Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 45th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 44th grads thread is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 58th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE
for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

fruit I think a foot stamping tantrum would be totally justified in those circumstances! That sounds awful to deal with, I guess either side of this particular coin is tricky... At least my DM isn't being hurtful, even if it is really annoying! And no, no receipts! Angry

honeysucklejasmine · 18/02/2016 12:36

Bless MIL. She was over yesterday and started talking about money. BILs are mostly useless financially so she wanted to us to know that they'd kept track of the help they'd had and want to give us the same! Shock Bit awkward really as we neither want or need their cash. In the end we agreed to let them know details of babies bank account and they can do what they want. It's really sweet of them, but lord, it is so awkward. We are far too British is chat so casually about money. (MIL is not British.) Luckily other than that, DM and MIL have both been great about getting stuff for baby. I.e. we bought it, they reimbursed us for an item of their choosing. (Pushchair and nappies)

I would be very miffed indeed if someone tried to choose items for me!

CarrotPuff · 18/02/2016 12:44

Kate that's really annoying, I would do some stern talking!

This left side sleeping is complete nonsense IMO. My hips are sore and the left one is sorer than the right one, so I can't lie in my left very long even if I wanted to. Just sleep in whatever position is comfortable because soon nothing will be comfortable anymore.

Fruit I wish my DP would go off the idea for a bit. Nothing seems to put him off Hmm I do fancy it sometimes, but by the time the evening comes, I'm just too tired/sore/uncomfortable and just CBA. Don't think it will be happening before the baby is born...

Pork scratching are the food of gods.
Yummy piggy gods.

FeatheredTail · 18/02/2016 14:37

Thurs have you tried the M&S ones that come in a blue and white bag? Definitive food of the gods. They're so salty and crunchy. Only bummer is each bag contains TWO servings. This is noted in tiny tiny writing at the bottom of the packet.

Nothing like realising you've devoured 700 calories of deep fried fat in 15 minutes.

Mermaid36 · 18/02/2016 14:42

Thanks for all your good thoughts/hugs/hand holds etc - very much welcome!

We've seen the consultant now, and got some answers...but she still can't tell us why we were offered a test that is notoriously unreliable for multiple pregnancies...
The senior sister midwife had never heard of the NIPT tests (or any brand thereof) and the consultant was so-so about them.
I've got my MoM results from the test, and they look crap, but apparently that's because there is no actual baseline for twin pregnancy on the tests...
M and I are now BAU (business as usual) for the time being because there is nothing more we can do except wait for the NIPT test and anomaly scan in 2 weeks...

I have accidentally skived off work this afternoon though. I could have easily gone back (only 20mins from work to hospital) but boss wasn't expecting me back so I am back at home with my feet up. I'll go back in tomorrow though!

KateBeckett · 18/02/2016 14:54

Not skiving if your boss wasn't expecting you back mer Flowers

TriJo · 18/02/2016 15:06

^ What Kate said, make yourself some nice Brew and get some Chocolate and relax at home, it sounds like a good time for it!

YogaPants · 18/02/2016 15:10

Mer don't feel bad for having the afternoon off. Sounds like you could do with some couch time after your stressful week.

Kate it looks like you need to find a somewhere to direct your DMs excitement other than spontaneous, unwanted purchases. Any diy you need help with that she could do?

Honey that sounds very egalitarian of your mil. If you plan to have more than one DC however, I'd try to make sure you can divide money from GPs between them.

5hell · 18/02/2016 16:17

tri how was your mw?
...I just had mine (lovely) no issues except baby might be back to back & breech! She said not to worry as plenty of time to move, but think I'll check out spinning babies just in case!

mer glad u got a few more answers, but sorry it's nothing definitive yet Flowers

It was dopeyhole again, she tried to get away with outright lying to me about how this appointment was arranged until I caught her out, and I was left waiting 25 minutes with a desperate need to pee because previous appointments had run over and she hadn't left the pee jars somewhere convenient so I could just go do my business while I was waiting. Angry enough by the time I got to the blood pressure check that I popped a 130/80 when I'm normally 95/60...

Next appointment is at the hospital on Tuesday to try and get me back to schedule (this was my 34 week appointment at 35+4) and I'm crossing everything crossable that it isn't her.

