Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 45th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 44th grads thread is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 58th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE
for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

After all my BH over the weekend, today I'll mostly be shopping for, and packing, my hospital bags. I've got everything for the baby's bag, just need PJ's, more vest tops, mahoosive bras and bigger knickers for mine (and small items like eye mask...99p on ebay!).

New carpet being fitted on Thursday, so the potential Law Of Sod is that I'll go into labour Wednesday night!

FeatheredTail · 22/02/2016 10:08

5hell - yes "harrowing" to put it mildly! I had to have a large gulp of DH's wine because I felt so woozy and shaky! Seriously, I kind of wish I hadn't watched it! My entire womble seemed to turn over whilst it was happening!

I also get where you're coming from with quiet offices. I'm working from home today, but I am finding it quite hard to concentrate. I have my first NCT class tonight and am suddenly a bit nervous about what the group will be like, how interactive it will be etc.

Fruit you poor thing - that must have been really scary. What the hell was your womble playing at?! Glad you're in the all clear now and hope you're relaxing at home.

So delighted for Honey - she is just gorgeous Honey (and looks just like your DH in my opinion). Can't wait to hear the birth story.

Carrot glad you're not unwell and glad you have lovely IL support!

Sky I also have a thing for looking at preg test webpages. I just loved POSs. Nothing quite like seeing that pink line appear!

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 22/02/2016 10:09

You're a brave woman getting new carpets whilst heavily pregnant Tea! We have XH's steam cleaner to clean baby stuff and I am convinced that if we do the carpets that will invoke LOS.

I am planning to leapfrog if possible any time after next Monday. 36 weeks today! Wheeeeee!

Can't wait to see honeys bee bee...

CarrotPuff · 22/02/2016 10:16

Sky she posted pics on FB ( I know you're not on there anymore), not sure she'll do it on here as well.

SockQueen · 22/02/2016 10:19

Huge congratulations honey! Hope you aren't too exhausted. Can't wait to hear more about it.

Mermaid36 · 22/02/2016 11:23

Huzzah for Honeys girlbee!

It's perfectly ok for me to sit in bed and eat crisps between my hospital appointments today, right?

Had my private clinic blood test this morning in Manchester, and now home until my growth scan in Blackpool this afternoon. Such a jetsetter!

TriJo · 22/02/2016 11:41

Congrats Honey :)

Last week in work before maternity leave and my cover just started. Shit's getting real!

5hell · 22/02/2016 13:39

perfectly acceptable mer - your day sounds exhausting!

just had first noticeable bout of baby hiccups - went on for ages, v cute Grin although cant help feeling he must be knackered now!

ThursdayLastWeek · 22/02/2016 13:53

In my head Blackpool and Manchester are really far away from each other Mer - I guess that's not the case? I'm so Cornish!

Baby hiccups are super cute aren't they 5hell. The rhythm gives them away.

I have my pre op on Thursday, then have the whole day toddler free as do my mum friends so we're going out for a leisurely lunch Smile. Not really a baby shower, but a last chance to get together child free for a while I expect. I'm really looking forward to it.

Sorted out my baby clothes in a chest of drawers in our bedroom, and got the car seat all ready to put in the car! Wish me luck!

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 22/02/2016 16:12

I am FB friends with her so will see them eventually! If anyone else wants to be FB friends just pm me and I will tell you how to add me Wink x

Birth story: It was a bit of a nightmare by the end but we made it!

My waters had gone on Saturday morning so was induced at 5am on Sunday. I started contracting very quickly, and within about two hours I was having 6 contractions in 10 minutes, lasting at least a minute each, which was incredibly difficult. They couldn't send me down to delivery suite until I reached 4cm, but they were kind enough to give me gas and air which isn't usually available on that ward. Eventually got downstairs, to delivery and immediately back on the gas. Had an epidural which was great, and progressed nicely over the course of the afternoon, but the needle came out of my spine just as I reached ten centimetres so they wanted me to push without it (the only thing I cared about in labour was having one in for the pushing, I was gutted!) We tried for an hour and she was moving, but I started to get horrendous pain in my hip which was overwhelming the muscle pain from the contractions. In the end I said I just couldn't do it. They think she was maybe lying on a nerve or something and attempting to push was agony. So I went round to theatre, had a spinal block put in and a forceps assisted delivery within a few pushes.

We agreed that I would have been able to push her out if bit for the hip pain which we couldn't explain, so didn't want to aggravate something which could become a major problem for me, mobility wise, in the future. I have never had a hip problem before so decided we best not start now!

So yes! They thought at one point I had spiked a fever so she and I are on antibiotics, although everyone is a bit dubious of it as its prob an overreaction. Better safe than sorry though.

