Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 45th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 44th grads thread is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 58th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE
for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

Sky I think Zyla is giving you permission to have a fuckload of fondue for the next five weeks. Dust off your 70s set, melt some cheese and get stuck in. Yummy.

vroc81 · 15/02/2016 22:33

sky check out the gestational diabetes uk mums Facebook group and their website... They have loads of snacking ideas and pairing suggestions... Might help the hunger... many seem to involve cheese

5hell · 16/02/2016 06:37

Ooh a lurker, how intriguing :)

Dodgy nights sleep, had a little cry in frustration (which probably helped me finally fall asleep) ...the feeling of restless "legs" in my whole body was to blame Sad

Anyone got any tips for tonight?

Internet man coming this afternoon!!!!

20w scan this morning. Can't believe I'm halfway Confused I'm fucking shattered too as I woke up in the middle of the night with major scanxiety (having mostly avoided it so far!) and took ages to get back to sleep...
Anyway, I am not going to stress too much! Any guesses? I think boybee, my Aunty is so convinced girlbee she has bought a little girls outfit, uni friends think boybee, miroid refuses to guess!

sky that sounds so frustrating, especially seeing as they should have done something ages ago. Cake

FeatheredTail · 16/02/2016 08:22

Alert alert! Don't drink too much water Kate - according to my humourless sonographer I had way overfilled my bladder for my 20 week scan and there's no need to.

Peenut · 16/02/2016 08:23

That sucks 5hell, midnight sobbing! Good you managed eventually to get back to sleep. I think a few people have said yoga/pilates stretching helps before bed with restless legs?

I have awoken with pregnancy ailments –cysitits, a coldsore and a bunged up nose. I've already done and emergency run to Tesco to buy Cranberry juice and off to the doctors at 9am to ask permission to use medication/get antibiotics to stop the I AM GOING TO PEE MYSELF sensation. All round an excellent start!

Damn you pregnancy for reawakening the cold sore virus! Hadn't had one of the bastards for years and this is the second in a month.

Ooooooh! Scan today Kate! How exciting that you are going to find out the sex. Fingers crossed all is well for you, and what a nice day to have off work :) SUNNY!

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 16/02/2016 08:25

Thanks for the kind words and tips lovlies. Especially thanks to vroc for delurking! Will scamper over there now. Feeling a bit deflated this am as my fasting rate was a bit high bwfore brekkie. Knew that blood orange last night was too good to be allowed Envy

Yay for halfway kate! Good luck!

ThursdayLastWeek · 16/02/2016 08:32

Good luck for your scan Kate! Do you plan to find out the sex?

Sorry for all your ailments Pee, I'm don't recall if I've ever had cystitis but it sounds like a nightmare.

We're off to meet Stickman today

5hell · 16/02/2016 08:48

enjoy kate! - i think the 20w scan is just the best because you can see soooo much detail; hope baby plays ball so you can find out sex (if you want to)

we are in the wars aren't we?!...get well soon pee/feathered Flowers and hope you find a food routine that works for you asap sky

day has already improved as lovely dh did the dog walk for me (tues is my day) AND defrosted the car on his way back in Smile (he's a keeper)

Morning!

Happy scanning Kate!

Thursday WTF is stickman? As in, the book by Julia Donaldson?

ThursdayLastWeek · 16/02/2016 09:35

Haha yes Honey, as in Stickman from the Julia Donaldson book Grin

Just you wait... WinkWinkWink

(It's a thing in at the Eden Project this half term. You can meet him in his family tree apparently. I think it's going to be awful because DS doesn't really like queueing...)

FeatheredTail · 16/02/2016 10:05

Oh 5hell restless legs are the worst!! Do you have any tried and tested getting-back-to-sleep techniques? Sometimes trying to stay awake to read a book works for me - if I'm trying to concentrate I just zonk. When do you start your mat leave?

Pee - have I coughed on you in the past few days?! You poor thing. Haven't had coldsores but the burning pee sensation from hell is fresh in my mind.

I'm back at work today and THREE OF MY MEETINGS HAVE JUST BEEN CANCELLED. I'M BLOODY LIVID!!!!!!!!!! They were the only reason I came in!

Also just found out my boss has organised my maternity cover interviews during my last (sadly uncancelled) meeting of the day so I can't sit in. She probs wouldn't let me anyway, but I REALLY want some input as to who's managing my projects for the next year. My boss has very little idea about what needs to be done in the next 12 months. GAH!

Give yourself a break Sky - you only started the new diet yesterday. Your body will fall in with it in the next few days. Now, about that bacon....

SecondCupOfTea · 16/02/2016 10:05

I have two tasks to complete this morning. I'm dying my hair after yesterday's much needed haircut, and I'm doing an overdue foof tidy-up with some hair removal cream. I need to get these things in the right order!

Peenut · 16/02/2016 10:24

I think I got your internet germs Feathered! Cystitis is nothing to do with the Valentine's shagging, honest.

On the plus side, I got Gaviscon and cold sore cream on prescription –every cloud!

That's crap about your meetings and the mat cover interview. Bah!

