Tomboy thanks so much that's perfect.

Betty sounds like you're having a tough time, sounds really tough going. Really hope you're feeling better soon.

Biking we're scan buddies, hope yours goes well, how exciting you'll know whether it's a boy or girl by this time tomorrow! Are you still hoping to keep it a secret between you and DH? I'm feeling nervous too, just hoping all is well, can't wait to see the baby again.

emma85x · 17/01/2016 20:18

I have been so irrational and wound up today!! Poor DH. Congratulations on some wonderful scan results and good luck to those having scans over the next couple of days!

BiffleRoo · 17/01/2016 20:33

Scan day tomorrow for me too.

kezod · 17/01/2016 20:41

Gosh it feels like everyone is so far ahead of me! Eastend we're scan buddies (sorry I know you asked a while ago).
After feeling movements from about 13-16 weeks I now haven't really felt anything and its worrying me a bit! Gosh this pregnancy lark is stressful!

BiffleRoo · 17/01/2016 21:03

Snap on the movements kezod I had a few weeks of sporadic movement, then nothing and and I've just started to get a few more in the last couple of days.

emma85x · 17/01/2016 21:13

Good luck biffleroo

Billi77 · 17/01/2016 21:25

Place marking! Due 23 june. Scan on 5th February. 1st DC

Potkettleblack2 · 17/01/2016 21:37

I can't update the spreadsheet either-could someone do mine? I'm due on the 3rd June, we are team yellow, I had my scan on Fri (the 15th) and I already have a DS who is 2. Oh, and we love in Surrey.

MrsPopper we're the same on names-DH and I have no names we both like! Oh well-I guess we have a few months to sort it out!

20 week scan part 2 is tomorrow for me!

Eastend2015 · 17/01/2016 22:10

Kezod, Biffle, exactly the same on movements! 17+6 and not felt much all week then DH returned yesterday and movements started again thankfully! The midwife also said sporadic movement is very normal at this stage.

Also- people keep saying on the thread we shouldn't be sleeping on our back- I really can't sleep any other way, is it really that bad?

MagicDucky · 17/01/2016 22:11

Congratulations on the scans ladies! What a lovely picture Gnomette!!

I'm so sick of being sick! Treated ourselves to a dominos tonight and I lost it just now. I just want to cry! When is this sickness going to end?! That on top of terrible back pain and awful mood swings just makes me want to stay in bed for the rest of my pregnancy Sad

Sorry for the moan. Hope everyone else is feeling better!

TomboyGirl · 17/01/2016 22:40

Potkettle, you're now on the spreadsheet! We are due on the same date btw!

Hope you feel better soon MagicDucky.

LouLou, my back, shoulders and face are covered in spots I look like a tortilla Confused

17caterpillars1mouse · 18/01/2016 03:00

I'm still suffering with sickness too magic at 20 weeks. I'm sick almost every day. I do have the occasional sick free day. My mum had sickness throughout her pregnancies and figured I'll be the same. Think baby is vegetarian because I cant eat meat without being sick within half an hour

bikingintherain · 18/01/2016 03:09

Cheers how nice to be scan buddies!

I am still hoping to keep it to just us, but I'm a little skeptical about whether we'll manage! But I do hope so. haven't decided if telling you lot will help or hinder that!

I woke up from dreaming about baking to realise I haven't baked anything for DD's bday at school tomorrow. Birthday's are big here and at school they make a real fuss of you and your supposed to take something in for all your classmates to eat. Maybe I should whip up some chocolate cornflakes now? Or just go to bed and buy something from the shop in the morning?! Either way I imagine the insomnia is going to keep me awake for a while yet.

bikingintherain · 18/01/2016 03:15

magic and caterpillars, I have so much sympathy for you being so sick. It's such a tough road for you. Lots of Flowers and when you are feeling better that will be replaced with Chocolate! Don't ever worry about talking about it too much on here, I can imagine that at times it feels like a very lonely place to be.

Mrspopper · 18/01/2016 07:02

Biking we kept it a secret last time. Was quite fun having something only we knew. Good luck scans today.

laughingGnomette · 18/01/2016 09:45

belle - thanks :) the 3D images were suprisingly clear. Slightly alien-like still as he doesn't have the baby fat yet but lovely to see. I hope you get some nice clear pictures too!