ThursdayLastWeek · 18/02/2016 17:23

Poor Tri so frustrating feeling like you're not being looked after well.

CarrotPuff · 18/02/2016 17:31

Mermaid don't feel guilty, I think you could really do with some me time.

Sorry about rubbish MW Tri.

My last one was similar to Thursday's - professional but cold. It wasn't my usual one, as they ran out of appts at my surgery, so I had to go to drop in. Same story tomorrow, but I might go to Mondays drop in instead, I think my lovely MW runs that one, and it's only 10 mins down the road from me!

MY MATERNITY LEAVE HAS STARTED!!!

ThursdayLastWeek · 18/02/2016 17:48

Hurrah carrot! Rest time for you (lol, as if)

Shooting pain down one butt cheek is likely to be sciatic???

honeysucklejasmine · 18/02/2016 17:53

Yes indeed Yoga! but it does assume BILs will stop needing bailing out over the years Hmm Wink

Congratulations Carrot!

Mermaid36 · 18/02/2016 17:55

Thurs Yup, sounds like sciatica...

I've spent the afternoon reading and then making labels for a wedding favour order...all from the sofa (with my feet up!)

lildottie · 18/02/2016 18:56

Off to buy more paint, nursery this time!

mer sorry no closer to an answer but good on u for going home.

fruit I'm still doing acupuncture but only monthly now. I intend to step it up toward the end in a hope I can evict lilbean before getting induced at 40w!

CountryGal4 · 18/02/2016 19:33

Tomorrow off then last day tues

Nursery still needs painting

Bag still needs packing

Confused
SecondCupOfTea · 18/02/2016 20:29

Eat and watch Downton. That's all I've done all day. I think I needed a couch potato day!

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 18/02/2016 20:44

Evening all! Have had a really nice relaxing day, a good cry a long nap, and my blood sugars have been under control for the most part... feeling like myself again. Might even go meet some friends in town tomorrow! Thanks for all your kind words yesterday.

kate and anyone else with pushy parent issues... there is nothing wrong with having boundaries and expressing them! Foisting stuff on you that you don't want/haven't asked for is misguided kindness and you need to gently and firmly explain how you feel now so that the behavior doesn't continue. The more it happens the more resentful you'll feel and the greater the potential that when you do address it it will come across as unreasonable/ungrateful which of course you are not!

tri can you request a different MW? She sounds awful!

carrot hooray for mat leave!

And finally Star for the shagging!

ThursdayLastWeek · 18/02/2016 21:29

Come on country stop slacking you have less than a fortnight Grin

tea that sound lovely! My DS has had a similar day, slept in til 8am, then had a 2.5hr nap in the afternoon Shock fucking amazing.

I'm all achy and painy and stretched and bloated and just thoroughly over being pregnant.

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 18/02/2016 21:49

Forgot to say: A friend gave me a book for Christmas to write letters to the baby in. I wrote the first one today. It was the loveliest feeling cried again I highly recommend it to those having a bit of a struggle in the last weeks. It really does shift your focus and helps you to feel connected to your child.

KateBeckett · 18/02/2016 22:12

Yay for mat leave carrot I'm so jealous! Literally counting down the weeks til mine starts... Ages yet!

Glad you are feeling better today sky and thanks for the words of wisdom!! I am hopeful that I got my point across through the snot and tears

I had my first bona fide pregnancy craving today - necked 2 glasses of milk like it was frikkin wine. I hate milk usually! Confused An odd experience!

5hell · 19/02/2016 06:24

so glad you had a better day sky - you sound much more relaxed and happy :)

once you finish work i'm sure you'll whizz through your remaining 'to-do' list country - tbh it makes me feel bit better that I'm not the only march edd who's not ready yet! (although I think i'm last!)

anyone baby-showing this weekend? a few of our act class are going, we're not but are planning on going normal baby-shizzle shopping to try and tick a few more things of the LIST!

Good morning all.

Hope everyone is feeling ok this morning?

This time in a fortnight I'll probably be on my way to the hospital Shock

Now why oh why oh why do you think my DH didn't bring umpire my cup of coffee as soon as it was ready do you think....???
