I think it was Biffleroo who asked at the end of the last thread if anyone was starving hungry and not finding anything appealing - I'm the same! It's really odd! I normally love anything sweet but I'm just not interested.

I'm not really having much in the way of symptoms. I was a bit grumpy today though! I think I'm five weeks tomorrow based on the IVF calculator and I can't wait for my scan on 27th October.

Congratulations to new BFPs and those who had good scan results today. Good luck to everyone else x

MagicDucky · 13/10/2015 22:05

Does anyone know when I should visit my doctor/midwife? I went straight away last time but I'm sure she said you usually wait until the 8week mark and I'm only 4 just now.

BabySocks · 13/10/2015 22:11

magicducky I am waiting until 8 weeks this time, I would wait longer but don't want to miss booking my scan.

It's all so slooooooow, I find it impossible to believe I have know less than a fortnight! !

vitalite · 13/10/2015 23:54

Hi ladies,

I'm new here, congrats to everybody on their bfp's and hope everybody's beans stick!

I got my bfp today (well, 2 actually, one test is never enough is it Grin) We were on our 4th cycle of trying for baby no 3. Already have 2 ds but will be quite a big age gap between them all.

Probably going to get checked at EPU for an early scan due to a previous ectopic so can't wait for that reassurance as currently paranoid that it won't stick or may be ectopic but fingers crossed!

I think due date will be around 23rd June based on last period.

V X

edwardcullensotherwoman · 14/10/2015 00:39

Oops posted too soon! Hope everyone's feeling ok, my eyesight has been a bit off today,I suspect Ive had a migraine for the past 2 days(either that or I'm still in shock!)
Day off tomorrow thankfully, but think I might tell work on Thursday, it will make life easier if they know.
I'm 5wks today Grin

Torfhinn · 14/10/2015 05:43

DS woke up at 3.30am. Those delightful pregnancy hormones mean that I'm still awake Shock

Thankfully i have today off work and DS is in nursery. I'm sooooo going to slob around Grin

Lovelybeano · 14/10/2015 06:37

Hi vitalite , enjoy your lazy day *torfhinn, I'm working 12-9 today but can't wait until Friday to relax a little :)
As for food, it was my oh that pointed out I haven't had any chocolate for nearly 2 weeks (I've got a very sweet tooth and have at least 1 bar a day haha) I'm making myself eat 3 meals and a couple of pieces of fruit, if I'm hungry I feel sick, but when I sit with my meals I feel full so I can't eat loads.
Today I've got up and I feel and look super bloated bluergh, I'll try and drink plenty of water to combat it, anyone else really bloated ?

E11Chick · 14/10/2015 06:51

Almost 5 weeks and already suffering with not being able to sleep.....up by 3am every morning and struggle to get back to sleep. Anybody else found the same? I've only had this since I found out a week ago so not sure if it's just the excitement etc??? Xx

bikingintherain · 14/10/2015 07:02

lovelybeano, my chocolate intake has also gone down, although yesterday I fancied some and felt so sick afterwards for the next few hours. And that was what happened last time I tried. So chocolate and I are going to have to become distant friends.

E11chick, we're all different, but my first week or so we're like that but sleep has settle down a bit now so hopefully yours will too.

bikingintherain · 14/10/2015 07:03

*were

Never numourous other. Errors no doubt but that was the one I couldn't cope with.

bikingintherain · 14/10/2015 07:05

Oh my! I cannot type or think this morning. I give up.

obsessedlex · 14/10/2015 07:10

Thank you all for your crossed fingers - I am both dreading and longing for 11.30 to come. No more bleeding but heavy cramping, am fearing the worst.

Belleboo23 · 14/10/2015 07:14

Hi just wondered what vitamins everyone is taking I'm on the pregnacare ones with the separate omega 3 tablet but for some reason I find them so hard to swallow sometimes even hurts and I gag its weird just the omega 3 ones bother me! Also is anybody else wearing a maternity bra and does it help mine ache so much especially at night but I never usually sleep in a bra xx

Belleboo23 · 14/10/2015 07:15

Hope all goes well obsessedlex xx

Lovelybeano · 14/10/2015 07:26

I'll be thinking of you obsessedlex
belleboo23 I'm taking the asda ones, I'm not sure whether they differ in size xx
bikingintherain i hope we're over the no chocolate thing by Xmas - it's the only time of year I don't watch how much of it I'm eating haha I'm the one in the pjs cuddling the quality street tub on Boxing Day Grin

Clockstooticky · 14/10/2015 07:41

I found you! Phew. I'm being really good at not telling people, somehow, I normally blab loads. I'm determined not to.

