Hello, welcome newbies. Exciting to be feeling movement master! I think I have too since I know what I'm looking for this time.

16 weeks today and still feeling sick. Hoping not much longer now. Does anyone know where I can get navy maternity tights? ASOS do a pair but they're hand wash only!

Arborea · 16/03/2016 21:37

Debenhams?

Annarose2014 · 16/03/2016 22:57

Had my booking in today which took 4 HOURS cos the department seems to be an admin clusterfuck. But thankfully when I eventually got to see the Doc she referred me to the Midwives Clinic for future visits which is much speedier.

I've given in to maternity clothes as I'm looking legitimately pregnant now (13 weeks but quick turnaround from last one so stomach muscles are crap) and I'm so much comfier in them. I splurged this time on a pair of Seraphine underbump jeans and best. purchase. ever. They actually dont fall down! Though you have to size down as they're generous.

Symptoms are completely gone this week and yep, its definately unnerving! Confused

ninecoronas · 16/03/2016 22:59

Thanks everyone for your calming words...yes Custard, it did turn out to be a massive fart in the morning!Blush Still, I wasn't quite convinced until I had my scan this week and saw it kicking about happily.

Hello fellow new joiners!

September 2016 (Thread 2) Booking in and 12 weeks scans soon!
Sharesinpampers · 17/03/2016 19:58

Thanks arborea, they have them! Ordering tonight.

So glad all well nine, had been thinking about you. Great scan pic!

Four hours for booking in is a very long time anna! Hope you had snacks with you. Must be good to be feeling a bit better too.

Hope everyone else is doing well

Arborea · 18/03/2016 15:20

No problem Pampers. I am counting down the days til my scan on Wednesday. Feeling a bit anxious that something is wrong because I still can't feel my uterus (damn me for going on the bump website which suggests that it should be palpable now. I can't remember what week it was last time and I am a bit lardy but there have been a few ladies on here whose scan has revealed bad news and I've convinced myself the same will happen to me Sad)

balalalala · 18/03/2016 15:24

arborea if it helps I'm 16+1 and can't for the life of me feel my uterus but the midwife found it just fine today.

I'm currently on the 3rd day of a horrendous cold and chesty cough and just feel like death warmed up. Really hoping it passes soon :-(

Annarose2014 · 18/03/2016 16:33

I only found it this morning cos I was digging around quite aggressively with my Doppler trying to find the heartbeat for ages. Eventually I was like "wow it's really hard in there! ......oh right, uterus, lol"

Gemma365 · 18/03/2016 22:12

I've been more silently reading in here but had my scan Wednesday so feel I can join in a bit more now. My little sister lost her baby at 16 weeks from a brain tumor so I've been worried to get excited. Scan is all good though. I'm 13+2 with my first. I wore maternity jeans today and someone asked if I'm pregnant but I thought it was a bit risky, I am (or was) quite slim though. Hope everyone is starting to feel better.

balalalala · 19/03/2016 09:24

Lovely scan picture!

0hCrepe · 19/03/2016 14:16

Got 2 pairs of maternity jeans for £13 from next clearance sale today! I already have quite a bump but look massive wearing these! So comfy though. Arborea I and many of us have felt very anxious waiting for the fist scan. Really hope it goes well for you.

Arborea · 19/03/2016 14:55

Thanks guys. Another day closer!

Shanster · 19/03/2016 23:33

Lovely to see all the scan photos! I had my 16 week check up this week and am starting to look really properly pregnant. Went into Gap today and bought some trousers for work in the sale, then found out all maternity sale stuff was an additional 50% off...so I ran back in and bought loads of stuff. For $140 I think at least my work wardrobe is sorted until September. Now I need some shorts, its getting warm here already.
Anyone else just really hungry now? I'm like a teenage boy, every two hours I'm hungry. I can see the extra weight is not just going to my tummy, I seem to be gaining about 1lb per week right now, must try to eat least choose healthy options!!

