Thanks I'll have a wee look where I live our shopping centre is pretty minimal so been really difficult to get anything think I'll need to do most online

sambababy · 20/02/2016 11:11

Loulou how are you finding it with you knowing the sex and OH not? Must be hard not to slip up!

Those looking for neutral clothes, Boots had a gorgeous 3 sleep suit set in a pale minty green with little stars.**

We were supposed to be team yellow, told the sonographer we didn't want to know, but long story short, we think we do. So now I feel a bit blah! I didn't get the birth surprise I wanted and loved last time around, but I also didn't get that "ta dah!" moment at the scan. I think we're going to have to do another scan just to confirm.

LouLou030783 · 20/02/2016 11:25

Samba it's been ok but it's only been just under s fortnight so we shall see I've bought some blue items and I've hidden them in my daughters wardrobe cause OH won't go in there, it may get harder as the pregnancy progresses especially due to the fact boys names are one thing we can't agree on Hmm

mrsmugoo · 20/02/2016 11:57

Loulou I thought Asda always did multipacks of plain white babygros and vests as a year round staple? I second what another poster had suggested about checking online and doing click and collect. Sainsburys, Tesco and morrisons do them as well but Asda was always my favourite.

Mothercare is another option but pricier.

iamdivergent · 20/02/2016 12:00

Next have some plain white ones in their sale section atm - 5 pack for £9. They have the built in mitts too.

I've got all my sleepsuits from next this time round, saved a fortune in their sales. He has 15 newborn and 15 0-3 lol

TomboyGirl · 20/02/2016 12:31

Hey all Smile! Been a while.

Thanks for the new thread 'nerhagag'

TomboyGirl · 20/02/2016 12:39

Thanks nerhagag.

Update: Had my 25 week appointment on 18th Feb. Baby fine, already head down it seems. Don't know whether (s)he is still swimming around so the downward position is only temporary...

Need to find good maternity bras....suggestions anyone? Mothercare didn't have much of a selection or the appropriate sizes. The milk urns are getting bigger by the day Grin.

Anyone else doing yoga?

LouLou030783 · 20/02/2016 12:44

Mrsmugoo went to Asda on my day off and they had one little section of white and none in first size/0-3 I maybe just went on a bad day my friend thought they normally have a selection of white and lemon

Grapefruitforever · 20/02/2016 12:51

Yes, doing some yoga once a week tomboy and really enjoying it - it's nice to see other people at different stages of pregnancy too. Are you doing some?
Also the same lady runs a birth preparation class smiler which DH and I are signed up to - not sure what it involves but hopefully will be useful! NCT too, mostly in the hope of meeting some people in a similar position

nehagarg · 20/02/2016 14:04

Just bought each of 5 pack plain white vests and sleepsuits from Asda. Once the baby is born and we know what size he needs, DH can always run downstairs and get some. Joys of having Asda on your door step. Smile

Smiler - I have only signedup for the NHS ones. So an Active Birthing class in April and a Parentcraft class around the same time for both of us. The breastfeeding one is walk in so I'll go when I have time.

tomboy I've got a couple of carriwell bras. They are really comfy and work over several cup sizes. I got them from the 'from here to maternity' website but I think they have their own too.
Not doing any birth classes, didn't bother last time so really don't see the point this time!

earlgreydrinker · 20/02/2016 19:42

homeboddy I do get eczema. Last time though it cleared up completely. This time it's horrendous, but only really bad in the last month. I have used some hydrocortisone which I was told was ok but it hasn't done much. I've been told to get some coconut oil so going to try that next!

tomboy I have seen a good selection of bras in jo Jo maman Bebe so heading there next week. Also I do yoga but go to a normal class. Highly recommend it. I was teaching and practising all through my last pregnancy. I was also going to go swimming but I never seem to get round to it!

TomboyGirl · 20/02/2016 21:08

Grapefruit, yes I have been going for yoga once a week for the past 5 weeks, but just the normal yoga classes like earlgrey! Really enjoying it at the moment👍.

strawberry and earlgrey, thanks for the pointers on the maternity bras. Will check out your suggestions.

Ooh enjoy!!
I had a very sick dd yesterday just started suddenly complained of a headache then was throwing up. After a nap yesterday and a good sleep last night she seems on the mend. Think I was that tired I slept 8 hours without getting up once for a wee!! Grin

Osirus · 21/02/2016 10:52

Enjoy the show!

MollieRos · 21/02/2016 13:22

Hope people that are going enjoy the show! Though I have to say, it's pretty much my idea of a nightmare!

We're on another decorating weekend, sigh. We've had a bit of a fail in the baby's room, we'd chosen a lovely golden yellow colour for the walls in there, but once I'd done half a wall it was obvious it's going to be too dark for the room. So loads of time wasted this morning, money wasted on paint, and it's gonna take a few coats to paint over what I did before stopping. Aargh! The painting just seems endless, currently priming doors while my DH does all the glossing (we're totally re-painting the entire upstairs). I'm just glad we have a small house otherwise it'd really take forever!

Spock27 · 21/02/2016 13:37

Hope everyone has a good time at the show, wish there was one in Scotland!

Oh no Mollie, you poor thing! We've just finished painting the nursery walls yellow. Had three samples to begin with and I favored the lightest one but OH wanted something a lot brighter. I won in the end which is good as it ended up looking a lot darker once we'd finished! Hope it doesn't take you too long to re-do :( that's a big job to undertake! I've found painting exhausting this weekend.

LouLou030783 · 21/02/2016 14:06

I know Spock I'm sure there used to be one at the secc all the time

dollydaydream84 · 21/02/2016 14:38

MollieRos - I can recommend Daffodil White by Dulux, its not too dark but darker than it looks in the tin after 2 coats.
I had a similar thing my office years ago "antique cream" was basically dark beige once I'd finished.
