New thread! Have to admit that I thought up this title at the weekend and have been itching to post it - how sad is that!!

OP posts:

CaptainDippyClausWithABump · 06/12/2006 19:55

doginsantasgrotto · 06/12/2006 19:56

Hi Katy
Well, the chart is in disagreement with my sonographer!!

weewishyouamerryonion · 06/12/2006 19:59

CaptainDippyClausWithABump · 06/12/2006 20:00

to chart thing - good fun though!!

AngeGabriel · 06/12/2006 23:09

Panty Liners I'll join that clubOnly way I know to manage. I also did my exercises last time and only had a c-section not a 'proper birth' as I've been told so shouldn't be suffering.

As for the chart, it says I'm having a pink one. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Great news CD that you have a date for moving although that'll be a bit stressful moving so close to Christmas. Be thinking of you. Will you have internet access? Number 1 priority I should think

DingDongWaspEllyonHigh · 07/12/2006 05:15

Oh god - I SOOO can't sleep - have given up.

I'm only 'caught out' on unexpected cough's /sneezes at the mo. So desperately trying to remeber to do the pf's whenever I remember - thread like this helps!

HI newbies and hugs iath and Smole, some good news there, even if it;s mainly wait abit longer.

Right might have to try & get a couple more hours kip.

weewishyouamerryonion · 07/12/2006 08:26

dingdong - poor you with no sleep. we will need to keep a stock of old 80's movies at hand for such times... pretty in pink, breakfast club, st elmos fire (am i really showing my age??

mistletoejo · 07/12/2006 09:31

Aaah, St elmos fire. That takes me back [fond memory emoticon]!!

SparklySnowflakeKid · 07/12/2006 09:55

Top Gun

HollyandMistletoeforever · 07/12/2006 10:03

One day's shopping!!! That has taken me the best part of an hour to catch up on, and I forgot to take notes!

Gender chart was right with me!

SMOLE - so far so good. We'll all be thinking of you on the 15th.

Welcome to Wyebird (how I hated that bird on TV when my DS1 was little!!!)

Ah, the Breakfast Club - I LOVED that movie so much! And St Elmo's Fire. I started calling my step mother my step monster, which, come to think of it, is still pretty accurate.....

Glad it's not just age making me pee when I sneeze !

MERRYBUGMUM - How about Samuel (for Beckett), William (for Faulkner), Siegfried (Sassoon), which btw I love and would set of Tristan nicely! Seamus (Heaney), Patrick (Kavanagh) - my favourite poet or..... jump out of the box and call him John, for Steinbeck or what you will. I really love John, and you hardly ever hear it any more?

GOT to do some work!

hotlipsmummy · 07/12/2006 10:25

at the chart... says bean will be a boy (which is what I suspect) but that DS was a girl !

H&MF - I agree re John, nice name that you don't hear too much these days. I always think its a "proper" John with an H rather than Jonathan/Jon.

Right got to work too as have a mw appointment this afternoon.

we1becomes3kings · 07/12/2006 10:39

I am having one of those arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh days today.
Dh decided to go for a beer or 10 last night so he kept getting up to go to the bog all night waking me up
Then at 4 this morning DD started up crying as she has caught a cold from some snotty kid a her xmas party, I have just put her back to bed afer spending all morning with her dangling off my legs wailling at me.[head exploding emoticon]
Feel a bit sorry for nephew he didn't get any sleep cause of DD and was up at 6 to go to work, looked very pittiful this morning.

Welcome new person can't remeber your name and haven't got the energy to look. sorry.

I am off to bed if DD lets me.

wyebird · 07/12/2006 11:02

Thanks for all the welcome messages! Just to clear up the name - nothing to do with Whybird - its an 'hilarious pun' on my real name dating back to the days when I was a young and glamourous girl-about-town instead of a countryside heffer (can this tum get any bigger??? - the village grannies keep asking me if I am having twins!)

A suitable name for boy-bump is eluding us at the mo - it can't begin with a 'sss' sound or end in an 'eee' sound, so no Cecils, Simons or Harrys.

