This one seems to be the winner, and I can't seem to come up with anything more inventive, sorry!

Annie I'm sure you'll be fine. At least my labour was fast and I could have asked for an epidural but wanted to do it as naturally as possible. I was just unlucky that Ethan turned into an op position, I really think that was what caused the pain to be worse. It's all over now though and was so worth it.

wilkie - o wow o wow! you had him 9 days early! I am so jealous! are you back at home already? thought at one point you were going to do an online blog the whole way through your labour. Oh, I've gone all emotional. I want a baby too.
Right thats it I've had enough. DP won't know whats hit him later on......

My sisters tip for changing a boys nappy is to put a bit of tissue or cotton wool on the tip of his willy, apparently its the cold which makes them pee everywhere! x

Jodie - Ethan is sooooo cute! In number 4 he looks like a little DJ! am going to look at tons of baby photos now, to raise hormone levels and bring mine on! x

Hi all. Looks like loads has been going on since I've been away, looking forward to reading through everyone's stories when i get the time!

Freddie Christopher arrived on Monday (39+3wks). After spending hours in early labour all day Sunday, he finally made his appearence at 3am Monday morning weighing 7lbs 10. I managed the whole thing with just gas & air which was really hard work and the first thing i said after he'd been born was 'next time i'm having the drugs'! He had a bit of jaundice and so we ended up spending another 3 days in hospital which was really annoying when i really couldn't wait to get home. We are home now though and both fine. Will try and do links of a couple of photos soon.

Good luck to all of you still expecting

Just a quickie to let you know that Benjamin William Ypres Lewis arrived on Thursday 11th January, 9 days early weighing 8lb 8oz

Unfortunately I had a placental abruption 5 hours after being induced and was rushed to theatre for an emergency c-section under general anaesthetic so neither me nor DH witnessed the birth, but we're counting our blessings as we were told yesterday if I hadn't already been in hospital we may well have lost Ben, which just doesn't bear thinking about

I'll try and post some photos when I've uploaded them to our web site in the next couple of days.

Congrats to the other new mums too, and good luck to all those still waiting, especially those of you who are overdue

Loubie & Ben xx

Hi all,

I've not been able to long on regularly for quite a while so I've not kept up with these threads. It's lovely to see the bumps arriving safely after all the worries we had at the start.

Just wanted to report the safe arrival of our little boy on the 14th, weighing in at 9lb 1oz. He is beautiful and very laid back, just what we need with number two! Our two year old daughter is great with him already.

Good luck to everyone still waiting and congratulations to those getting to grips with their newborns
