Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 45th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 44th grads thread is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 58th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE
for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

Ffs. Grin not Envy

5hell · 15/02/2016 15:27

well done for taking a sickie to look after yourself feathered so sorry your mini-break was a bit spoiled :( do not fret about the first ABs, if they were that bad they'd have come with a much clearer non-pregnancy warning. how come you usually have your own to take with you?

sky SO pleased to hear minisky is ok, and you can get some proper GD advice too...sorry you must have had such a fretful night last night!

gx for a good MW on thurs tri

pee i'm another in team 'ant-plac' ...didn't feel movements/kicks until after 20w, dh first got to feel them at 24w i think.

Huzzah for mini sky!

FeatheredTail · 15/02/2016 16:00

Phew Sky - that must be a relief! Go mini Sky! Enjoy the rest of your day without worrying.

5hell, I'm prone to cystitis and get it once or twice a year. Not the "ooh stingy wee" type either; the proper full on pissing razor blades/feverish/sweating type. I haven't had it for about a year so was due a dose! The docs are usually understanding and give me a short course if I'm going away, just in case.

Poor you Pretz, hope MiniPretz gets seen soon and you're ok.

FeatheredTail · 15/02/2016 16:02

Good lord, the AIBU crowd seem to have infiltrated the pregnancy board. Some odd comments on the "baby on board" badge thread!

TriJo · 15/02/2016 16:20

A hell of a lot of people on that thread who (a) don't get the reality of commuting in rush hour here, particularly in zone 1, (b) clearly had the easymode pregnancy from heaven where they were never sick, in pain or dizzy, (c) don't have kids and are just getting self-righteous for the hell of it or (d) actually are the pointy-elbowed dickhead commuters from hell.

Muppets.

/breathe

Only 9 days of having to tolerate a rush hour commute to go and they can't come quickly enough...

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 15/02/2016 16:25

Ha ha honey!

I got to see her precious face as she turned to face the scanner... she looks just like DD as a newborn (fat) Grin am hopelessly besotted already.

F#@£ me! I am only one day into my GD diet and I am STARVING. Like my stomach hurts from being so hungry... I have had 2 afternoon snacks already because even though I am exhausted I am too hungry to sleep. My blood sugars are really good. I hope I can increase my carb intake soon because I am struggling aleady Shock

FeatheredTail · 15/02/2016 16:26

Jo I know!! Seriously!! What's wrong with people?! Seemed to want to get on their high horse for, erm.... Absolutely no reason???! Or some who some weird chip about it being a London thing? Or thought it was a new thing? Or who said preggos should have to "prove" pregnancy before getting one? Or that poster who had "very hard" pregnancies and travelled "at rush hour all through central London" but who didn't wear a badge because she was "happy standing". Eh??? By the time I got to the end I was too cross/utterly baffled to post anything!

FeatheredTail · 15/02/2016 16:27

Awww Sky!!

What can you eat?? Do you have to reduce everything or just carbs?

SecondCupOfTea · 15/02/2016 16:37

Haven't fully RTFT, but a quick hug for Sky, glad to hear all is ok. Re the GD, we can have your Mini Eggs, save you worrying about them going off.

Sorry to hear of your miserable holiday Feathered, but Budapest will still be there in a few years time, so you can go again (it's a fab city, if you get the chance to enjoy it).

Hmm, no mention of HV from my midwives. Mind you, anyone that comes to our house right now gets given a paint brush and pointed to an area that needs doing Grin

Had my 36wk appointment today (last one with GP). All ok.

Have bought 2 extra large pineapples, and am on 2 cups of RLT a day. Have also ordered my TENS machine. First 'proper' day of maternity leave today, so I treated myself to a haircut as well. Now gonna put the washing in, put the dishwasher on, have a quick wipe round the kitchen, then put my feet up for the rest of the day. Hurrah!

5hell · 15/02/2016 16:38

feathered/tri I had to go check out that thread...amazing that people can get so worked up about a 4cm badge!! I'm too scared to admit over there that i've got one pinned to my coat right now but do not commute into london, in fact I drive to work! Shock Wink dh (who is a commuter) got it for me earlydoors and i really only put it on so he wouldn't be offended! Grin...how do you think that'd go down over there?!! i should probably ltb for being controlling

Peenut · 15/02/2016 17:10

Just checked out that thread too! Interesting! I didn't actually know badge wearing was a thing in London –but I can see why it would be. I hate that panicky wedged in a corner feeling you get when it's busy on the Tube, would be horrible when pregnant. Ew, the onion armpit smell would be too much for my new ultra sensitive sense of smell!

