New thread! Have to admit that I thought up this title at the weekend and have been itching to post it - how sad is that!!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
baubleloo · 09/12/2006 20:18

Evening All,

Just thought I'd poke my head in and say hello to anyone who remembers me.
I haven't even got time to lurk on this thread, let alone catch up and post but just wanted to say I'm thinking of you Liath(2happy has mentioned you on the Junie thread) and best of luck with the move CaptainDippy.

Btw...Had my scan last week and it's another BOY.
Take care all and hope to post again soon...before we deliver, lol.xxx

weewishyouamerryonion · 09/12/2006 21:28

goodevening folks - how are we all??
have had a really lovely day today - big lie in which i nener take. cuddles with breakfast in bed and then pottered round town - doing dp's female relatives shopping. few coffees in quiet bar and then home to wrap gifts...

congrats deca abd baubleloo - another 2 blue beans..we must be nearly even now..

had a lovely time last night. we all looked lovely, resplendant with bumps and cleavage a-go-go! . met up for sparkly water(the fun!!)in hotel bar and then to small italian restaurant full of xmas work-do's but we had a nice secluded area! caused a slight stir as we were leaving - with 4 bumps standing up at the one time [fsmile. nice to be out, glammed up and amongst others who are due around the same time! roll on to the days when we can meet up with the babies!!

GoodKingWestCountryLass · 09/12/2006 23:04

I wouldn't mind a bouncing bunny but this babys kicks can be so hard I swear s/he wants out pretty soon

I am going to mention it to my midwife when I see her as I have not experienced kicks this strong in my previous pregnancies. I was out with my friends having dinner and I leaned back and it booted me one and my friends saw him/her kick out

Sometimes I literally shout out as baby does a huge kick totally expectedly, well I either shout out or pee my pants...

Anyone else possessed by a mid-fielder?

CaptainDippyClausWithABump · 10/12/2006 08:11

No mid-fielder here WCC, but it could just be the way the baby's positioned - my 1st was pretty hefty in the kicks dept. DH would frequently get kicked in the back in bed from about 23 weeks if he wasn't careful!!!

Glad you had a super day / Scottish meet-up evening yesterday weeOnion (and the other Scottish girlies!!) LOL @ image of 4 Bumps exiting the building!!

I'm 20 + 3 today - How time flies .....

Hello bubba - Fellow due date buddy!! Congratulations on the wee fellow - haven't got my scan til the 20th - sooooo long long to wait still!! Good to "see" you anyway ....

Right, best go and have a shower and get ready for the day .....

liatHoHoHo · 10/12/2006 08:18

Thanks bubbaloo - am very lucky to have such a fab sister. We're pretty close as it is but she has been so supportive lately (despite my dd relentlessly bullying her ds who hasn't worked out yet that being bigger than her means he can fight back LOL!). Congratualtions on your scan BTW.

MUST write the christmas cards today, haven't even done the abroad ones yet . However, I have created a Word document with a detailed daily plan for the run up to Christmas - how sad is that??

weewishyouamerryonion · 10/12/2006 09:08

LOL liath - not sad , organised!

zazas · 10/12/2006 11:27

Morning and congratulations to all the scans and news of blues and pinks.

Westcountrylass - I too have kicker! DP and I have rather muscle defined thighs (read big!) - enhanced by years of skiing / biking and we feel this one might have been given the same gene treatment! I have been feeling her kick for nearly 10 weeks and it can already take my breath away although as I know how strong they get as the baby gets bigger I know it is nothing yet! Have to admit that I love feeling the movement and when she is kicking down too hard below I push her around a bit to give me some comfort!

Well we are off with the 4 kids to see Santa! Tree is up and it is feeling like Christmas - lovely. I hope you all have a good day.

CaptainDippyClausWithABump · 10/12/2006 13:14

Good for you Liath!!

Hi zazas - Good to "see" you - LOL @ your ski-ing / biking bump! Enjoy the trip to see Santa.

Finally got DD's down for a nap, so frantically finishing Christmas letter (well, DH is, I'm on here, "talking" to you guys!! ) and packing yet more stuff up .....

CaptainDippyClausWithABump · 10/12/2006 17:47

Evening all ....... Are you hiding???

weewishyouamerryonion · 10/12/2006 18:00

i agree - quiet night. actually it is still late afternoon but it has been so dark all day. maybe we are all hibernating....

JinglebellaMoi · 10/12/2006 19:09

Evening all. The Scottish meet-up sounds fun! Glad you all had a good time. Someone mentioned a London meet up in February at a hotel with a pool - sounds like a fantastic idea and I hope it happens.

