Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 45th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 44th grads thread is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 58th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE
for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

feathered it's red meat that's really the best source of iron - spinach etc are high in iron, but it's not as bioavailable to us. My iron is borderline so I make sure to have beef (in any form, e.g. chilli last night) at least once a week and maybe some black pudding too (not to everyone's taste I know). MW did say fortified cereals are good too though.

DH is slightly better this morning, 'though has written a fb post about his panic for attention sympathy! ;)

I really wish I had had the toxiplasmosis test done privately. I would be GOBSMACKED if I wasn't resistant (grew up playing in mud, cat slept in my bed, kissed cat all the time etc)....but I know I'll panic if I eat a rare piece of meat. You're right though 5hell - it's time to wheel out the animal protein. I absolutely LOVE black pudding though, so thanks for the inspiration!

CountryGal4 · 26/02/2016 09:09

Feathered try drinking orange juice while eating high iron food. Helps with absorption

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 26/02/2016 09:16

Feathered the iron can bung you up so worth asking for some lactulose as well to keep things moving

FeatheredTail · 26/02/2016 10:00

Sky - lactulose has (literally) saved my ass before, so I'm well stocked! Wink

I just ate an orange with my marmite on toast Country. Good tip!

Considerably quieter here in the DAU this morning compared to yesterday. Already seen a friendlier MW Smile

CountryGal4 · 26/02/2016 10:07

Good news thurs! I haven't made it out of bed and mw cat is sleeping with me

We're only ruddy gonna have babies aren't we?!?!!!!

ThursdayLastWeek · 26/02/2016 10:31

Like, next week country ShockShockShock**

Waiting to see anesthetist now, but read the bumpf about what happens for an elcs and I'm feeling a bit anxious. Bringing back not crazy fun memories of DS birth.

They're going to put me on the monitor too which I like Smile

CountryGal4 · 26/02/2016 10:36

I feel cheated I didn't get any of this?! I just had Mrsa swabs and bloods done by mw and bloods and have been told to just turn up on the day. Feel a bit in the dark!

ThursdayLastWeek · 26/02/2016 10:42

Didn't they even give you a load of leaflets? And tell you when not to eat etc?

CountryGal4 · 26/02/2016 10:43

They told me light breakfast in the morning. That's pretty much it. They did give me a fact sheet but it wasn't particularly informative

Peenut · 26/02/2016 10:55

I didn't know that 5hell about iron and breathlessness ... weirdly it comes on in the afternoon and then around 4pm I regularly go a bit deaf in my right ear, like it just pops and goes all underwatery sounding. Anyone else get this? NO? Just my weird body!

Will ask the MW about it anyhoo, just in case!

Glad you are having a better day Thursday.

Wow, a Thursday *Country baby fest next week! How exciting!

FeatheredTail · 26/02/2016 11:15

I get the breathlessness Pee - which I put down to the iron deficiency. Can't help you with the underwater ears though!

Country and Thurs .....LESS THAN ONE WEEK TO GO! Grin

No experience of my own to reassure you with Thurs, but my mum had an extremely traumatic birth with my sister and nearly died (started with a natural birth, sister got stuck, went to emergency c-section, still stuck - and the op took over 3 hours....). Because of that horrid birth, she had an ELCS with me and still to this day RAVES about how brilliant it was - "it was so calm" "you were out within 15 minutes! DONE AND DUSTED!" etc etc. She can never emphasise enough how different the births were. And this is a woman who just LOVES high drama/regaling traumatic situations....so I trust her when she says how calm and safe she felt.

ThursdayLastWeek · 26/02/2016 11:28

Ok I just saw a very friendly young & posh anaesthetist and am feeling much more reassured. Spinal blocks easier and less risky an epidural so that's good news. I told her how nervous I was about it and she was very understanding.

I've just been given rantadine and some carb drinks to have instead of breakfast on the day.
Also I'm the only elcs scheduled that day hurrah! They try to get them done at 11am so this time next week I should be with my baby!

SecondCupOfTea · 26/02/2016 11:45

I got up at 0830. I'm 'dressed' in my PJ's. I'm seriously contemplating going back to bed. Just for a short nap, mind...

CountryGal4 · 26/02/2016 11:49

Do it tea!!

YogaPants · 26/02/2016 11:51

Yay newbies ill and fuzz, good to see you over here. Long live the is grad thread! (I was getting a bit worried things might go quiet on here come April).

Pee if you feel like it might be easier to speak with a seat and someone offers you a seat, then take the seat! Reasonable adjustments in the work place and all that.

On which note, I have been assigned a "buddy" at work to help me evacuate the building in the case of a fire. It makes me feel about five years old. I think I would prefer a "chaperone" or an "escort" than a "buddy" as there is at least the hint of adult activities in those words whereas "buddy" makes me think of school kids lined up in pairs and holding hands on trips out.

Feathered did you see the tapeworm thread on here a few weeks ago? The pictures of parasites being pulled out of bodies posted on there has killed my inclination to eat rare meat for a while.

5hell · 26/02/2016 12:25

ooh pee now you mention it I did have that weird ear thing!!!!
was annoying at the time and seemed to last ages, but obviously went away at some point and hasn't come back, so hopefully yours clears up soon too. i guess it's connected to pregnancy rhinitis maybe?

and another BFP on unders! Grin

feathered your mum sounds fab Smile

ThursdayLastWeek · 26/02/2016 12:30

Oops posted too soon!

It is very reassuring to hear that thanks feathered!

Tea id say it's your duty to get back in that bed. Stat.

I had really weird wooshing in my ears when I lost a lot of blood after DS - is it the same kind of lack of iron that does it?

The doc said I'm likely to get out after just 24 hours Shock
I don't think I'll tell my mum that!

ThursdayLastWeek · 26/02/2016 12:31

Oh I forgot to say hurrah for the bfp boom! Is it anyone I 'know'?

CountryGal4 · 26/02/2016 12:36

What?!? They've told
Me 48 hours humph

SecondCupOfTea · 26/02/2016 12:52

Gave up trying to sleep. Am back to sulking in my PJ's again.

Thursday, yes it should be, it's Corgi

corgi88 · 26/02/2016 12:59

Hi viroids! I have had a 10dpo BFP today (thank god I tested before the hen weekend!) Trying not to let myself get too excited though because of my mc at Christmas.
might buy some mini-eggs to scoff at the hen do instead of drinking ;)
hope you're all doing well, some of you are so close to popping! how exciting!!

CarrotPuff · 26/02/2016 13:16

Yay, congrats Corgi! Is this another JS baby boom?

Pee I always get a sensation that my ears have popped after blood donation, so I do think it's blood related.

Country and Thursday, you really are having babies so soon! Shit's getting real!

I might have a nap now. DS is down for his, although I can hear he's not asleep yet.

Baby is not playing ball at all. It's moved up again, I can feel its bottom up my ribs. 39 weeks today.