Belleboo23 · 18/01/2016 10:11

Aw I hope so it's making me look forward to it even more seeing your lovely picture.

I've woken up full of cold going to try and last as long as I can without paracetamol doubt it will do much anyway.

lemonslemonslemons · 18/01/2016 10:46

Hey girls! I've been lurking a bit, so am sorry for not posting for a while. So sorry to those who are still suffering with sickness. Thankfully mine has passed, although I am still sick occasionally. When I was pregnant with DD I was sick until past 20 weeks so I really know what you are going through Flowers

I have my scan tomorrow afternoon and am very excited to find out what we are having! DD is determined to have a sister but I must admit, I would be thrilled if it was a boy! My parents have 6 granddaughters and no grandsons!!

Have lots of you already had the 20 week scans?

Lovelybeano · 18/01/2016 11:35

Now that my daughters pantomime has finished I should get more time to nip on here to catch up with you all. Is there a Facebook group going? I wouldn't mind joining that now everyone knows about baby :)
Have any of you thought about slings yet? Im trying to research them, but recommendations are always better Smile there's so many on the market now xx

MagicDucky · 18/01/2016 12:00

Thanks guys. I hate being such a moan all the time, it's all I seem to do these days.

Had a very last minute appointment with the physio therapist the other day about my back. He thinks I must have jarred it when I fell down the stairs and going to work and running around afterwards just made it worse. I can't even roll over in bed and sneezing make me cry. Hopefully with a bit of rest it will pass quick.

Just wondering if anyone has been looking at double prams? My DD is one going to be 2 when Bunny arrives and won't cope with long walks. Has anyone got any recommendations? I want something that can be a single and a double when needed.

Torfhinn · 18/01/2016 13:36

Hi all, this thread moves so fast. I can't keep up!

Been taking it easy as I've had a big SPD flare up and am trying to be really careful while it settles down. Feeling a lot better today, thankfully.

I had a long look at doubles magic but decided to wait and see as they are so expensive and look heavy and bulky. Also, most of them won't allow baby to rear face which I want for the first few months. The best one I found was the baby jogger city select double so it might be worth looking at that. Today, I've been looking at buggyboards and saw that the universal Lascal maxi can come with a saddle for the little one to sit on. I think that seems like my best option as I'm not how long DS will stand when he's only just 2. The two together will be about £100.

My scan is tomorrow as well lemons! I'm finding I'm less excited this time knowing we won't be finding out the sex... seems to me I'm just going for the 'anomoly' part without the exciting reveal at the end. I'm sure I'll get excited when I see little bub on the screen tho Grin

Beano, I prefer my wrap sling to the soft structured as it is more comfortable and conforming and felt like I could get it really secure around my son. I have a manduca soft structured carrier which is great but always felt like my son slightly got lost in it when he was small, even though he was a 9lb-er! I would recommend you buy a fairly cheap stretchy wrap and then find a sling library to try out other more expensive brands once you have baby to try them with. Just don't buy a baby bjorn! This page is helpful: babywearinginternational.org/what-is-babywearing/safety/

jbiscuits · 18/01/2016 13:43

beono is there a sling library near you? You can then borrow and try different ones before committing to buying anything. We've got a cheap stretchy wrap (basically a Moby) for when baby is newborn which we used for DS for a few months.

ducky we've just ordered the Graco Trekko Duo, which is currently on offer. Can't give a review yet, but I liked that the second seat comes on and off easily, and it can be used from newborn without a car seat.

JellyBaby26 · 18/01/2016 15:33

On the double front- we had a small demo on the I candy peach blossom. It looks really good and easy to change things around etc.

I think we will wait and try and do a swap with someone for our bugaboo!

JellyBaby26 · 18/01/2016 15:34

If anyone wants to join our fb group please feel free to send me a message and I'll add you!

mrsmugoo · 18/01/2016 15:41

Torfhin - I'm slowly resigning myself to the fact I'll end up with a double. No way is DS going to but ready to walk everywhere in only 4-5 months! It's so hilly round here, even I struggle! I'm looking at Phil & Teds at the moment as I think they do baby rear facing and toddler to the front (?) and car seat adopters.
