife appointment and I I won't find the heart beat every time... Really, you felt the need to tell me that, you have met me, you do know how much I research anything I'm even remotely interested in Confused

Wondered why guys were so quiet! Place marking!

Pinklily1 · 24/02/2016 19:55

I know, I thought I was getting better but seem to have had a bit of an about turn Confused

Hi Shelb, how are you?

LillianFullStop · 24/02/2016 20:34

I really want an early scan as I've had a bit of spotting today Sad. Too early really at 6 weeks so I will book a private scan at 7-8 weeks. Otherwise I'd need a GP appointment just to get a referral to get an EPU appointment or go to A&E. They really don't make it easy do they?

Pinklily1 · 24/02/2016 21:26

Thanks Lillian. Has it stopped now?

LaraG13 · 24/02/2016 21:35

Sorry you're suffering again pink. The job market isn't thriving but it's better than a couple of years ago so I'm trying not to panic. I had a great maternity package at my current place though, which i'd been banking on.

Hope you're ok lillian. Try not to panic and remember spotting is extremely normal.

Your tiredness doesn't sound fun planet! When should I expect all this to kick in? 5 weeks tomorrow and nothing to speak of yet except a little cramping and some big sore boobs!

Laurenrl · 24/02/2016 21:44

Lillian, my epu is self referral can you check if there's any self referrals around you (in in London and there's 4 options, 2 self referral within a 30 min bus ride so it's easier than most places)

Runner05 · 24/02/2016 22:13

Hope you're ok Lillian please try not to worry. Spotting is normal and as long as it isn't heavy and accompanied by a lot of pain it's unlikely to be anything to worry about.

OP posts:
Planeteer · 24/02/2016 22:39

Lara sorry to hear about job news, what a total pain. Keeping everything crossed for a smooth and not stressful transition into a new role somewhere else.

Lillian I was where you are yday. If you can, try not to worry (I know it's practically impossible). I second Lara about the self referral EPU though if you're really concerned. I went to a walk in clinic yday and even though I'd been sent by a gp they didn't ask about any sort of referral. Hope it stops soon Thanks

Planeteer · 24/02/2016 22:41

Sorry, Lauren, not Lara re EPU. Shuts up and goes to sleep Blush

LillianFullStop · 24/02/2016 23:37

Hi pink yes it's stopped and wasn't much at all. Gave me a scare esp since I was on knicker patrol anyway and it just reminded me of my mc last year Confused

Thanks everyone I'm trying not to worry as it would just make things worse - told DH to please talk to the bean and tell it to stay put in there.

Thanks Lara and planet I'll look up self referral EPUs tomorrow. Hope your spotting has stopped too.

Runner05 · 25/02/2016 07:47

Glad the spotting stopped lillian hopefully in a couple of days with no spotting you'll be able to relax a bit.

I've had a delightful morning started by running to the bathroom to be sick again Sad I've text my boss to ask if I can work from home as I don't think I'll survive the car journey to work today. Waiting for the answer but OH has decided he's not taking me regardless and headed off.

I just want to get back to feeling normal and being able to act normally but but my body has other ideas. The next milestone when people say things go back to normal is 16 weeks (about 2 weeks time) I think that if I don't feel "normal" by then I'm going to have to live with the fact that this is it for my whole pregnancy. Sad

OP posts:
Runner05 · 25/02/2016 07:59

Oh wonderful, boss has said yes to working from home but now wants a meeting with me to discuss how I'm "feeling".
I'm feeling pregnant and nauseous and I want to go to sleep.

I have a horrible feeling I'm going to have to get myself signed off again to prevent her insisting I work reduced hours which I wouldn't be able to live on.

OP posts:
shelbTa · 25/02/2016 08:35

Morning,

Sorry to hear youre sick again runner.

Pink are you bad too?

Ah Lara that must be really stressful with your job, what do you do?

Well I've had three hours sleep! This insomnia is bad. Work is going to be tough today!

Think I might have a little bump developing now! Still in normal clothes though.

X

shelbTa · 25/02/2016 08:46

Also bunch - I remember you chased up your blood results, how soon after was that? I'm tempted to chase mine. Hope you're ok xx

Pinklily1 · 25/02/2016 08:53

Morning all

Shelb, I am ropey again. I was feeling better last week but this week I'm struggling with food. Everything seems to smell repulsive and so I don't want to eat anything!

I think I've got a little pot too, although nothing too noticeable. I'm going to look at some maternity clothes this weekend.

Just in case people haven't seen - there is a sale on at mamas and papas, so furniture etc is on offer.

Runner05 · 25/02/2016 09:09

I'm envious of your little bumps. I'm struggling to do up my shoes at the moment Shock
