Oh wow nehagarg I've never seen such an early scan that looked so much like a baby! You must be delighted!

Husband has said "yes" to a reassurance scan next week - still mulling it over as it's a lot of money and my mum seems to think it would be a bit pointless, but seeing that fabulous pic does make it seem more tempting.

No plans for any cute family reveals, but I've had my Facebook reveal planned since before I was pregnant! Now that I'm expecting I'm less keen on a Facebook reveal than I thought I was though, so it remains to be seen if I'll ever use it. If I do I'll share it on here Grin

nehagarg · 28/10/2015 12:28

Thanks miracles. How far along will you be in 3 weeks?

princess thats exactly my thoughts. It was moving and putting on a show which wqs lovely and my thoughts were - thank god its beginning to look human. Grin

MiraclesDoHappen82 · 28/10/2015 12:33

I'll be 7 + 6 when I have my scan. So almost 8 weeks. Hope mine will look good like yours. No symptoms other than sore boobs at night at the moment. 5 weeks today I am. How far along were others when other symptoms started?

AmIseeingRight · 28/10/2015 12:35

Hi all - had my scan today and bean is all good saw heartbeat and measuring 9wk but they said week keep my EDD so officially 8+6. Feeling very real and Grin

cautiousoptimist1 · 28/10/2015 12:39

MrsLewis I love your cute ideas. I told my parents and sister on the phone. Any ideas for a cute way to tell my nephew he's going to be a big cousin?

bikingintherain · 28/10/2015 13:12

wow nehagarg what an amazing picture. We have a 9 week scan next week and I'm really excited now!

laughingGnomette · 28/10/2015 13:19

Aww nehagarg what a lovely picture! Fab news. Are you now discharged from the EPU? Not long until 12 weeks now!! :)

Congrats also AmIseeing!

nehagarg · 28/10/2015 13:30

Congrats AmISeeing. It just makes it that much more real once you see it right? Otherwise I am just sat here going - "I dont feel any different" Grin

Thanks Gnomette ... Yep, i have been referred to antenatal now. 12 week scan on the 18th. Cant wait.

Good luck for your scan biking. Hope your bean is awake and dances around. That was definitely the best part. Smile

Miracles - i havent had much other than fatigue and very slight nausea (started 6 weeks). In the last week or so boobs have gone up a cup size but other than that, a very chilled put pregnancy. I count myself extremely lucky.

BiffleRoo · 28/10/2015 13:39

OMG I had a complete meltdown earlier and told DH I thought we might have made a mistake and now I've got the most horrific cramps. What have I done?!?! Confused

MindfulBear · 28/10/2015 13:39

Hi princess funny you should say that now you are pg a fb reveal is less inviting. When DS turned 1 and I put a photo on fb it was amazing how so many of my fb friends were like "omg I had no idea you had a baby"!!!!
I didn't put anything on fb at all about pg nor birth. And I usually put loads of fb. Was funny how I went the complete opposite.

mrslewis2015 · 28/10/2015 14:22

Congrats on the amazing scan nehararg and amiseeing! Wish I had an early scan booked, can't believe how far away 12 weeks seems!

cautiously aww thanks! Hmm that's a tough one! I've seen some cute t-shirts about or you could draw on one? Or there are some very sweet books about new babies... Or a little badge/crown 'best big cousin'? How old is he?

mrslewis2015 · 28/10/2015 14:25

biffleroo I'm so sorry that your so worried, hormones are so intense they make us all crazy at times! Nothing you could say would cause cramps, I've had dreadful ones all day and everyone says they are normal, but you could always call the doc if you are worried! Try and do something to take your mind off things, I'm sure your OH will understand how crazy this time can be!

laughingGnomette · 28/10/2015 15:38

nehagarg - yay, it's like graduating to upstairs! I'm sure you're glad to see the back of the EPU. Still waiting for my booking in and scan dates..... impatiently!

By the way, I don't know if it's helpful for anyone RE: the flu jab, but I found out that you can get it done for free at Boots if you are pregnant. You can book it online and pick the appointment that suits you. I work near a Boots so for me it was much more convenient than going to the GP and much more flexible (my GP surgery tend to dictate when your appointment is rather than giving you much choice in times and dates).

laughingGnomette · 28/10/2015 15:48

Wow, just noticed we're almost overtaking the May group with number of posts - what a chatty lot! :)

JellyBaby26 · 28/10/2015 15:57

nehagarg wow what a fabulous picture!

