Ooh it's all getting a bit exciting! I'm convinced baby's going to be late (sure I know when I ovulated, 3 days after NHS calculated date, plus me, DH and all our sibs were late babies) and hoping he's going to stay put cause maternity leave doesn't start til I'm 38+4 and I want a break!

We aren't sorted with names either- have a very short shortlist and have agreed to wait and see what he suits... sods law it'll be none of them...

clarabellski · 19/01/2016 09:16

Hi everyone

Had a chuckle at that thread zebra and also, a whole board full of classic threads, I didn't know that existed before! I must try not to look this week as I'm still at work and have a lot of handover sh*te to get through....

madsaz I'll have fingers, toes etc crossed for you on Thursday.

We've got names ready for either eventuality handbag. It did take a while but think we're both happy with the choices. Funny thing is, if we ever have a second child and it is a different sex (where is the 'horrified face' smiley), DH thinks we can't use the other name, as it belongs to the first one! Arf...

rufus I don't even need to sneeze for a bit of pee leakage at the moment! Blush Constant viligence is required!

clarabellski · 19/01/2016 09:24

(*horrified face at thought of another child, not that it would be different sex from the first one!!!!!)

NorthernChinchilla · 19/01/2016 09:33

The thing that worried me was the fact that I'd escaped wet knickers syndrome so far haq! Got wind and furry belly instead Wink Really glad you've got your HB sorted too, but what unnecessary stress for you.

We decided on a name pretty early on, and have got the middle names sorted too. Far different from DS when it took aaaaages, and all my negotiation skill to get something agreed!

Whoknewitcouldbeso · 19/01/2016 09:34

Have my scan today at 1.30pm to double check the measurements of last week and hopefully come up with a new set of indicators that say all is well in there 😁

Totally shitting myself.

Sighing · 19/01/2016 09:39

Thinking of you for your scan today whoknew.
Namewise. Theoretically we've decided. But i still have a reservation. Based on our first choice ... which became off the table when used by close family Grin.

Posey01 · 19/01/2016 09:48

No agreed names here either which I'm finding quite stressful! - both have ones we love, but aren't agreeing - I really didn't think it would be this hard! Still - we have 6 weeks when 'Baby X' is born to decide Hmm

Good Luck Madaz - I just read on NCT page that only 4% are breech after 37 weeks - I'm in the same position as you but it would just be nice to mentally prepare either way wouldn't it! We've decided against the ECV though...but I might try some acupuncture soon...

Flowers whoknew

Eeek, we're nearly running out of thread, I'll start a new one!!!

MaryEllen1 · 19/01/2016 10:58

handbag we have the same issue with names, don't like either of the other's choices although we do have 2 names we both agree on so that's a start I guess!

On the damp knickers front, what is that all about lol some days are better than others!

Also always panicking when I need to sneeze, I just have to hope that I don't need a wee at the same time after a mishap a few weeks ago! Grin

MidnightRun · 19/01/2016 11:08

Thanks everyone. Called the midwife this morning who has confirmed its not BH. Got to go in for bloods and a few checks tomorrow (soonest I could get!) having a lot of pain below my ribs too so she's wanting to get me fully checked over. Hopefully just my body's way of preparing though :)

jellypi3 · 19/01/2016 11:45

Good luck today whoknew :)

Sighing · 19/01/2016 11:47

X midnight thinking of you

Newlywed123 · 19/01/2016 12:03

madsaz hopefully baby will turn alone, its got a couple of days too!

Haquoi Maybe! I was having alot of mini tightenings straight after but it could of been due to irritation after the procedure, the stitch definitely did its job Grin. Ive been having quite strong contractions since. They last about 50-80 seconds starting with bad back ache and come every 5-15 minutes for an hour/an hour and a half then stop for a few houra then start again Confused

So it looks like things may be starting, but could take a while. Ah well

Newlywed123 · 19/01/2016 12:04

Good luck today whoknew hopefully it was just a bad femur measurement! Flowers

HandbagFan · 19/01/2016 12:06

Newlywed How exciting! Fingers crossed either things kick start or calm down - no one wants that to linger for days! How exciting you could be on your way to meeting your little person!

Rufus200 · 19/01/2016 12:13

Just had my check up, cervix has shortened and mucus plug is moving through on scan. Dr reckons 1 week but c-section is 2 weeks today! May have to move in with my mum next week as I'm too scared about going into labour at home while DH is at work. Sneezed at least 10 times this morning and not a drop so not quite sure why my pelvic floor quit on me last night. I had really painful BH last night in bed, hardly any sleep, not sure if baby is waking me up or my body is.

goodnightdarthvader1 · 19/01/2016 12:19

oh the damp knickers!! I've been wearing pantyliners for the last 4 months, it's non-stop leaking, and I swear I'm starting to get fanjo rot (sorry!!!) I had to air it out yesterday before bed.

I've ended up with thrush :( Rushed to the doctors, paranoid that little one will get it on the way out!

madsaz76 · 19/01/2016 12:23

Damp knickers - tick
Aches when walking - yep but not quite braxton hicks
Sense of mild panic -tick
Near fight with chavvy teenager who flung a car door into ours while I was sat in passenger seat - ooh yes. Cheeky bint thought car was empty and was going to drive off. Realised I'm not really in a fit state for my usual verbal grumpiness

I'm ok - it'd just bump tender without prodding so reckon I am too much of a wuss. Not going for vaginal breech as they don't have that much experience with it anymore and I'm getting into Marvin the miserable robot territory (it'll all go wrong etc)

Sounds like everyone is properly gearing up & it is exciting. All the false starts and odd aches are just frustrating though.....
