Thanks for the article slice of lemons I've told a few close friends, I'm thinking of getting a little babygrow that says 'can't wait to meet you grandma and grandpa' to break it to my parents in a few weeks if I can hold out that long. Last time was very stressful so the further along I am the better I'll feel about telling them.

pickledsausage we sound like were in the same boat, I had a reassurance scan at 6+3 and they moved me back to 5+4 (which was not very reassuring!) I have another long week to wait to see if there has been good growth and I've not really had any symptoms so I'm a bit anxious!

obsessedlex · 29/10/2015 10:55

Just spoke to my v friendly midwife for the first time - booking appointment is 26th November and she says scan should be a couple of weeks later Smile
It's all beginning to feel real xx

TattedPixie · 29/10/2015 11:23

I have no idea if this is the right place for me. Found out I'm almost 6 weeks. First time pregnancy too so reading all your comments is helping with what I can expect. Got my first doctor appointment on 10th November so will know more then.

Lovelybeano · 29/10/2015 11:32

Hi tatty

I'm meant to be packing today but I have to keep sitting down, I think the kids are getting frustrated with me cos I'm not playing with them so it makes the day harder. I stupidly thought if we were busy through the half term (we've been out everyday) that they would be quite happy with a pj and DVD day, how very wrong lol wish me luck for the rest of the day :)

Belvedere · 29/10/2015 12:04

Mrsmugoo I think yours sounds bad enough to call the doctor. You poor thing.
I feel sick all day but I've not actually been sick. Not fun!

TattedPixie · 29/10/2015 12:09

I've been feeling sick but no sign of actual vomiting, which is good because of Emetophia. Toast and Jacket Potatoes are my saving grace right now

Hi Mrsunsure I was 5+4 when I went in due to some light brown spotting and all they saw was a gestational sac with nothing in it. I am 9+3 now and had a scan yesterday to show a perfectly growing baby.

nehagarg · 29/10/2015 12:39

mrsmugoo definitely sounds like a trip to the doctor's is warranted. I hope you feel better soon. I am only nauseous, no vomiting and already I feel horrendous so really feel for you and everyone else having bad bouts of morning sickness. Sad

obsessedlex · 29/10/2015 12:54

mrsunsure I had a scan and thought I was 6+5 but they said they only saw a sac and was more like 5 - here's the scan with just the sac, they said to come back in 10 days which were the longest 10 days of my life but I went back and they dated me as 6 weeks and saw a healthy heartbeat - here's the scan pic - fingers crossed for you, just remember that you only normally read the bad stuff on Google and all the forums but statistically you are more likely to have a healthy pregnancy than not - chin up xxx

Sorry to have been so silent....
Feeling awful with two children and a full time job: maybe I forgot how tough this early pregnancy lark is?
I too had an early scan for bleeding last week which dated me at 6+4 (i.e. spot on)... might hearten some people to say that while they did find a good strong heartbeat this took some time. Apparently can be hard to see straight away if the picture isn't clear because you're tense (as was the case for me)....

PrincessPunzie · 29/10/2015 13:46

No worries at all beano I'm sure you have plenty on your mind! The cold has sort of moved into my head now anyway and I'm not as snot-ridden as I was! Getting breathless from going upstairs though, which is embarrassing for a fitness junkie - still, it's on the wane now I think, hope yours is too. Thanks mrsmugoo re. the Vicks, and I hope you get some respite from all that sickness soon x

iamdivergent · 29/10/2015 14:36

mrsmugoo if you go to drs take a urine sample with you, if it's really bad your urine will have ketones in it in which case they could either admit you to hospital or give you something for it. If not its just normal for you sickness. I had normal for you sickness first time round (sick between 5-10 times per day, but could keep away boutique meal down for an hour or so which is what you need to do) and hg second time round (being sick on average at least 3 times an hour every hour I was awake, as soon as something hit my stomach it was straight back up - still can't eat tomato soup 8yrs later!) requiring hospitalisation.

Had my booking appt with the drs today. He has dated me 27th June but says I and my 6+1 so I'm just sticking with my estimate of 22nd June til scan says otherwise. He took tons of blood, 6 containers worth and mind my bp was normal. He's referred me to mw and said they'll contact me in a few weeks for their own booking appt and I should get scan appt in the mail too. I've come away with a bruised crook, and my little folder and copy of ready steady baby! I'd totally forgotten about that!

Potkettleblack2 · 29/10/2015 14:55

Still so tired here but not been sick (although have felt like it a bit). I really feel sorry for those of you with bad sickness. I've just got my appointment for 12 week scan-20th Nov! Only three weeks from tomorrow-it's beginning to feel more real now! Although obviously I'm still apprehensive and hope that scan will be ok.

mrsmugoo · 29/10/2015 15:07

Thanks iamdivergent I'm pretty sure it's just normal for me at the moment, actually I haven't been sick all day since about 10am and had instant ramen noodles for lunch which stayed down.

Everywhere I go there are strong smells wafting around making me gag - if it's not food, it's perfume, or bins or the smell of petrol fumes from cars. It's almost like in cartoons when you see smells as swirly vapour trails!

TattedPixie · 29/10/2015 15:11

I'm like that mrsmugoo, any smell is making me feel nauseous, and some smells trigger a headache too. It's bad because I'm a cleaner for work and all the products have a really strong smell

nehagarg · 29/10/2015 15:20

Can't believe we have almost reached the end of the road on Thread number 2 ... We have actually overtaken the May 2016 bus! Grin

New thread here

Don't get lost! Smile

obsessedlex · 29/10/2015 17:52

I've just bought travel sickness wrist bands which my friend swears helped her nausea - I'll let you know if they work at all, I feel st least like I'm trying to do something to make myself feel better. I also bought ginger tea which is surprisingly nice!

Billi77 · 30/10/2015 00:10

5 weeks 5 days (although I think it's more like 5 and 2) And still no symptoms at all. Might have been hormonal today or might have just been in a terrible way over recent mishaps. Anyone else with no symptoms?

iamdivergent · 30/10/2015 16:51

Billi we are over on thread 3, the link is somewhere a few messages back Smile

Aki23 · 04/11/2015 12:09

Found out Monday I was 7 weeks gone shock very happy now though. Due end of June 2016 but still waiting to see the doctor - they can fit me in next week!