Rose2806 · 28/10/2015 16:13

Just got my letter from the midwife, first booking in appointment on 23rd November and 12 week scan (I will actually be 11 + 3 because I know I ovulated late but they are still dating it from last period, I assume this doesn't matter too much?) on 4th December. Eek so excited!

Have a scan booked next week when I will be 7 + 1, apart from a heartbeat how much have other people seen at this stage?

nehagarg · 28/10/2015 16:22

biffleroo - hugs. I am sure all is fine. Nothing you say or think can change much at this point.

Gnomette - for sure. Even at 9 weeks i feel mich more relaxed. I know there is a small chance but just the fact that this one made it farther than my last one did (mmc 6 weeks discovered at 10) is a big relief.

Thanks jellybaby

Rose - at my 7+1 scan all i saw was a little blob with a heartbeat. Looked more like a mouse than a human. Smile

earlgreydrinker · 28/10/2015 17:00

Catching up, there is so much going on.
Hope you are ok biffleroo some cramping is still normal
Fab scan nehagarg

Very happy to report my abdominal pain has now gone. I was really stressed (not helped by the GP who refused to do anything even after I went a second time). I'm not sure what happens here but no EPU it seems - very frustrating to have no support. Anxiously waiting to hear when my first midwife appointment is. I'm sure we heard the heart beat last time Smile.
Breasts are enormous, nipples sore and so nauseous. The thought of eating or cooking makes me wretch yet it's ok when I actually do (weird). Desperate to tell my family so I can have a bit of sympathy but there has not been a 'right time' yet. Kinda feel we missed the 'just found out' chance as I was reluctant to say anything due to the pain but also (and I know it's stupid) but my mum had a mc at 10weeks in her second pregnancy and I'm still a bit paranoid. I also had a tough labour and pnd. Worried they might think I'm a bit stupid for doing it again! (Sorry long post!)

Mrspopper · 28/10/2015 17:14

All these scan pictures are lovely. I haven't got one til 12 weeks feels like forever!

Lovelybeano · 28/10/2015 17:40

Lovely scan pic nehagarg so exciting to see a pic that is looking like a baby, the whole pregnancy thing amazes me, I wish I could watch that programme that was on bbc 2 a while back about how we develop again, it would seem so much more relevant now :) as for reveals, I have a special one planned for the kids, not sure about fb yet, I feel a bit like I'd be judged for having a 3rd child rather than celebrated , so I'm really really nervous about the announcement. Both sets of parents were shocked to say the least :(

AmIseeingRight · 28/10/2015 17:48

Hi

nehagrag it's was amazing to see and it's make us all very exited. I think it's the first time my excitement has been more than my worry.

earl glad your better, but have your tried the NHS website for a EPU near you? There is normally one in each area. I googled and self referred when I felt unwell, only went to the GP once and for my flu jab coz they don't do much.

biffleroo if you're worried you should also just try your local EPU, even if it's just for the reassurance. The first few months just cause loads of stress and anxiety.

Anyone else had or having their midwife booking appointment? Mine is Friday, it's used to seem so far away and now it's almost here.

nehagarg · 28/10/2015 18:01

Mine's next friday AmIseeing. Cant wait now that I know all is well. Was dreading it otherwise.

Scan makes the whole thing sooo much more real. I am with you. Finally allowing myself to acknowledge there will be a baby in June.

Thanks beano and earlgrey Smile

Mrspopper · 28/10/2015 18:01

We haven't had any twins yet have we? I know a few people who have had twins recently. None in my family though so I reckon there's only one in there ;)

bikingintherain · 28/10/2015 18:08

Arrrgggghhhhh!!! Just changed DS nappy and discovered he has thread worms! At the best of times the thought really freaks me out, and now knowing I'm pregnant and can't take anything I'm really freaking out. I was reading online just now that there's a 75% of you catching it if someone else in your family has it.

All my family are going to be forced (by me) to take the medication to get rid of them and now I have to instigate crazy cleaning routines and do even more washing to make sure it doesn't get transmitted to me (if I've not already got them, but thankfully no symptoms so far.)

Sorry to derail the topic.

mrslewis2015 · 28/10/2015 18:12

Oh what a nightmare for you biking!! Hope you don't get them, I'm sure it will be ok if you do tho! Hope your little one is ok!
