Ambergogo, my niece was born with one kidney. She was on antibiotics for months but she is completely fine. You really wouldn't know and it doesn't affect her at all - she's now 2.

22 weeks now and feeling movement every day. It's mostly low down unless I am lying down and then it seems to move up. I am using Bio-oil but have nevertheless developed some small but obvious stretch marks on my breasts. I knew I would as I had them as a teenager.

Is anyone else finding it hard to breathe sometimes? I seem to be struggling at my desk come 3pm and just want to go home. Counting down the days now until I am off - 22nd April! It can't come quick enough.

mrsmugoo · 13/02/2016 11:51

Oh that's a nice early mat leave! I'm finishing may 13 th.

iamdivergent · 13/02/2016 12:07

I'm finishing 31st May!

Mrspopper · 13/02/2016 12:43

I think I'll finish beginning of May. Can't wait!

MollieRos · 13/02/2016 12:55

I'm finishing 13th May too... 13 weeks to go! (not that I'm counting...) Smile

I actually thought I had food poisoning when I was throwing up this morning, it was so awful. But no, turns out it's just pregnancy!

Osirus not struggling to breathe as such, but I do get out of breath stupidly easily with the slightest exertion.

jellybelly85 · 13/02/2016 14:05

I'm starting mat leave on 18th April. My work situation is quite complicated, so I'm taking mat leave earlier than I would otherwise... but then we are hoping to move to Yorkshire and set up home, so I'm sure I'll have plenty to keep me busy with in the 2 months before my due date!

A frequent member of the insomnia club here too. Seem to be regularly waking up at 3am these days... yay, pregnancy!

sambababy · 13/02/2016 14:17

Hello everyone. Is there room for a latecomer? 22wks with DC2 (DD1 is 1y 9m) due 18th June. Currently living in Brazil.

laughingGnomette · 13/02/2016 14:21

Wow, maternity leave envy for those of you leaving work in April. I'm not due to go until May 27th... I may crack though if the commute becomes too much. I desperately want as much time after the baby is born as possible though. We'll see...

LouLou030783 · 13/02/2016 14:25

I was contemplating working until 10th June so 38 weeks am I mental?

jellybelly85 · 13/02/2016 14:31

I think decisions on mat leave are very personal Loulou - had a colleague who was working until 38 weeks (she's currently 36wks), so it's do-able!

Also started to get back ache when doing the washing up, and achey bum and one side of my hips when walking the dog... is this the relaxin kicking in?

Belleboo23 · 13/02/2016 14:32

I've not decided yet, does statutory maternity pay differ if you only work part time I'm completely clueless as wasn't contracted last time

jellybelly85 · 13/02/2016 14:39

Belle full details here: www.gov.uk/employers-maternity-pay-leave

SMP for the first 6 weeks: 90% of their average weekly earnings (AWE) before tax. SMP for the remaining 33 weeks: £139.58 or 90% of their AWE (whichever is lower)

LouLou030783 · 13/02/2016 14:53

Suppose just need to say what work say I'm a scrub nurse so on my feet all day x

nehagarg · 13/02/2016 15:24

Planning to go off 13th May too. I'll be 38 weeks. Luckily I can work from home if it all becomes too much in the last few weeks. Cant wait!

I'm going onto maternity leave on the 6th may I'll be 36+3 then. Only 12 weeks left, and of that I've got 4 and a half weeks annual leave.

JellyBaby26 · 13/02/2016 15:55

I would work as late as possible as it maximizes time with baby after. That said...I actually start mine tomorrow having been on it since May 2015. My employer must LOVE me Grin

strawberrypenguin · 13/02/2016 16:12

Im going on leave 9th May but with 2 weeks annual leave going straight into mat leave after that. I'm due 5th June. Doing it that way as not sure if I'll be induced at 38wks again or not. So I'll either have 2 or (if baby sticks to dates) 4 weeks before they arrive!
Definitely feel like I'm a count down to finishing though, having real trouble focusing while I'm at work.

LouLou030783 · 13/02/2016 16:13

Did u fall preg before u went back then jelly lol

emma85x · 13/02/2016 16:50

I'm off on May 27th. I'll be 37 weeks. I'm also a teacher so on my feet a lot. DH wants me to start earlier but I'm concerned about money also everyone keeps telling me that you're always a week or two late with your first dc?!!

LouLou030783 · 13/02/2016 17:01

Emma I went in to labour 3 days late with my first X

Mrspopper · 13/02/2016 17:51

Emma I thought that but was a week early.

JellyBaby26 · 13/02/2016 17:58

Yes I did loulou. All dates worked out perfectly to the date so I wouldn't be unpaid at all!

Torfhinn · 13/02/2016 18:14

I'm planning on leaving at 37 weeks also, but only lasted until 35 weeks kat time so we'll see

Welcome sambababy, congratulations! I have a 21 month old as well Smile. We are hearing a lot about the worries in Brazil with the zika virus.... are you ok where you are?

MollieRos · 13/02/2016 18:42

I'll be 38 weeks when I plan to go off, I hope I last that long!

Welcome Samba Smile

LouLou030783 · 13/02/2016 18:42