No maternity bra here yet but I'm sure it won't be long...!

puffinz · 14/10/2015 07:56

Just adding myself .
Due on the 14th of June with baby number 3.
Very unexpected baby as I was sterilised in January 09 during a c section.
I am 40 years old and have 2 gorgeous boys age 8 & 6.
My 8 year old has hemiplegia CP and my 6 year old has 2 chromosome disorders, severe non verbal ASD, ADHD, severe global developmental delay and a rare genetic disorder, so life is extremely hectic.
I am also high risk due to carrying the Group strep B virus ( this is why DS1 has CP) I have a blood disorder which I take heparin injections for and an autoimmune disease that I take Humira injections for.
We have had multiple losses and a stillbirth before the boys came along.
Going to be an extremely bumpy ride for us.
First scan next Tuesday to check everything is in the right place.
I hope we go the distance this time as we only made it to 29 weeks last time and baby was / is extremely unwell.

nehagarg · 14/10/2015 08:02

Good luck today lex. Fingers crossed for you.

I am taking pregnacare butskippimg the omega 3 ones since they are fish oil and I'm vegan. Relying on a coupleof spoons offlaxseed on my bowl of fruit and almond milk every morning.

My symptoms seem to have settled into a pattern. I feel great when I wake up in the morning and then go back to nausea and achy boobs in the evening. Though boobs dont ache as much as last time. DH has a theory that boobs had changed for 10 weeks last time which is when I had the mc, so this time there arent much changes to make until I reach the 10 week mark, hence no pain. Hmm

Welcome everyone new. Flowers So exciting to have so many new BFPs. Comgratulations.

13loki · 14/10/2015 08:15

Good luck lex

nehagarg · 14/10/2015 08:18

puffinz. That sounds like a very rough road indeed. Hopefully all will be well with your newest little miracle. Smile

mrsmugoo · 14/10/2015 08:36

Morning all. Been wide awake since 5:30am for no reason today Hmm thanks hormones!

Not really feeling nauseous but food aversions are kicking in - things I normally eat a lot of are repulsing me e.g Humous, coffee. Basically strong tastes are a no, but I'm craving bland, salty food.

Boobs completely normal at the moment but they didn't start to go crazy until about 8 weeks last time so I've got 2 weeks of grace I reckon!

Considering telling my parents when they visit on Friday which is before my scan but otherwise I'd have to tell them on the phone and as this is my last baby it would be nice to tell them in person as I did it over the phone last time. I don't know though...?

MagicDucky · 14/10/2015 08:38

lex, good luck! Thinking of you!

puffinz I see what you mean about a rough road. Good luck!

Woke up this morning at 6 and still didn't leave the house on time! My own fault, warm showers on cold days are the best!

Last night I was thinking I hadn't had any mood swings. Woke up this morning and got furious because I couldn't find a hair bobble... That was on my wrist.

So it begins...

MadrigalElectromotive · 14/10/2015 08:48

Morning everyone.

lex fingers crossed for your scan later on.

I am taking perfect prenatal, which I found on Amazon, extra folic acid (because of coeliac disease and I am fat), extra vitamin D because I have been deficient in the past, and separate omega 3. Sounds like loads when I list it like that but it isn't too bad really! Grin

Has anyone talked about baby names with their OH yet? I don't think DH and I will be able to agree on anything!

I have booked a private scan for November 1st - I will be 9 weeks 2 days then so hopefully it will provide a bit of reassurance. Dh may well be away when I need to have my 12 week scan so it will also be a chance for him to have a peek.

Belvedere · 14/10/2015 08:52

So last week I went to the docs and they said I had a uti. Gave me antibiotics and sent off my sample just to see what it was.
Just had a call from the doctors to make an appointment to discuss my results but it's not till tomorrow. What can it mean? Very confusing. They said it's not urgent. I want to know now!
