Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 41st grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 41sr grads thread is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 55th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE
for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates. (Except it's not because I don't know how to link to the stats sheet!)

Blimey *Molly^ why bother?? Don't forget they'll give you a lovely shave before your section!

ThursdayLastWeek · 04/12/2015 19:58

I just ate half a tin of twiglets for tea.
My body is on the edge of falling into a migraine.

CarrotPuff · 04/12/2015 20:29

There's no need to express if you want some wine. The amount of alcohol that gets into BM is minuscule, and it will go down as your body metabolised alcohol. Although my HV when first visited me and DS said if I want a drink I have to pump & dump Hmm

CarrotPuff · 04/12/2015 20:30

Actually came to say congrats lil! I bet it still doesn't feel real yet Smile

honeysucklejasmine · 04/12/2015 20:31

Molly practice run?

Thursday sounds like a balanced meal to me!

lildottie · 04/12/2015 20:41

Dear God Molly, go to a salon and get waxed love, far less faff and hassle!

Kate have you had booking in yet? My urine test at mine showed I had a urine infection and since taking the anti biotics tockear it up my exhaustion has definitely improved so I'm sure it was a symptom of the infection, worth asking them about?

carrot it felt real whilst I was sat in front of the screen looking at it thinking "that's my baby and its in me!" But now that feels like a distant dream!

MollyBloomYes · 04/12/2015 21:09

Ha ha normally I would but toddlers and salons do not mix and my parents have been amazing enough already with babysitting! I don't know what came over me, just couldn't bear the overgrown bush of sadness any more. Chalk it up to some sort of weird pregnancy irrationality!

honeysucklejasmine · 04/12/2015 21:17

overgrown bush of sadness

LOL! Epic.

jellypi3 · 04/12/2015 21:30

Grin Grin overgrown bush of sadness!!! Grin

MollyBloomYes · 04/12/2015 21:41

Smile glad to see my English degree wasn't a total waste!

pretzelpieces · 04/12/2015 21:46

molly Grin Good for you, bit of tlc for the bush if that's what makes you feel better.

MollyBloomYes · 04/12/2015 21:57

It's a bit patchy but not too awful! Will tidy it properly when I can next be arsed!

oneyorkshirepud · 04/12/2015 22:10

Grin Molly!

7cm bitches! I tried the kneeling squat thing that we were shown at Daisy birthing (like you are going to propose to someone) and they were right, you do get more room! I also blew the balloon up to 10cm to see what it looked like. Oh dear Lord.

lildottie · 04/12/2015 22:22

Woohoo pud 7cm! I do however blame you for this......

OK, so the control freak in me appears to have been released after today's scan. I have no idea when I need to do certain stuff let alone what stuff I have to do. And I've already decided my mw is useless so im going to milk you lot for all your knowledge! I'm also realising 6m isn't that long, especially as that will be 5m by the time Christmas is out the way!

What classes can/should I do?
When should I do them?
Any other jabs I need other than flu/wc we've been discussing on fb?
When do I need to buy my epi no by?
When should I plan to have the nursery ready by?
When do I need hospital bag ready by?
What else haven't I thought of yet?

Off to dig out la's list from my emails!

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 04/12/2015 22:42

Greetings viroids.

Name: Sky
DCs: DD5 and DSD6 currently housing a large girl flavoured courgette.
Best Mate: large bottle of Gaviscon

I had my first real pregnancy wobble today ladies. I cried for 20 minutes during yoga Blush I am told this is not uncommon and some kind of release/breakthrough but I suspect it might have been an anxiety attack. It was a different instructor today and I immediately got the impression she was a bit judgy or something... During the first half of the class I caught her watching me a lot. I have never done yoga before because I am not very woo so perhaps I have resting bitch face in class? Anyhow we were doing chair exercises and focusing on the breathing which is meant to be through the nose which I can't do due to a deviated septum and ongoing sinus problems. She tried to correct me in front of everyone and then I explained about my nose/sinuses and she apologized. I tried the next technique through my mouth but had to stop as my heart started pounding and I started to cry silently. I cried all the way through the 15 minute relaxation after. No sound, just tears like someone opened a tap in my eyes... I ran away asap after class as was mortified. But then felt better all day, which may have something to do with getting some good news over email on my way home... Confused

Glad your scan went well today lil and glad you're feeling better pretz

oneyorkshirepud · 04/12/2015 22:50

Hee hee.Lil, breathe my dear! Good to be getting organised but you do have lots of time. We didn't start doing anything until after the 20 week scan and still had lots of time, so don't fret.

What classes can/should I do? - Up to you. Choices tend to be NHS (in some areas, they are free) NCT (expensive but a good way to meet mummy friends. Need to book on advance), Natal hypnotherapy/hypnobirthing (expensive and may not cover some useful birthing info) and Daisy (yoga, bit of hypno and some birth education - mixed reviews but cheap and you may meet mummy friends)

When should I do them? It depends on each course, not for a while yet but you may need to book in advance.

