Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 45th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 44th grads thread is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 58th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE
for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

Hello, please can I join? I got my BFP this morning and am feeling quite terrified!

SecondCupOfTea · 25/02/2016 11:09

Oh grats Fuzzy. You're more than welcome to join us...numbers are starting to thin out. Pop yourself on the Stats sheet when you feel like it.

Try not to feel too terrified, and ask any questions you have Smile

FuzzyOwl · 25/02/2016 11:12

Thank you Second and once I am on a laptop I will add my stats.

TriJo · 25/02/2016 11:56

Welcome Fuzzy and congratulations!

/offers Chocolate and Brew :)

Finishing up in work tomorrow and getting last-minute things tidied up here. My cover has hit the ground running and I really don't have anything to worry about tbh - it's nice to have someone back who worked with us before.

SockQueen · 25/02/2016 12:09

Welcome Fuzzy, congratulations and gx for a sticky bean!

Thursday that's really crap organisation from them. I suspect the reason it has to be within 7 days is so they can take a blood group sample in case you need a transfusion - at some hospitals they can only use the sample if it's less than 7 days old, though many are now becoming more flexible with that and extending the time the sample can be kept for. But it's stupid that they can't co-ordinate their pre-ops with your dates! Pre-ops seem quite variable from what I've seen - at some it's just an MRSA swab and get given a couple of tablets for the night before/morning of CS, at others you see the surgeons and sign the consent form and see the anaesthetist as well.

CarrotPuff · 25/02/2016 13:58

Ooh, fresh meat! Welcome Fuzzy and congrats!

Lil I really can't get my head around why they would induce you at 40 weeks. Ok, they do know exactly when conception happened. But even with natural conception they take the dates at dating scan as a gospel and would still let you get to 40+10/14. Just doesn't make sense. But then you might be so fed up by that stage that you won't mind, who knows? Let's hope you just pop nice and early! I mean term early, obviously!

5hell · 25/02/2016 14:27

how annoying thurs ...surely it was them that booked you in for today?!?! Angry on your behalf

hey fuzzy Grin

having a day off today, so far have walked dogs, done a little shopping, had my brows threaded and been swimming :) thinking of heading to tesco to get the more boring hospital bag bits (mat pads etc - oh the glamour!)

Thanks everyone, yay Fuzzy great to have someone due around the same time.

A lot if you are so close to meeting your js babies it's so exciting Smile

Boobs hurt and am ravenously hungry, nausea and tiredness around 2pm everyday but less cramps this time. Keep expecting the bubble to burst.

Lil wow 24 weeks already, wish we had a place like mothercare here. Doesn't seem to exist in the US.

Miss the nhs in some ways but not in others, wait times suck but not having to pay at point of service is great when you have spent 9 hrs in a&e.

honeysucklejasmine · 25/02/2016 16:36

Hi hi! Huge congratulations to Ill and Fuzzy! Welcome to grads! May your stay be uneventful and entirely lacking in vomit and SPD!

Baby is just fabulous, we love her so much. We had a small meltdown yesterday regarding feeding problems coinciding with my hormonal let down, but feeling 100% better today! She's getting to grips with feeding which is great too. It's odd. She really does just sleep, eat and poo. But mostly sleep, which is brilliant. She's so cuddly.

Cats find her quite interesting. We bought them a new toy to appease them too, so it's a very happy household!

Gx for all those of you reaching term. Can't believe March Madness is about to begin!

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 25/02/2016 16:47

So happy for you honey!

thurs that is truly crap. Sending you BrewCakeFlowers

I had my diabetic clinic appt today. There were no consultants on duty and I may have gotten a bit irate and demanded to see one to discuss induction vs ELCS. In the end they found an OB to discuss my birth plan with me as I am starting metformin tonight due to tricky fasting levels and they'd like to see me on more starches as I am really having to restrict carbs to stay diet controlled. No talk of induction before 40+6 unless I start insulin so that is a big relief. Discussed my last traumatic birth and been counselled on risks of ELCS vs induction. So have decided to try to deliver unless they decide she needs to come before I am due and feeling a lot more confident about it. Comsultant even said I had great abdominal tone and asked if I am into exercize. I am not really so pretty sure it's from all the shagging Grin GX that I spontaneously go into labour soon. Roll on 37 weeks!

ThursdayLastWeek · 25/02/2016 17:45

Thank you all, sock that does make sense - I would have preferred to have the MW I saw actually explain that to me though.

Welcome Fuzzy excellent to have fresh blood!

lildottie · 25/02/2016 18:42

Grats fuzzy

ill I know, its gone fast! I had less ceamps this time compared to mc bfp to so hopefully that's a good sign for you.

honey I'm taking it that means you're home! Yay! Glad all is going well. Keep checking in when you can.

carrot Im going to have to ask consultant about it more I think. Another for my list of qns!

So lilbean has been quieter today. I have felt movement today but not as much/strong as normal. When. I did Doppler this morning HB was much stronger/easier to find so I'm thinking its moved around and limbs now toward my back? What do you think?

FuzzyOwl · 25/02/2016 20:06

Thanks for the lovely welcome everyone.

Waiting for the bubble to burst sums me up exactly Illiria.

I have spent the last three days with periods of slight nausea lurking in the background and have joyful stomach cramps already, as well a cold and general blurgh. Am only 12dpo so this is not boding well for the coming weeks. That said, I am one of those people who prefers to feel awful as it psychologically makes me think everything is fine with the baby's development.

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 25/02/2016 20:12

Welcome fuzzy!

KateBeckett · 25/02/2016 20:54

Thanks guys, have had a much better day today and didn't do a sick at all (love that phrase mer !)
feathered I think so, I'm on cyclizine. Most of the time it helps. It has stopped me from feeling constantly nauseous which was the worst bit!

