Hi just got my bfp! I'm early, 3 days before AF was due so not sure if I'm the only one with an August due date?

I was 22 weeks, I very long and irregular cycles so it was on the high end of my normal! He was a ninja baby!

Flybynight1 · 27/11/2015 22:55

Thanks lily, I feel like a total imposter though! I wonder when it'll start feeling real....?!?

Ihavetheorangehair · 27/11/2015 23:05

McDonald's is totally a craving, fly!!

Loving the ninja baby! I would adore not to know until 22 weeks. I hate hiding my pregnancy until 12 weeks and lying to people but at the same time it makes the pregnancy soooo long when you tell people early.

Lily, when is your scan?

lilygirl81 · 28/11/2015 04:55

igavetheorangehair my scan is on Thursday when I'm exactly 6 weeks, and I have my midwife appointment that afternoon too. Almost can't wait for it to be over! I've also booked a private 8 week scan just in case they decide in safe enough and don't need one, I've booked it for 23 Decemver, so we can tell our families when we see them.

Fly I think it will feel a bit more real after your AF due date, and I found getting to 5 weeks helped too. Plus when your symptoms start to ramp up, that helps. I think though, it might take until I see it on a scan before I really believe! McDonald's is definitely a craving, my strongest one at the moment is for fresh filled pasta covered in melted butter!

BergamotMouse · 28/11/2015 08:53

Hi fly. It's only just starting to feel real for me now at 5+2, and I still forget a lot of the time.

Does anyone have tips for sore boobs? They're only 34B but my nipples are really sore. Are sleep bras only for bigger boobs or will the softness help? It doesn't help that I like to sleep on my front - doubt that will work for much longer.

lilygirl81 · 28/11/2015 10:17

bergamot my whole boobs are aching and being unsupported makes it worse which is why I have the sleep bra. It could work for you, they are fairly cheap so might be worth a try at least. I keep forgetting we are at the exact same stage!!

CurlyChick1 · 28/11/2015 19:18

Hi all, can I join? just got my bfp this morning, edd Aug 5/6th. Have 1 dd aged 14 months. Figured in for a penny! Chuffed as wanted small age gap but didn't bank on catching first try! Feeling really crampy at the moment and omg the boobs! Apart from that fine for now but had horrendous sickness last time so expecting the worst and hoping for better. Nice to 'meet' you all and look forward to chatting Grin

Jw35 · 29/11/2015 06:38

Hi curly I wanted a small age gap too, my dd is 11 months and will be 19 months when this one is born! It's going to be be fun! I'm 4.4 today :) x

Natica · 29/11/2015 06:51

Hello may I join the August thread as well. This is my first time here. My DD is July 30th.

CurlyChick1 · 29/11/2015 07:41

That is close jw. My dd will be 23 months and I hope getting to the helpful stage?! I realise I may be deluding myself. I think I'm 4.2 today going by last af. Welcome Natica

Ihavetheorangehair · 29/11/2015 09:17

Curly my youngest is 2.5 and in some ways is very helpful but in other ways she is incredibly determined and obstinate, so you could be right that younger is better! I cannot recommend a double buggy highly enough with that age gap though. Otherwise it will take hours to do the simplest jobs. Jw I know you were talking about ones earlier. I had a baby jogger city mini. It's a side by side which is better I think as nobody wants to sit in the back seat usually! It folds really easily and the basket underneath is really roomy. It's light (for a double). And fits through a standard doorway. I actually bought a macclaren double after, thinking it would be lighter and more convenient and I hated it. It was less sturdy but also heavy and awkward to push. You can usually pick up a city mini cheaply enough on eBay. I used to power hose mine and it would come up like new!

FourForYouGlenCoco · 29/11/2015 10:20

Hi Curly and Natica, welcome and congratulations!
Ihave I love the city mini! I had the single for DD and it's bloody brilliant. And have come across the double and agree that it's fab.
I accidentally fell asleep putting DD to bed last night, slept from half 8 til 9am! Feel much much better this morning, less nauseous than I've been all week, so obviously needed the kip.
Hope everyone's enjoying their weekends despite the horrible weather!

lilygirl81 · 29/11/2015 10:28

Curly & Natica hi and congratulations!

I was wondering, do you think we should have a stats thread? I think we are suddenly going to start seeing an increase.

I was out last night, thankfully the drink was really expensive so there were a few of us on tap water which was good. I did drive as well just to completely cover myself.

CurlyChick1 · 29/11/2015 11:59

Oh no I hadn't even thought about pushchairs! Thanks Ihave

Jw35 · 29/11/2015 13:12

Thanks for the recommendation of a city jogger I will have a look! :)

Yes let's do a stats thread. I'm not sure what one looks like though?

lucybearbear looks like we are pretty local, did you decide on a hospital in the end?

lilygirl81 · 29/11/2015 18:49

I've set up the Stats thread, not sure if we should maybe add a section for scans or appointments, but we can see how we feel. I can't link to it because I'm using the app, but will sort that tomorrow at work. Smile

Flybynight1 · 29/11/2015 19:09
