This one seems to be the winner, and I can't seem to come up with anything more inventive, sorry!

How about:
Due Jan '07 part 8: my bun is cooked.
Due Jan '07 part 8: where is my baby?
Due Jan '07 part 8: bored now
Due Jan '07 part 8: bring it on
Due Jan '07 part 8: ahh push it - push it real good
Due Jan '07 part 8: happy birthday!
Due Jan '07 part 8: even royal mail isnt this late
Due Jan '07 part 8: piles of fun

Thanks for the advice re inductions. I think i will hold off asap as I am sure the EDD they gave me was too early. Have MW tomorrow so will discuss indepth.
I've been using vitamin E oil down there for a couple of weeks now, dunno if it will do anything, I've also been slapping it on my belly and stretch marks - where obviously its done nothing. Smells nice though!

I quite like
Due Jan '07 part 8: can someone tell my baby it's January already?!
and
Due Jan '07 part 8: ahh push it - push it real good

Hi everyone, just gatecrashing from the June thread to invite anyone who's interested to join the all-new, cross-thread ante-natal fitness club. Appreciate that many of you may consider it an achievment to be able to waddle across the room by now but you might have precious info you could share with the rest of us. Quick intro:

Some of us on the June thread wanted to get together and give each other some support and motivation for a bit of exercise in pregnancy, and, not wanting to disturb others on our thread who just wanted to chill out in peace, thanks, thought it'd be a good idea to set up a new thread for everyone on the ante-natal threads, all welcome.

We're not talking marathon training or anything here, but it would be great to have a place where we could share our experiences of exercise in all stages of pregnancy, swap tips and links, and gently motivate each other when we might be flagging a bit. I for one am in serious need of it, having spent xmas doing nothing more strenuous than chewing on quality streets.

So, who's up for it? Step right this way!

Lizzzombie · 10/01/2007 17:37

Trying to be positive about exercise during pregnancy. But I spent the first 3 months totally exhausted and the 2nd three months completely knackered and now in the last 3 months fundamentally drained of all energy. Have done no exercise since I got pregnant - unless you count bending over the loo frequently!

The only advice I can give is hopefully your heartburn and nausea will be so severe it will stop you eating so you wont gain any weight at all, in fact once the baby is born you will probably have lost weight.
Not a very positive posting! oops.

tigersmom · 10/01/2007 19:05

lizzzombie - lol at your post I sympathise with that! with my first pg I did taekwondo (without contact of course) until the bump got in the way. I still gained 4 stone! this time round I've done nothing but dash to the loo, chase after ds and tried to combat heartburn - and the result...only gained half the weight!!

Galmum · 10/01/2007 22:08

Think I might be in early labour or I've lost bladder control!!! Some of the fore waters may have broken.

Other signs are:

  • I feel weird! Something is going on.
  • Face is flushed
  • Have been for 2 poos in the last couple of hours (sorry if TMI)
  • Few contractions (maybe BH)

Really not sure - I'm off to have a shower and get into bed for a rest. I'll let you know if it's a false alarm.

PS last time my waters broke big style with meconium in them so there was no doubt!!

Trying not to get too excited - don't want to put baby off.

OMG is this really it?? I'm 37+4 weeks today!!

Lizzzombie · 10/01/2007 22:11

Quick - Galmum - go shave your legs etc just in case. Fingers crossed everything is ok! x

JodieG1 · 10/01/2007 22:16

Hope you manage to get some rest Galmum

Dh is seriously pissing me off at the moment, ds is ill with a temp of 104 (just given him some more calpol) and he keeps calling down. I've had to run up and down the stairs about 6 times now because he's in the middle of playing some stupid pc game I swear he thinks that's more real sometimes, really annoyed. At least he's just gone up to him now after I stomped down the stairs and slammed the door (childish I know ) Poor ds though, seems he's caught what I had as he was sick earlier on too he's only just gotten over a chest infection as well.

annieapple7 · 10/01/2007 22:28

Fingers crossed for you Galmum, sounds like something is happening. I am at 37 + 4 too I think, but nothing doing down there.

I like "Please come out before you get any bigger"

"Or raspberry leaf check..." etc for a new thread. We are a chatty lot.

Thinking of all you girls overdue and sending you opening/flowering style vibes.

Poor Jodie - your DH sounds a bit like mine - we obviously do this pregnancy thing so effortlessly that they assume we are superwomen....mind you, all the running up and down stairs could bring it on...

I mucked out two stables today and emptied four heavy wheelbarrows (with a punctured tyre!) today, a task I have delegated in the last few months, but thought all the straining might bring it on...

but nope.

FFS - it's 5.50am and I have had about 2 hours sleep. It is SO windy here, half my fence has collapsed in the night. Have just got up and had some tea and toast (have rediscovered my appetite) and am debating whether or not to go back to bed

My mum is coming today to help me blitz the house - just hope I have the energy.

Galmum - has anything progressed? Will be so in the nicest possible way if it has

Any other insomniacs out there?

vinorouge · 11/01/2007 07:39

Morning all!

I like the 'raspberry leaf:check etc title', was most upset last night when my pineapple was rock hard on one half and bruised beyond eating on the other side. How's that gonna encourage this LO out ?

Lizz - any signs yet ??? ZILCH for me.

Amyclaire - don't think I've had any BH either. I have had the same thought as you about xmas being a fixed date, at least we can count how many sleeps until xmas and birthdays but these babies just want to keep us on tenterhooks. I keep telling mine it needs to pop out cos life will be so much better once it hits the outside world. It must be doubting that !!!