We had our 22 week scan on Friday - everything was wonderful and the Bean was perfectly average on all measurements and moving around a lot. The sonographer could tell the sex but we didn't want to find out. Still, it was wonderful and tantalizing and exciting to know that the Bean is a real little BOY or GIRL. I know that sounds crazy but there you go.

Congrats on the blue beans Dooby and Eca! I wonder how 1becomes3 is? She was to have another scan on Friday, I think.

Welcome Eddas! Good to have you with us!

CaptainDippyClausWithABump · 10/12/2006 19:18

Hello again!! Off to snuggle up with my book, cup of tea and Bakewell tart -

Glad your scan went well Jinglebella - we're not finding out either - but don't you find it a bit weird when the sonographer knows but you don't!!? I know I found it a little strange with DD1, they couldn't tell with DD2 anyway as she was all legs crossed over head and whatnot .....

Any news from 1B3????

SparklySnowflakeKid · 10/12/2006 19:50

Evening folks

Quiet day on here - we must all be busy bunnies!

Have been to my relaxation class which was lovely - dh is now cooking me what smells like a very very yummy dinner indeed - fillet of beef, potato rostis and some form of veg - he is a great cook - I am terrible!

Think we may be watching sports personality tonight - enough to bore me into sleep!

HollyandMistletoeforever · 10/12/2006 20:03

Hi all. We have had an absolutely wretched weekend, with me completely dying of a cold/flu and DH also well below par, although nothing like as bad as me (low resistance cos of pgcy?). DS2 had his nursery Christmas party yesterday (which I managaged to drag myself to) and DH's work do a huge Christmas party for all the children of the staff today, which I love but today I couldn't justify going and spreading my germs and could barely get out of bed in any case. They had a lovely time, I'm glad to say!

Very of everyone with Christmas deccies up. I love having everything ready but we have not had the time or the energy to do a thing. To make matters worse, MIL is coming next Friday, DS2 is still sleeping in our room (and it looks like he will be there over Christmas because his room is nowhere near ready yet) and MIL will have to sleep on the sofa, which is where I have been because of all my germs. At least I know it's comfy!

Feeling no better so it looks like no work tomorrow and I will need to get on the phone and cancel appointments I'd made to look at primary schools for DS2. Not exactly in the Christmas spirit to pass on these germs to other people's little ones is it???

AngeGabriel · 10/12/2006 20:24

Evening all, it's been a quiet day on here. Hope everyone has had a good weekend.

Have to agree with older men being good 14 yrs between me and DH I was 18 when we met.

Thanks dooby sorry to be nosy. I had an Em c-section last time at 34 wks for pre-eclampsia causing a variety of problems. Consultant has suggested that even if all goes well this time I should have another section because I'm 4ft 11 and only have size 3 feet apparently the size of your feet can reflect the size of your pelvic canal. I'm happy with that TBH I don't want to go through hours of labour to be told the baby is stuck and then have emergency section. That's terrible isn't it
Last time I was all for the whole natural birth preferably in water. If I had a natural this time I would be so closely monitored that it wouldn't be my idea of a natural birth.

Runnyhabbit and all those with SPD - I made the foolish mistake of wearing my heels for a night out on wed/thurs and have been paying for it ever since. They creak everytime I move and shoot terrible pain down my legs if I move at the wrong angle. No more heels for me it's really not worth the pain I'm in now. I'm really annoyed with myself because it had settled down so well with the treatment from the chiropractor and now I feel back to sqaure one

Glad scans went well for all those who've had them. Eca great news another boy

Yvie - I also am feeling kicks in my groin area, it feels very strange and I was a bit concerned about it to start with but I think it's because bean is feet down still at the moment. Feel a bit better knowing others are feeling kicks there also.

Hi baubleloo great to 'see' you. fantastic news another blue bean. They must have caught up now. Don't worry about not being able to keep up. I seem to go in fits and starts being able to keep up or not.

Glad you scottish girls had a good evening.

Jinglebellamoi - glad the scan went well. I too am having a surprise. It does feel odd though knowing other people know the sex and you don't.

SSK - relaxation classes sound lovely I too am watching the sport thing, I hate sport

Hope 1becomes3 is ok

Sorry really long post and I've probably still missed people out - sorry.

AngeGabriel · 10/12/2006 20:30

Hollyandmistletoeforever - sorry you're feeling poorly. Hope you're feeling better soon[[[Hugs]]]] to you.