Cute you saw the baby's face Sky!

FeatheredTail · 15/02/2016 18:01

Hahaha 5hell! Double dare you to drop that into the thread Wink

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 15/02/2016 18:02

feathered I think there are different stages of it but the one I am attempting is basically Atkins. I am only allowed 1 serving of complex carbs per meal and low carb snacks. I missed morning snack because I was in consultation for so long and had a chicken leg, a scoop of rice, and broccoli for lunch. Since then I have needed a snack every hour and I am so hungry I feel on the verge of a breakdown. I have had: 1 cup fat free sugar free yogurt, 2 handfuls of pecans, half a hartleys sugar free jelly, a babybel, a stalk of celery with a teaspoon of peanut butter, a tin of tuna with a bit of mayo and mustard, and I am drinking a hot water and fresh lemon juice to try to soothe the hunger pangs in my stomach while I wait for DP to get home and make me dinner. I am literally on the verge of tears. This can't be right can it?

FeatheredTail · 15/02/2016 18:02

Tea hurray for first day of mat leave and new hair cut! How's the RLT? Have you brewed one up yet?

lildottie · 15/02/2016 18:03

Oh sky what a relief! Glad all is OK. I thought it was just refined white carbs that were bad but wholemeal was OK? Maybe have small amounts of brown rice with dinner or lunch?

FeatheredTail · 15/02/2016 18:08

Sky you poor love!! Can you crack open another babybel and boiled egg to keep you going? Or some natural yoghurt mixed with tomato paste and some crudités? It's horrible feeling hungry. Atkins is was my go to diet whenever I want(ed) to drop a few pounds and I remember the pain of bread deprivation very well. It must be SO HARD during pregnancy. I'm sure your body will settle into it after a few days - the carb cravings will calm down and it will feel way more manageable. Only a few more weeks. What's your DH going to make for dins?

SecondCupOfTea · 15/02/2016 18:16

Sky homemade fruit smoothies with milk and fat free yoghurt? I use frozen berries (raspberries and blueberries) plus half a banana in mine (and a squeeze of honey). They are very filling. The fat free yoghurt that Aldi sell is by far the lowest in sugar content compared to the branded stuff and most other supermarket own brands.

Feathered, yes, I have the Clipper organic RLT, and as long as you don't leave it to steep for more than 3 mins or so it is lovely (a bit bitter if it steeps for too long).

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 15/02/2016 18:38

I'm allowed 1 cup of basmati or brown rice or skin on potatoes or 1 slice of wholemeal bread with meals. No fruit with meals and only one portion of fruit (half a grapefruit or a slice of melon) per hour as a snack and no mixing types of fruit. Protein dairy and veg ok along with pulses and sweet potato, quinoa etc. From what I can tell from reading online this is the more extreme version of the diet even though I am only borderline. I wanted to argue for more complex carbs but she kept threatening me with stillbirth which of course scared the living daylights out of DP Hmm wondering why they left me hanging for 2 weeks with no follow up after my results if the risk of hurting my baby was so imminent?! Angry gosh I have the hangry rage already... I hope this passes. I literally have the sweats.

fruitlovingmonkey · 15/02/2016 18:58

Raving nutters over on the badge thread! Who would have thought a pg woman needing a seat could be so contentious?
Sky glad everything is ok with Minisky. Sounds like the GD team are being extra strict to make up for the time they missed by being useless. Sweet potatoes are delicious, I often bake them and fill them with homemade pesto and mozzarella then put them under the grill. Quinoa is good cooked with beetroot and goes an amazing shade of pink.

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 15/02/2016 19:16

Oooh fruit you do know how to make a viroid happy. That sweet potato recipe sounds luuuuuuuush.

I've had my dinner now and a rant with DP over consultant and feeling much better...

Yay for mat leave Tea!

ZylaB · 15/02/2016 20:22

sky cheese, and meat and more cheese and meat! Roast a chicken and snack on it, I used to cook bacon until it was crunchy and eat it like crisps :)

Not the most healthy, but yummy and carb free and it's onky for 5 weeks!

Sorry goes back to lurking

5hell · 15/02/2016 20:47

Mmmmmm bacon!

OP posts:
SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 15/02/2016 20:50

zyla that made me giggle with glee! Bacon chips mmmmmmmm... I think ramping up on protein is the way forward for sure. Gonna try to watch my salt intake though Grin

lildottie · 15/02/2016 21:57

sky that sounds ridiculous! I don't envy you at all!