I like Leif, Elliot, Felix, Aslan, Beau and best of all, Caspar ... typically none of these are floating the other half's boat.

geordiemacmincepie · 07/12/2006 13:59

oi!!! Be...atches!!! No messages for 3 hours?? What is going on???

nuttygirl · 07/12/2006 14:05

Hi all...still cleaning my house!!!!

The chart seems to have got it right for me....unless a sausage pops out in April!!! OMG...I hope not....people have started buying girly stuff. I wish they would wait really just in case. My sis has started knitting a cardi and has already finished the matching bootees .

Sorry haven't had chance to catch up with everything but need to get on with the cleaning so that I can get xmas decs up.

geordiemacmincepie · 07/12/2006 14:09

My mums' partners gran has knit a matinee jacket.. whatever one of those is.. bless her.. she's 93, and has absolutely no concept of time!!!

SleepInHeavenlyPesha · 07/12/2006 14:58

Hello ladies

Wrote a very long post last night, mentioning everyone and everything and bloody stupid computer lost it So sorry if I miss loads out now.

Liath and smole glad both your scans went well.

Eca - spelt her name maia as that is the greek goddess spelling and dd is of course a mini goddess

Have had heartburn since the start although mostly to do with the throwing up I think. but it has started getting much worse in the evening so I'm waiting on a prescription for gaviscon from the dr cos I've almost run out now and if its anything like before I'll get through loads! Am still being sick almost every morning and feeling bit bleugh throughout the day but the up side of that is that I'm not actually eating that much (enough but not an excess) so hopefully wont have too much weight to lose once babys out

I'd forgotten I like the name Seamus! Have to see what dp thinks. His favourite at the mo is dylan and although I do really like it Im not sure, I was leaning more towards finn/finley.

at the chart from me too, says this one is pink when sonographer thinks blue and also reckons ds should have been a girl. Got dd right tho but says my sisters dd should have been a boy. 1 out of 4 isn't great really is it?!

HollyandMistletoeforever · 07/12/2006 15:38

GMMP - Your mum's partner's gran????

How old is she then? Or he for that matter? Has she got herself a toyboy? Or are you 16????

DecaTheHalls · 07/12/2006 15:41

hi folks

well I have a crappy evening last night . Started projectile vomiting AND weeing myself. Was in a complete state (dh was a love, thank goodness). Also broke loads of blood vessels in my face so looking like a beetroot today. Then the baby got into a panic and was wriggling round everywhere making me feel bad about being so sick!

So today has been a slow day. Still in pj's and thinking about dragging myself into the shower. Sorry to whinge.

Pesha - sorry to hear you're still throwing up everyday! Lots of sympathy from me ((hugs)) Liking the name Maia even more now! Greek godess, mmm...

Love the name John. Like the form Johannes. Mainly coz I knew an adorable little boy with said name!

Wyebird, love the name Casper, but dh just keeps saying 'the friendly ghost'!. Also like Jasper.

HollyandMistletoeforever · 07/12/2006 15:47

{{{{{hugs}}}}} to DecatheHalls & Sleepinheavenly Pesha for feeling so rough. I hate being sick, and luckily for me have only hurled properly once!

However, not so luckily for me, this means my appetite is undimmed (and it shone pretty brightly in the first place!) so I'm going to have shedloads of weight to lose after this one. At least I know it's my last!

geordiemacmincepie · 07/12/2006 15:53

Holly... its all a very upside down family.. mums partner is only 34, mum is 49..but not a toyboy..a toygirl... gran is 93 but she's great!!No, not 16, 24,.... bet you wish you hadnt asked now!!!

HollyandMistletoeforever · 07/12/2006 15:56

Wow - so I'm just 8 years younger than your mum ! Sounds like a wonderful family.

geordiemacmincepie · 07/12/2006 15:59

Its great, my dp is 43 which is amusing too!!!

HollyandMistletoeforever · 07/12/2006 16:02

And mine has only just turned 36, with one very rude work colleague writing in his birthday card "You're only as old as the woman you feel"!!! Grrrr!!

Whereas your DP's mates are no doubt patting him on the back and congratulating him!

geordiemacmincepie · 07/12/2006 16:06

They bought him a walking stick and cap for his 40th birthday, and me a copy of bunty and a doll set!!!!!!