Any other jabs I need other than flu/wc we've been discussing on fb? Not that I know of. You may have to ask for them though. My mw is pretty good but I wasn't offered the WC vaccine until too late but luckily I had already had it.

When do I need to buy my epi no by? They recommend not starting stretch training until 37 weeks (but lots of Viroids started at 36weeks). You can use it for pelvic floor strengthening from any point but it is probably a lot less faff to just get an app.

When should I plan to have the nursery ready by? Up to you! Mine was mostly done but 35 weeks, but baby will probably be in with you for 6 months anyway, it's just a nice thing to do.

When do I need hospital bag ready by? Again it's up to you. I think Bat packed hers at 40 weeks! I ordered the stuff I needed to buy at about 33 weeks and was packed a couple of weeks later.

What else haven't I thought of yet? Remember to breathe, and enjoy it! Smile

Mermaid36 · 04/12/2015 22:55

OMG I have just googled the epi-no and burst into tears....

Note to self... only look at things like that/for birth once you are more than 6wks pg and used to the idea....

honeysucklejasmine · 04/12/2015 23:04

I am 28 weeks. Haven't packed bag yet and nursery is still a mess. Planning on sorting nursery a bit tomorrow, but I need to go through all my clothes which are in there and I hate doing things like that. Then go through baby clothes i have and list what I need. So then after baby shower I can pop to shops with ready made list, as I will be 36 weeks and not fancying shopping of anything other than the "in, grab, go" type.

I was given bags of mat pads and left over nappies and the like... So will set up some bits in changing table too.

And lastly, I need to arrange fairy lights on the wall. I have command hooks (tiny ones) so just need to decide how to lay out the lights. Probably just winding back and forth across the wall! Must measure wall and lights and figure out how big I can go. (loser alert!)

Peenut · 04/12/2015 23:25

Lil, I have just read your list ... I can't answer any of your questions but will await answers and scribble them down in a notebook to think about after our scan. especially the EPi-no scary device that I only know exists because of you Viroids!

10cm balloon sounds scary Pud, you can do it though ... Pump!

Molly ah the smell of immac/burning foof! How that stuff is meant to be safe to put near foods I don't know.

First 12 weeks is so weird. Trying to stop myself getting carried away planning before I know all is OK, trying not to fall asleep/vom, trying to remind myself there is apparently a human bean growing in my tummy although I don't look pregnant.

lildottie · 04/12/2015 23:32

I thanks pud/honey I guess as there are lots of changes going on with my business ATM, my busy month in January and then having to get as much of 12m work done as possible in 4months I just need to feel in control of this bit! I know classes get booked up and alot of dates not out for next year past Jan yet so I'm thinking I need to decide so I can keep eye out for dates and book. NHS course is Fred here but my local children's centre told me at me appt they don't know what's happening there past march so no idea of there will still be classes or if they'll still be free.
Not too bothered about meeting people. I find rl people tend to just disappoint me, plus I have you lot :)
Don't know much about Daisy so need to research but from hearing you guys chat about it I like the sound of it. There is a class near me but no dates past Jan yet. Hoping dates will start appearing in new year.

Desperately trying to get dh to commit to painting the house before the baby comes! Only 7 rooms plus hall and landing to get done! And replace the bathroom!

I don't plan on doing/buying anything until after 20weeks but I need to plan when I'm doing what in advance. Only thing I'm going to do is start collecting freebies!

It's going to take me until 35weeks to decide on decor for nursery!

As for breathing, I'm saving that for labour!

lildottie · 04/12/2015 23:36

X post pee!! I have to say 12weeks has come around fast! How many wks are you. Ca t fibd you on stats sheet!
all of a sudden im accepting this might actually happen and need to take charge of it! I fear I may be the worst type of nester!

pretzelpieces · 05/12/2015 00:26

sky was it you that had cptsd? My social worker said a lot of people with past trauma or anxiety have this sort of reaction when I was talking to her about how hard I found daisy birthing classes (despite also feeling they'll be useful!). Unmumsnetty hugs.

lil I know what you mean. Making a plan for what I am doing and when helps me a lot. Now I'm mentally reviewing what I have left to get done!

oneyorkshirepud · 05/12/2015 07:43

Ha! Lil we painted pretty much our entire house and relandscaped the garden in 6 months since finding out I'm upduffed. I'm glad it done but I wouldn't recommend it!

Mermaid36 · 05/12/2015 07:50

I'm seriously considering paying for a private scan at about 8/9 wks.... Is it worth it?

Chances of me even getting a booking-in appointment before 10/11 wks are slim and from what I've heard, I might not even get a scan appointment until 14/15 wks....

5hell · 05/12/2015 08:07

sky sorry about your tears, but try not to worry about it. I'm a v experienced yogi but still really wouldn't like it if I unexpectedly got a different teacher... I have also silently cried in relaxation (sometimes it's a calm release but it does feel a bit disconcerting)
I hope u can enjoy it more next time x