Bobbycatz · 20/03/2016 07:27

Hi, I'm a little late to the party but was hoping to join. I'm 13+2 due 23 Sept and had my official scan on Friday all was looking good and suddenly it all feels very real! Looking forward to getting to know you ladies

Sharesinpampers · 20/03/2016 19:44

Hello bobby, welcome Smile

Pregnancy hormones are running riot. I cried tonight because my local Chinese takeaway is being taken over by new management Blush I'm not even enjoying their food anyway due to stoopid pregnancy nausea!

Will find a grip before work tomorrow

kukucachoo · 20/03/2016 21:03

Hey bobby, I've got the same due date Grin

Another newbie here, hello!

I held off joining until after the scan. I just had to make sure there was actually a baby. This is my second pregnancy, I already have a very highly 'spirited' toddler. No idea how I'll deal with two...

Sharesinpampers, I feel your pain. I'm still upset that our local Chinese changed management. They stopped doing big spring rolls SadSad I also feel your nausea pain. Week 13 and I'm still sick 3 times a day. Shouldn't we all be feeling better by now?

Annarose2014 · 21/03/2016 13:51

So the week after my nausea stopped I've come down with a D&V bug. Sad

GP can't give me anything except Dioralyte and if that doesn't work its the EPU.

Bobbycatz · 23/03/2016 08:55

Oh no Anna hope you're feeling better?

Does anyone feel that there in a bit of an inbetween stage now. 12 weeks was such a milestone and now I feel like I'm waiting for 20weeks so I can start buying stuff and get prepared for baby. Have people decided if their going to find out the sex?

13+5

0hCrepe · 23/03/2016 09:19

Yes back to the waiting game, with no real way of knowing if everything's ok. I'm 14+4 now and have so much more energy now and not feeling sick anymore which I'm really enjoying. Worrying though about everything- I did some light cycling yesterday and went in a warm swimming pool, but worry all the time I might harm the baby!
I'll definitely be finding out I did with my 2 older dc, I love knowing, what about you?

Annarose2014 · 23/03/2016 09:29

Still quite unwell - viral gastroenteritis so not fun. But hopefully I'll be coming out of it in the next 24 hrs. I kept fluids down eventually so was able to stay at home.

We're definitely finding out. We found out with DS and it was a lovely bonding experience in those endless weeks before birth. I was also able to fall in love with the idea of having a boy, whereas I'd kinda wanted a girl before. You start looking at all the little toddler boys on the street! And he's been such a joy that now I'm actually quite ambivalent about the possibility of having a girl this time!

Also want to find out cos this is our last. So our forever family will be either boy&boy or boy&girl and I want to adjust to either notion.

balalalala · 23/03/2016 09:50

The 16 week midwife appointment helps break up the wait as you get to hear the heartbeat. I'm now back to counting down to the 20 wk scan - three weeks tomorrow! Whoop whoop! We'll definitely be finding out, I've never been good with surprises.

Arborea · 23/03/2016 13:47

Hello everyone, I am relieved to say that the scan went fine: baba is alive and kicking, and the right size for my dates. Due date is confirmed as 29th September, and I can now start to tell people!

I wasn't told the NT measurement, but could see from the screen that it was coming up at 1.2 - 1.7mm so I am hopeful that's a good sign. I'm now going to keep my fingers crossed that I don't get a call in the next week or so, and just have normal blood results that come through the post.

BTW I will definitely be asking about the sex, we'll struggle to agree on names as it is!

Bobbycatz · 23/03/2016 17:05

We're undecided on finding out, my DH wants to keep it a surprise whilst I'm leaning towards finding out.

Aborea glad your scan went well, I'm waiting for my results and hoping everything's ok.

Annabrooke90 · 25/03/2016 07:43

Hi everyone :)

Had my 16 week private scan yesterday, after a discrepancy with dating at my 12 week scan (gave me a date which was impossible as I'd have only been 5 days since conception and I know when I ovulate based on the horrible pain I get so it was definitely 10 days before I got the positive, baby was so curled up they said that could be the reason) anyhow baby was measuring 16+1 to 16+2 on all measurements so perfect for the dates I knew. Baby was also confirmed as a little girl :) which is very strange to hear after four boys. Attached a picture sorry if it has gone sideways.

Missed out on abit so going to have a catch up.