Forgot to say my lovely stepdaughters put up the christmas decs yesterday. I was quite upset because I usually like to do them all myself I'm quite particular about it
Unfortunatley with the SPD pain I'm in it would have been stupid to go climbing stepladders To be fair the girls have done a pretty good job, but not as good as I'd have done

SparklySnowflakeKid · 11/12/2006 09:28

Morning ladies - back to the car saga (the one bought 2 weeks ago)... the boot lock was sorted, but also got new tyres and brakes and service - £750 - then on saturday - stopped the car and smoke poured out from underneath the car AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Well - is being picked up by breakdown this morning - and having 1 day courtesy car delivered for free - it is going back to the garage that did the service to figure out what is wrong - if it was something they did - they fix it - if it is anything else covered under warranty the garage we bought it from will cover it....and another thing...fucking cars!

Both boys are out all day and my mum is coming at lunchtime to help out just in case had no car.

Need to make reindeer dust for carol concert this week... must go get some fabric asap.

My house seems pretty in order - the tumble drier has changed my life!

Going to have cup of tea and breakfast followed by nice bath and daytime tv!

SparklySnowflakeKid · 11/12/2006 09:41

ooh - not sure what happened there witht he big space!

I have posted on the pregancy forum about my squelchly belly button - please read and post

JinglebellaMoi · 11/12/2006 09:47

Thanks for the congrats on the scan - I agree: it IS definitely weird when the sonographer knows the sex and you don't!!

about your car woes SSnowflake! I hope everything gets sorted out with a minimum of hassle.

Sorry to hear of the SPD AngeGabriel (and others) - hope you can all get the help you need and find a bit of relief.

We're having a group of friends over for a Christmas get-together tomorrow so I'm off to clean the house and do some shopping. I'm so grateful for my 3 day work week at times like this!

SparklySnowflakeKid · 11/12/2006 09:52

I am selling a French Connection boys age 2 dark grey parker with furry hood trim - very cute - just outgrown - very good condition - very thick and snuggly - does have my sones name on washing label though! Any interest before put in classifieds/ebay? Cost me £65 new - so maybe £10?? Have a photo could email.

Off to squidge my belly button!

GscrymsGoodies · 11/12/2006 10:10

LOL @ squidgy bellybuttons - mine is nearly poking out and makes me heave to touch it, so no squidging of mine going on here, I can assure you!!

@ nasty fluy buggy virusy thing H&Mforever. Hope you feel heaps better soon - I seem to be avoiding all the winter colds / flu / bugs atm; but DD's are v.chesty and snotty, poor things - DH has been a bit below parr too - Looks like it'll be me dragging everyone through the Festivities then!!

Buggery Arse to car Snowflake - What a nightmare!!!!! I REALLY hope they find out what is causing all these problems and fix it so you can stop worrying and start driving!! Grrrrr!

CaptainDippyClausWithABump · 11/12/2006 10:12

D'oh!! Forgot the name change back from another thread I was on last night ....

runnyhabbitdashingthruthesnow · 11/12/2006 10:56

Morning all

Net is now ok to use in work. But am trying to keep it to absolute minimum

Need some reassurance from my fellow mn'ers that I am not going completley mad. Lost my car/house keys over the weekend. Didn't seem a big issue on Saturday, and was able to use dh keys. Realised last night that it was a big deal, had all sorts of scenarios in my head - having to change the locks, getting a new key from Renault, the expense before Christmas, what if they had been stolen? had ds got hold of them and put them in the bin? After several hours of frantic looking, I sat down in the middle of the sitting room floor and cried my heart out. I kept saying to myself that I was so stupid, although dh was wonderful. Kept telling me I wasn't stupid, everything can be sorted, this is what we have insurance for etc. But I forgot where I left my purse last week too (found it though)
Found keys this morning in coat pocket I was adamant that I hadn't worn

I'm just shocked at how I broke down last night. And tbh I think dh was as well. I need to know I'm not the only one like this! Dh has said, very tactfully mind, that maybe this was a bit of wakeup call about being a bit more organised. But I used to be sooo organised.

Feel so much better for getting that off my chest

22+6

runnyhabbitdashingthruthesnow · 11/12/2006 10:59

Btw - at car SSK, and I've posted about the belly button to

at all those feeling crap and in pain

CaptainDippyClausWithABump · 11/12/2006 11:10

Awwww, runny - I do stuff like when I am NOT PG so don't you worry - you are tired, it is a busy time of year and you are hormonal and emotional - I don't think the way you reacted is anything to be worried about - I HATE loosing things and I always get in such a paddy when I can't find important stuff - [[hugs]]] Don't worry, it is normal!!!