Just having a nice relaxing bath with a now very obvious bump poking out of the water and a very active boybee bashing around Grin

Gx your results come back really soon mer and sorry the hospital are messing you about with the scan... Grr to them!

Congrats on your bfp fuzzy ! Yay more newbies! Gx you have a smooth ride!

KateBeckett · 25/02/2016 20:56

Ha! I missed you last post somehow fuzzy ! Sorry you are suffering already but glad you can take some positive reassurance from it!

ThursdayLastWeek · 25/02/2016 21:30

I had a bath too kate and watched Persuasion whilst in it. Something about the water and position I lie in makes this baby go kerazy which I quite enjoy!

I just had a sticky toffee pudding with clotted cream for my tea Grin

TriJo · 25/02/2016 22:08

36 week midwife appointment this evening - all good, had it confirmed that all going well I can use the birth centre so I'm very happy about that! DH came with me and got to ask a few questions of his own - he was mostly happy to hear the heartbeat though.

ThursdayLastWeek · 25/02/2016 22:11

Lovely Tri Smile

Can I ask whoever requested me on FB to just stick their hand up please?! I'm really sorry I cannot put a NN to the real life name!

5hell · 26/02/2016 05:51

Yay! Finally a good mw appt for u tri :)
I might take dh along to one of my late appointments too, although he is FREAKING OUT a bit currently...I think finishing nct and realising there's not that many weeks left before chubs' arrival has hit home hard!!

Hooray for Friday! Grin

ThursdayLastWeek · 26/02/2016 06:51

Well I don't know if I was just totally knackered last night, or if the paracetamol I took before bed really took the edge off any pain but I slept! Well!

I'm only awake now because I'm hungry, I darent get up in case I wake DS Grin

Back to the hospital I go this morning - I guess I know now I'll have bloods taken at least! Then because I have Pilates in the same town at lunchtime I'm not going to bother going home in the meantime.

Looking forward to tomorrow and not doing much already Smile

Hope you all are feeling well this morning viroids?

Peenut · 26/02/2016 07:54

Nice to see you Fuzzy and Ill! So funny how BFPs come in batches Smile! And perfect timing and most of us are on the cusp of popping! I'm around for another 20 weeks! (If all goes according to plan!)

Had the 20 week scan in Monday which was lovely - all looking good and didn't find out the flavour! Sonographer was lovely, kept talking all the way through and really put us at ease, not like 12 weekmatein lady! Haven't stopped since then ... Feel bad on the bean with work hours I've put in but hopefully he/she is just chilling out in there. More than me. Oh and placenta had moved up and is now only just touching birth canal so that's a relief - get a 32 week scan to check it's finally moved out of the way but I'm confident it will have done after seeing how much it shifted in 3 weeks since last scan!

Good news for birthing centre Tri. I wish there was one nearby I could use but the nearest would mean a long drive through traffic.

I'm sure my DH will be hysterical by the end 5hell, I think he'll need his own midwife appointment to ask questions/be consoled!

Cake Mermaid hope you get a phone call that allows you to breathe a big sigh of relief.

Sorry the voms are still chasing you Kate! That sucks.

fruit, defo weird stuff happening with my rib cage! All my old bras far too tight, pyjama tops too tight and I wake up every morning feeling like my rib cage has been squashed in the night ... Anyone else get that? If I lie on my side it's really bad! Crap, I might end up with a wider back than I had already, which was quite broad for my size, I think.

Oh and I can no longer talk and breathe at the same time ... Not good standing front if a class of. kids yesterday, the teacher asked if I was alright and did I want to sit down! It's World Book Day next week so in schools everyday (not a teacher but my job relates to books) so will just have to muddke through gasping like a far more pregnant person!

Feathered that late midwife sounds WELL annoying!!! I'd prob be very British too and not complain Wink

Sky hope your results come back OK. You are doing brilliantly managing food and the worry of it all. A digital Cake for you.

Flowers to anyone I've not caught up with! Hope you are al goooood!

5hell · 26/02/2016 08:03

pee how are your iron levels? - I only mention it because someone in my NCT group had anemia-related breathlessness, if you think you're more breathless than you should be I'm mention to your mw.

hooray for sleep thurs ...hope your pre-OP goes well today :)

i'd say bean's prob just shuffled round lil - but trust your instincts.

CountryGal4 · 26/02/2016 08:04

Fresh meat woohoo. Welcome newbies chances are anything that's happening or your feeling at least one of us has been there!

FeatheredTail · 26/02/2016 08:47

Welcome back Ill and welcome Fuzzy, great to have you both here!

Hahah Thurs - loving the image of you trapped in bed, hungry, for fear of waking the lively one!

Fab news on your placenta Pee, must be a relief. And no, I didn't end up complaining. I sat and seethed and made a few passive aggressive remarks, very quietly.

Lil this baby also has quiet days which I put down to his/her position (and my being poorly a couple of weeks ago). It's now turned again and has had a two day rave up - kicking, swooshing etc, all very energetically! Out of interest do you work out BPM when you use your Doppler?

Going to my first pregnancy yoga class at lunch today (working from home). Really excited. Apart from walking, I've done no excercise/gym classes during this pregnancy. Looking forward to some lovely stretches!

Apparently my iron levels are too low. Any other viroids suffered this? They want it improved in the next 6 weeks. I'm picking up some tablets today. I'm already eating spinach most days, kidney beans, whole meal bread etc. I cannot have another well cooked steak this pregnancy as a piece of my soul dies each time I ruin a perfectly gorgeous slab of meat. I'm guessing a bowl of bran flakes and iron tablets will sort me out. We'll see. Explains why I'm feeling really tired every morning.

Hahaha 5hell - sounds like DH needs his hand holding and a few gentle words! I bet time has flown since week 30!