Yes, defo don't mix up Tea! That will be an interesting hairstlyle/muff style if you do!

TriJo · 16/02/2016 10:46

I badly need a haircut too, top and bottom! Grin Waiting until the first week in March and maternity leave though, going to go for a very short pixie cut so I don't have to put in much/any maintenance effort in the early days. I've been as short as a #5 blade in the past, it's quite tempting...

SecondCupOfTea · 16/02/2016 11:18

Success! Still have a full head of hair on my head (now blonder).

Tri it's been years and years since I've had short hair, I'm used to having it long now. Albeit, I had about 4-5 inches chopped off yesterday, but it's still below shoulder length (it grows so bloody quickly!).

TriJo · 16/02/2016 11:29

Exact opposite here Tea - I had mine cut up to chin length the day after I finished my Junior Cert (a week before I turned 15) and haven't had it longer than that since then! I have poker straight but incredibly thick hair and it's just easier to manage when it's short.

KateBeckett · 16/02/2016 12:49

I did indeed have a very full bladder feathered but luckily we had a nice, cheerful sonographer this time!

Scan was awesome! Babybeckett has changed so much! And... A very definite boybee! Grin Everything looks healthy and he is growing well, also got to see him wriggle around when I couldn't feel it so that has reassured me about movements.

Problem though- Internet man supposedly coming between 12-6, rang me at half 11 when we were still in town saying he had arrived 😕 Drove back as quick as possible, but he wasn't there when e got back, and no note so fuck knows if he's coming back today 😭 I need Netflix and the Internet!!!!

Glad miroid is looking after you 5hell

pee sounds like a horrid start to the day, hope the docs are kind and give you something to help! Flowers

CarrotPuff · 16/02/2016 12:50

Yay for new hairstyle Tea.

Sky hopefully your body gets used to new diet soon. Have they mentioned anything about induction yet?

Sorry 5hell can't offer any help but I can join you in frustrated cry corner. I think I don't fall into deep sleep anymore Confused

Spotty like a teenager today Hmm

Just thought I've peed myself a little bit but it appeared just a lot of discharge. #pregnancyglamour

Extremely bored at work today. 2 more days to go...

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 16/02/2016 15:24

pee Flowers you poor love! Hope the doc sorts you out quickly.

5hell not being able to sleep is the worst Flowers for you too.

feathered how annoying! My work drives me mad too, mostly because I love it. It is good that you care about what you do. Will you have a decent handover period?

Those talking hair, DPs favourite hairstyle on me is the fringed bob a la Taylor Swift at the Grammy's last night. I have been letting it grow because it gets so thick in pregnancy but feeling a bit like Ozzy these days... worried if I cut it into a severe bob it will accentuate my current lack of chin... can anyone think of any celebs with a good mid length cut? I have a classic heart shaped face but currently it's a bit puffy....

Evened out blood sugars after lunch and brought them quite low actually Grin Crazy hungry again Envy currently on the high protein snacks. Cheese, sausages, spoonful of peanut butter. Almost nothing touches my voracious mid-afternoon appetite... but it is easier than yesterday. Much respect to pretz and zyla and vroc for making it through this before. GD is tough!

CarrotPuff · 16/02/2016 17:29

Sky hopefully if your readings stay low they'll allow you some more carbs?

I get awful BH when I walk, mostly towards the end of the day. But I think baby has disengaged as I can feel it's bum right under my ribs. I really prefer it being low, at least you can sit comfortably!

honeysucklejasmine · 16/02/2016 18:12

Went for a long walk with friends and their kiddies today. Now I hurt. So we're going to eat dinner (steak pie) and then watch a stupid action movie. Trying to decide between Hercules, Prince of Persia or Cowboys vs Aliens.

CarrotPuff · 16/02/2016 18:20

Fish and chips here for dindins and we're watching yesterday's episode of Walking Dead.

honeysucklejasmine · 16/02/2016 20:44

We went for Cowboys vs Aliens in the end.

Cats are being weirdos at the moment. Hanging around begging for things, interacting weirdly with each other, running around for no reason. Very odd.

FeatheredTail · 16/02/2016 20:47

Phew and congrats on healthy 20 week scan Kate! Lovely relief to know that all's well!

I do care about what I do Sky, an awful lot. One of my projects is going to have an article in The Times law supplement tomorrow - I'm so looking forward to seeing it, but even that's making me anxious worrying whether my cover will work to get decent press. I don't known if there will be any handover at all - I leave on 13 April and they've only just started to interview. GX my cover will only have a short notice period in their current role. Anyway. I digress. Really glad your sugars are looking good so early into the gd diet!

Felt a bit nervy all day because this sneaky little foetus hasn't moved at all. It has taken 3 pints of cold water/juice, a bowl of rice, some sweets and lying flat on my back to entice a load of rolling and kicks. Little blighter really had me worrying. Pretty certain s/he has moved position as I feel MASSIVE and my bump feels tighter. Also think s/he is facing inwards now as kicks feel less jabby.

Nom to your dinners carrot and honey