She's very cute and quite content at the moment so hopefully that will last!

honeysucklejasmine · 22/02/2016 17:11

Feathered do you think? I reckon she looks like a baby! I am useless at that sort of thing. Wink

SecondCupOfTea · 22/02/2016 17:17

Successful shopping trip (real and online).

I started in Asda, where I got some PJ bottoms, 2 pairs for a tenner. They are black, lounge-pant style, with a very high waistband, so have bought size 22 (I'm normally a 14) and they are effectively over-the-bump.

Then got a twin-pack of vest style PJ tops is a size big enough to go over my bump and hoik down to get a boob out. They were £7 for 2.

Also got some more daytime strappy vest tops (again, bigger than my normal size) for breastfeeding. They were £4 for 2.

Got some massive pants in Matalan.

Then ordered some cheap nursing bras from Amazon, all around £7-9 each. I'll try them on, keep a couple and send the rest back.

Hospital bags to be packed tomorrow...

Mermaid36 · 22/02/2016 17:27

thurs about 60 miles away, but takes about 2hrs each way cos motorways are crap and full of roadworks. Blackpool is our 'local' hospital but still takes 30/40 mins from our house because of traffic and the fact we live quite rurally...

It's not as bad as Cornwall where the motorway just stops and you get a whole county on A roads!!

CarrotPuff · 22/02/2016 17:27

Well done honey, sounds tough but you made it! Shame about epidural, but she's here now and that's all that matters.

Just seen a MW. Baby still half way engaged, all good. Although the MW and student got different fh measurements...

I'm very uncomfortable at the moment, got some trapped wind that is finally starting to come out... Can't wait for tomorrow, as PILs taking DS for a day. Will finally get some rest!

FeatheredTail · 22/02/2016 17:35

Honey - CONGRATS! Flowers Wine How weird about the hip pain - but definitely sounds like you did the right thing not to push and potentially cause issues for your health in the future. Hope you're recovering OK from forceps. Are you out of hospital?

And yes - I do think she looks like your DH. Mostly she looks like a baby, but with a streak of your DH running through her! Wink

lildottie · 22/02/2016 17:58

Aw well done honey! How much of an issue was the end scarring in the end? I know you were worried about that. Can't wait to see pics on fb too also fb friends with honey like sky is

Haven't watched any of this season of ctmw yet but starting to think I shouldn't!?

lildottie · 22/02/2016 18:00

Oh and meant to say lovely name too honey

FeatheredTail · 22/02/2016 18:10

Be ready with the pause/fast forward button Lil that's all I'm saying. I'd also recommend having a shot of wine/smelling salts close by in case you have a wobbly moment.

Oh, and you'll need tissues of course. But I'm guessing everyone does, every week right?!

ThursdayLastWeek · 22/02/2016 20:06

Wow Honey sounds like you barely needed the induction anyways! Your body must have just about ready to tip over into labour.

Congratulations to you, sounds like you coped marvellously. Perhaps a blessing in disguise that your epidural failed at the pushing stage - you mightn't have felt the pain in your hip and done some damage if you'd pushed through it?

Anyways, huge congratulations. She's here, I'm very happy for you Thanks

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 22/02/2016 20:47

honey you legend! Congrats!

Now nobody get excited but I went for a walk after dinner to get my blood sugar down and found myself doing the blowing out breath a lot. And my back began to ache and my bump got really tight and baby is wriggling away happily. I have also had 3 poos today... I'm not saying I am in labour... but I wouldn't be surprised if I pull a bit of a snakes and ladders move in the near future Wink I am going to go through my hospital bag and checklist now just so it is done because of course I have lunch plans tomorrow....

ThursdayLastWeek · 22/02/2016 20:57

sky that describes my everyday at the mo - but my bump is still about as high as it's possible to be.
I didn't go into labour naturally with DS so every back twinge or extra poo gives me a little flutter of horror and/or excitement!

I woke up this morning and was like 'oh fuck, I'm having a baby NEXT WEEK'.

5hell · 22/02/2016 21:29

Oh god you lot are all freaking me out!!! ...Must pack labour bag (which involves buying many things) and seriously work on finishing stuff at work!

Hips feel funny today and gluts feel like I've done a lot of squats - weird Confused

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 22/02/2016 22:55

My pelvis hurts and I am getting fanny daggers plus sitting down or getting up from sitting is at best awkward. Bump is low. FFS I am only 36 weeks and I have plans tomorrow... have checked over hospital bag and done checklists for DP just in case. Will have to bash out a birth plan before bed in case this properly kicks off... I haven't even properly discussed birth with MW or met my new consultant yet Hmm. Let's hope minisky is just being a bit of a cheeky monkey and is teasing me...

honeysucklejasmine · 23/02/2016 00:12

Still in hospital and my fanjo is very sore. Fun and games! Little lady is in antibiotics until Wednesday when we'll hopefully be discharged.

She's currently filling her pants. Waiting for her to finish so I don't have to change her twice. Delightful.