Wilkie - any luck with sleep ?? I have banned myself from daytime naps this week as it seems to let me sleep 5 hours in a row overnight. Does mean I'm very quiet in the evening. Feel like I am watching way too much tv at the moment.

My mum is coming today too but she is under strict instructions that if anything happens she can stay with me until DH gets home but then CLEAR OFF !!

I know someone who gave birth yesterday 3 weks early after her fortnightly massage. This has happened for all 3 of her babies....if I ever decide to go through this again I might start fortnightly massages to try and combat this annoying waiting.

looshkin · 11/01/2007 08:24

Still nothing, a neighbour as just popped in to see if any baby yet and said 'are you sure its only one', I am sooooo massive now and over due and fed up. i too like the raspberry leaf check title as this is currrenlty my day!!!!

Fingers crossed galum will be most but of course v . 2 happy pass on happy birthday to dh today (card is in the post) however no excuse to be neglectful of you!!! you still need toberlone.

Off to be grumpy and big

Loosh

Come on Galmum, fancy not posting and updating us, anyone would think she had more improtant things on her mind Hope all is well xx
Thanks Loosh, he's actually gone in to the new place to spend a day with one of the partners, so gives me peace and quiet (other than ds) to bake him a cake. He had a leaving do from his old place last night, so of course I BHd all evening, wondered whether to text him to tell him not to drink. Naturally, came to nothing, so just as well I didn't!
Loosh your neighbour! Why do people imagine it's acceptable to say things like that, let alone the fact that they think they're being funny. Nobs.
ds was up half the night with the weather, it was blooming wild here, but we haven't lost a fence like you Wilkie. Anyone else with any major damage?
Jodie - get well vibes to your lo, get off the computer vibes to your dh!! Are you feeling better yourself - is it safe to send labour vibes to you yet?

Galmum · 11/01/2007 09:17

Think this really might be it!! It's all very surreal.

Dh is hoovering! Had a show in the middle of the night - still losing bits (nice!) Managed to grab some sleep last night.

I'm either getting strong bh or it's contractions starting - there seems to be more of a pattern now - dh about to phone hospital again. They may want me to come in for a quick check, if I think some of the waters have broken but so pleased that they did n't want me to be checked out last night.

This is really so bizarre. Feel v.calm. You think I'd know for definate, this being my second!

Lizzzombie · 11/01/2007 09:58

This is so exciting, its like Galmum is going to post any moment, "yes, baby's head is crowning....etc"

40+4 today and not a dicky bird let alone a baby, I'm beginning to think maybe its a phantom pregnancy and my syptoms are just really real! If DP wasnt so ill and full of cold at the moment, I would have jumped on him last night - and tried the Wilkie Way to bring this on. Its just so boring being practially housebound.
I have the MW today, and I am going to ask for a week more before we try the sweep as I am sure they gave me a date which is too early (as I know exactly which date we had our 'happy accident' happen) which equals a baby due in mid not early January.
Jodie - I sympathise. We have PS2 issues in our flat. DP is only allowed to play it when I am not around, I told him I don't find it an attractive quality in a man, he's often up till stupid o'clock playing it. Are you able to sabotage any of his top scores etc? Maybe that will put him off?!

theUrbanDryad · 11/01/2007 10:23

i totally think you should go for the "UD's had hers but LTH hasn't" not that i'm self-obsessed or anything!

good luck Galmum! hope all goes well for you and you have a nice easy pain-free labour!

can whoever updates the list next put Zac's name on? everyone else has their LO's name on there except us we feel left out!

anyway, here's hoping some babies pop out sooon!!! xxx

Hattie2 · 11/01/2007 11:04

Morning all - a bit of progress here at last! Had appt this morning and am already 3cm dilated (hooray!), so all the pains and twinges over the last few days have been doing something. MW did a sweep as well and is hopeful things will happen in the next 48hrs - if not am booked in for induction on Monday morning.

Lizzz - like you I calculated my EDD in mid Jan originally (and am 100% sure of the dates) and it was only brought forward to 5/1 at the scan. I was going to ask to delay a sweep / induction etc but when they said I already 3cm I thought it was worth going for it asap.

Fingers crossed for anyone else overdue.

Hope all well with Galmum.

MerlinsBeard · 11/01/2007 11:09

popping in for news on LTH and dragonhart and some i can never remember till i look at their names...am getting all excited now!!

Sorry for those of u i don't know. its not that i don't care its that i recall those ppl from the first thread

MerlinsBeard · 11/01/2007 11:11

lol @ the new thread names!

I like the royal mail one

How about even Royal Mail would have delivered LTh her baby by now

2Happy · 11/01/2007 11:13

Hey, MoM, how are you keeping?
DH has had hers, her post isn't far down the page, but LTH hasn't had hers yet
xx

jessddibs · 11/01/2007 11:58

Hi all! And congrats to those who have already popped! My due date is tommorow and I have a consultant appointment today as a routine check up as have been on bp tabs since new years eve. She said that she would do an internal today...so am keeping everything crossed that the news is that I am ripe and ready and not told that it's NOT READY! AAAAAAAHHHHHHH! This waiting game is driving me mad! The answerphone has been switched on 24hrs a day now for the last week as people do not stop calling to see if theres any news!?!? Yes actually I had my baby weeks ago and forgot to tell you!!! (I really think my hormones are raging with my bp!)I think it's probably best not to talk to anyone at the mo...! Well good luck all and VERY STRONG labour inducing vibes being beamed out to you all!!!!!!

Jess DUE TOMMOROW!
